Grave situation

Ciel was laughing so sweetly that it left Arthur dazed. He became lost in deep thoughts but after a while, a wide grin appeared on his face. The devilishly handsome face of his came near to Ciel's face and very sensually he whispered. "Oh, little sweetie. You are still the same. Headstrong but cute and your giggles, I can never forget them, you witch"

When Ciel heard what Arthur had said, her already pink face became even pinker as she started struggling "Your words are as crazy as you"?

Ciel was going crazy while listening to him. Even though he had his disguise Ciel could easily tell that the man in front of her was someone very handsome. Though she knew that the way this man was acting was strange but strangely she didn't feel any disgust or repulsion for him.

Arthur felt that she probably would have forgotten about the incident so he let go of her.

"Miss Ciel, I was telling you the truth, but you are not buying it. Now, what am I supposed to say?" Arthur made a pitiful face which was dramatically sad.

Ciel knew that he was acting, and it made her pissed off but she didn't shout at him. She was amused and frustrated at the same time. 'Oh, lord! How can a man be so dramatic' she cursed under her breath?

Arthur knew that she was a hard nut to crack and challenging her limits would do no good, so he tactfully brought his expressions to normal. "Lady Ciel, I think we should leave. I don't mind accompanying you the whole night but I think your sister would be searching for you. Shall we?" Arthur asked her with a smile on his face.

"Sure, let's leave", Ciel said casually.

Two of them walked for a bit and in no time, they were standing at the front gate of the venue. From afar they saw a beautiful couple. The man was holding 3-4 bags filled with different things in one hand and the other hand was holding a beautifully wrapped mini box. The girl was holding two sweet candies in both of her hands. From the looks, you could easily guess the harmonious and cheerful expressions of them. The girl seemed bubbly as she was feeding herself and the man, cotton candies which she was holding. The man too had a faint smile.

"Why do I think that my sister has forgotten about me?" Ciel grumbled.

"She is just enjoying herself. What's there to be jealous about? I am here too but you won't bother looking at me. Forget about enjoying ", Arthur teased Ciel.

"......"

Ciel was speechless.

"Shameless", she hissed.

Camy noticed her sister Ciel and the man. They were both arguing. She felt guilty leaving her sister with a strange man. Vladis knew what she was thinking so he consoled Camy "Don't be sad. Look, your sister is just arguing. She is not angry. It's probably just a banter."

Camy knew that her sister was not someone who would talk to anyone so if she was talking to someone then it means that she at least thought of them as an acquaintance. With that, she kept her worries aside.

"Ciel, How was your trip?" Camy asked.

"We enjoyed Camy. What about you? I can see you shopped quite a lot". Ciel said gleefully.

"Vladis, sorry for the trouble caused by my sister", she offered a sweet smile to Vladis.

"It was nothing". Vladis said with a faint smile.

"What's in the box Camy?" Ciel asked?

"It's a brooch, Ciel. Vladis didn't allow me to spend my money and instead, he paid for everything, so I bought a gift for him" Camy said casually.

On the other side, Arthur sulked and shot a glare at Ciel.

Ciel knew that she was in deep waters, so she immediately changed the topic of discussion.

"Sis I think it's late now. We should leave for home otherwise mother will scold us for traveling late at night". Ciel spoke. Camy nodded her head in understanding.

Soon everyone sat inside the carriage. Camy was too tired so she slumped on Ciel's shoulder. Ciel had also closed her eyes. There was complete silence, but it was not spooky at all, instead, it was calm and peaceful.

It was a silent ride and soon they reached their destination. Ciel woke Camy up and then they went inside the mansion. The atmosphere inside the carriage changed abruptly. Arthur was now quiet and stoic and Vladis did not have a smile on his face.

"You noticed?" Arthur asked.

"Yeah, they are really hard-working and brave too". Vladis commented.

"I don't think the men who came earlier have anything to do with them," Arthur said with a serious look.

"What do you mean?" It was now Vladis's turn to ask questions.

"Well, I don't think they are stupid enough to send ordinary assassins to kill us. Are you forgetting who we are dealing with? No matter what, they would never make such a stupid mistake? The assassins who came were ordinary men with no magic so it's totally impossible that the assassins were sent by them. Earlier when Ciel and I were strolling I noticed that Ciel was walking aimlessly towards a stall of ornaments and charms. Though they were all fake, I noticed magical energy coming from a bracelet. Not only this but the intriguing part was, the bracelet which Ciel was going to pick up was the same bracelet which was radiating energy," Arthur explained pensively.

Vladis knew that something was wrong. It was not the way things should have progressed. There was someone in the dark trying to kill Camy and Ciel. It was a serious matter.

"Didn't you see the culprit? I think we should send someone to investigate. What do you think?", Vladis asked.

"There is no need. I saw an old lady near the stall who was smiling when Ciel was walking towards the stall but as soon as she saw me holding Ciel's hand and stopping, her smiley face became sinister. I don't know who the old lady was, but she was definitely not a human. After a failed attempt she would have probably fled from there."

"No magic means no clues," Vladis said solemnly.

"Ask that man to hurry up and meet me tomorrow. It's been days since I have sent him to investigate it."

"Sure" Vladis replied.
