Easy life

As Arthur's gaze swept past, Cynthia turned more unsettled. Morsee shook his head in disapproval when he saw how she behaved.

"Lord" He bent down deeply to bow as a greeting. Following the cue, Cynthia, too, stood up from her seat and bowed her head. Since she had a higher status, she didn't need to bend her body.

Arthur nodded in approval. "Take a seat" He gestured to no one in particular. Long gone was his soft face, his eyes turned cold and hollow while a complacent smile graced his lips. Cynthia felt lost but that was how Arthur was. Since they were children, he always treated her with courtesy just like now. However, it was alright because he was still tolerable towards her unlike other females, who weren't even granted his one look.

"Arthur, it's been long. How have you been?"
