Chapter 4 Daniels P.O.V

After seeing how beautiful Eva looked today I couldn't just let the day end with her mad at me. When I saw her in that sundress I thought to myself, How come you never dressed like this before. I just thought maybe now she wants to be able to impress some other guys or something. I don't know. But all I know is Lisa was trying real hard today to taunt Eva with out relationship. I was really annoyed with it but I don't know how this whole thing works. I'm new to having a girlfriend.

I was relieved that she agreed to talk to me face to face. So I hurriedly got dressed and made my way over to her house with some food. I know she would be pissed so I am taking her some Panda Express. She loves her Chinese food. So when I got there she was outside waiting for me.

" I bought you some food. Hope you are hungry." I say as cheery as I can.

"You know I am always hungry." She says with an attitude. I mean she isn't wrong.

Well we make our way inside her house and go to the kitchen.

"I also got you your favorite, honey walnut shrimp and general chao chicken, oh and a Dr. Pepper. I also got your mom some food. I didn't know if she would be at work or if I could catch her on time."

"She is getting ready for work. She will be down in a bit. " She began to take the food out of the bag and put it down on the table. Eva's mom wouldn't have a chance to sit down and eat with us, so I go to the cabinets and get the tupperware for her lunch box that we usually pack for her.

I begin to put her plate of food that I bought her into different containers, and place them inside the lunch bag. And I take her cup and put her soda in there. While Eva is making her coffee ad putting it in her coffee cup. For as long as I can remember Eva and I have been doing this for Ms. Lopez, she has always been so nice and comforting to me that I do anything to repay her.

"Daniel sweetheart, hi how are you?"

"Hello Ms. Lopez. I'm good I just wanted to bring you guys some dinner. I already packed it for you in your lunch bag."

"And I made you your coffee mom."

"Thank you guys you two are such great kids. I love you guys. I got to go I'll see you tomorrow in the morning Eva. And Daniel will I see you tomorrow as well?"

"I don't know mom Daniel might be busy with his new friend." Eva says with a hint of sarcasm.

"Oh new friend. Well I hope I can see you on my day off so I can hear about this 'NEW FRIEND'. I got to go guys. I love you both."

"Bye mom love you."

"Bye Ms. Lopez." as she leaves we wave her off and go inside.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Eva asks as she gets the hot sauce out of the fridge.

"Are we ok? I mean today you seemed pissed off. I know that Lisa can be a bit much but I thought that we both agreed that we would still be friendly and we would still hang out with each other after school and whenever I am not with her."

"I don't know I mean I can tell that she really doesn't want you to be around me. Why not just give her that satisfaction. Its fine with me I mean I have other friends you know." She tells me but she isn't looking me directly in the face like she usually does.

"Eva I know that things are going to be different between us since I have a girlfriend now but that is no reason why we can't still be friends." Why is she being so hard headed?

"Look lets just leave things like this its fine. I want you to be happy and if being with Lisa makes you happy then be with Lisa. Who am I to come in the way of your happiness?"

At this point I want to just grab Eva by the face and kiss her so hard and tell her that I love her but I can't.

"You really are just going to let me go just like that Eva?"

"Yes for your happiness." Wow just wow.

"Okay then Eva. As you wish." I say and I get up and make my way to the door. I look back while I have my hand on the door knob, she isn't looking at me. She is looking at the table with a blank stare in her eyes. I don't understand why when this is all her choice. But I just walk out.

It's been months since I last talked to Eva. I miss her so much. It kills me that I don't get to spend time with her like I used to. And for some reason now that I am not talking to her as much, she looks like she is getting that much more beautiful by the day.

Since football season is over I would spend a lot of time with Lisa after school, but I would take advantage of her cheer practice because I would at least get to see Eva practice as well. I know I am a creep but I miss her. She even started talking to some guy from the boys basketball team. Marcus. Ugh. Just the thought of him with her disgusts me. I don't know what she sees in him. I mean yea some girls say that he is cute and he is tall and smart. Ugh who am I kidding he is perfect for her. I can't help it, I mean they don't kiss in public but they sometimes hold hands when he walks her to class and ugh he carries her books for her. It makes me sick to my stomach with jealousy.

Once cheer practice is over I see that basketball practice is also over and I see Eva and Marcus talking near the locker room. I want to run up to them and separate them but I can't, Lisa is already in my face all sweaty and trying to kiss me.

"Hey baby, I'm going to shower real quick and then we can go." She says and I just nod my head and make my way to my car.

I am waiting for Lisa by my car when I see Eva and Kim coming out and laughing together God how I miss Eva's laugh. Its so cute. Then I hear, "Baby, I'm ready lets go." Ugh here we go.
