Invitation

"No need???! Ohoo... sis, then I'll leave you to your guest. Please do look for me, when you are in NEED!" Wei Wei emphasised the word 'need' then she bade farewell and left.

Jo went to meet the stylist and this time she was pleased with the result of their meeting. Jo even managed to select a few beautiful gowns that she could try on his next visit.

The days went one by one and the long expected night, finally arrived. Jo chose two gowns for tonight, both of them were simple yet elegant and exquisite. She didn't want to attract attention nor disappoint, as she would pretend to be the wife of the most desired man in China.

In the dark walk in closet, Jo was sitting on the floor and holding a small case in her hands, her eyes were closed and her expression sombre. She was wearing a floral Valentino Haute Couture gown, her hair was curled and loose, pinned with a diamond clip on one side. On the floor was her luggage, the one which she managed to get back from the hotel. A light knock on the door disrupted her thoughts.

"Miss Ri-El, its time" Butler Gu quietly informed her. Lu Ye Ze had to leave first, as important guests have arrived ahead of time, so he had to be present. He headed towards the banquet directly from the office.

Jo got up from the floor and put the small case in her clutch bag. She then walked out of the house and entered into the car. Shortly after, the car came to a stop.

In front of the venue, more and more guests in formal ware made their appearance. The atmosphere was lively and pleasant.

The driver opened the back door of the car and a slender figure stepped out. The attention of all the people at the entrance, was suddenly attracted like a magnet towards the girl. They were all looking at her in amazement and disbelief. A elderly couple stopped in their tracks and were talking to each other.

"This woman is so beautiful and her aura is so distinguished. I wonder who's family daughter is she and is she single? Our spoiled brat is close to his thirties now and he doesn't even plan to marry" Said the woman. Her son was the no 1 player in the capital, a lot of girls crossed through his bed and many more cued in line. He didn't have any thoughts of settling down any time soon.

"I would love to have a daughter-in-law like her, she would definitely make me proud!" Added the woman. They were the General Su and his wife, a very influential family in China with strong military background.

Jo entered the venue's foyer and headed towards the entrance. Two young hostesses were at the door, greeting the on coming guests.

"Your invitation Miss!" One of them asked politely, but there was a glint of evil in her eyes.

"I am a guest of Mr. Lu Ye Ze" Replied Jo

"Haha ha" The other hostess let out an awkward laugh.

"Miss... there are plenty of beauties in this country, who pretend to be connected to the young Master of the Lu family. If you don't show me an invitation, I might have to ask you to leave the venue" Continued the hostess rather loudly attracting all the attention of the people in the foyer.

The other guests instantly started gossiping.

"Ha! So she's here on wishful thinking! Some women nowadays, don't have any shame. They throw themselves in the arms of all these powerful men, without any restraint!" Said an elderly woman. Most of the guest tonight were in their forties and fifties. The age of Madam Lin Yan and also, most of them were her friends, wealthy families with very powerful background.
