Chapter 5: Party

When I step out are literature class, Andrei wants me to come near him. Like a stars bright up when the night came. Like a lightest aura here in the world scattered through his body. I felt happy, not happy that I feels when I'm with him before. Not the good mood that I had when he tease me all night, but it's different before. When I recite in front of the class, when their attention are on me, It's just that I felt like a confession to myself, that truly, I admitted my feelings for Andrei. It's not the best friend and care kind of love, but it is different.

"Hi" When I came in front of him, I awkwardly smile, it's weird but I saw the side of his thin reddish lips raise a little bit looks like I wanted to taste it. Wait… WHAT?! I don't know what I'm saying, Out of my reverie.

"Is that you? Nikkola are you there? "waving his hands in front of my beautiful face.

I shook my head jokingly and my arms crossed above my chest.

"The hell are you talking about? Of course, it's me" after that I rolled of him but his mischievous smile in his thin luscious lips doesn't fade away.

"Did your professor gave you a high grade in her class? "he ask like his trying to identify the root of my suddenly light up mood. This guy, I realized that his handsome face is a big impact to those girls in our university. It can attract girls and his bad boy look give a plus points to have him easy access to have a girlfriend. But suddenly, my smile faded away when I overthink about his love life. What lucky girl will be ever be his future girl right? He's caring, kind and have a respect to his fellow people that he encounter in his life, plus points only his looks. All must say, girls will drool on him when he court a girl and if they meet Andrei fully.

"What suddenly change in your mood Nikko? " I look at him and I saw a concern to his face. I'm lucky to have him. He's my best friend but why I'm satisfied of it, thinking that he only be my best friend and nothing at all.

"Nikkola!" before I could answer Andrei, Mika called me. She came to us and obviously her cheeks reddened. I knew that, it's because I'm with Andrei. I welcome her a smile and ask why.

"Don't forget the party later tonight, I will wait for you, and... you can bring Andrei if you want" she chuckle shyly. I guess it's because of Andrei. He's listen to Mika and I knew that Mika have a feelings for Andrei.

"Yah, we will. Thanks for reminding me Mika" I said.

"See yah! I'm waiting for you two tonight at the rooftop, 8pm. I will go now, bye" she dismissed the talk. After that Andrei faced me. As if I done a crime and not tell him what I've done and he's lips pursed.

"Why didn't you tell me about the party? If you're planning to go alone?" Although I saw an concern on his face,he's remain beautiful man in my eyes. The heck!

"I forgot to tell you about it, sorry" my look down like I am in a principal' s office that done a scenario that's not good. I stilled when he guide my head up with hus index finger below my chin. He gaze at me as if he accused me in a wrong way and harshly. I saw his concern and he examine my reaction like he wants to have an answer to what is my reaction comes.

"Are you sick?" he held my elbow and examine me head to toe. I'm not sick, I'm not tired but there's a hole in my heart and suddenly realization about us, bestfriends... Nothing more, nothing less. After that he never waits for my respond and guide me to go home now. He ask me about the party if we'll go, I said 'yes' it's because I realized that I'm starting to have a friends, not that I don't want to be my friend but I want to have girl friends too.

Hours have passed when we, Andrei and I go home to ready for the party. Standing in front of my full body sized mirror wondering if my outfit is okay. I straightened my hair. Wearing a gray sleeveless top partnering with black ripped jeans. I put a small amount of make up and lastly before I go downstairs, white snickers to partner the outfit.

When I open our door, I saw Andrei, waiting. But when he saw me go outside he stood and gave me a smile... As a response, I smiled back. Accidentally, our outfit is a matchy. I chuckled bevause of that. Wearing a gray V-neck top and ripped jeans, white snickers to but our difference is he have a watch in left wrist and a silver chain necklace.

In my surprise he hugged me tightly.

"I know that something upset you earlier, I juat wanna say that I'm here foe you. I'm ready to listen to your problems. Don't lose hope, it'll be better soon" he kissed the side of my head and I felt his concern for me. I wish that you said is true. I wish...

I laugh. Such a good actress right? It's because it buys him.

"I don't know what are you talking about, I'm just only tired and I don't intend to be worried about me. I'm just drain, that's all. No more drama please" I embrace him and chuckled.

After that commotion, we get ourselves inside the car and go now. After a couple of minutes or so, we are now infront of the bricks building that has a 3 floors with a rooftop. It's like an accommodation or a dormitory or so. I guess we're now in Mika's party because I so the lights that's for parties, such a mixed colors.

We go upstairs and knock on the door of the rooftop I guess. Andrei keeps his both hands in pockets of his ripped jeans and whistle cooly. When the door opened,I saw the lights beautifully mixing together. The door opened and Mika welcomef us. She hugged me and smiled at Andrei.

"Come inside Nikkola,Andrei. Thanks for coming here tonight." Her smile is big and inspired. I look up at Andrei and he smiled back at Mika whose entertaining us. After a couple of minutes,Mika dissmissed us temporarily to welcome her other guess. While Andrei and I go to the table that has full of food and drinks.

When I turn to see Andrei, I saw his brows creased like he's wondering.

"What's with that face?" I awkwardly chuckle but his face reaction maintained. I smile,such a good actresses isn't I? Whenever I saw him, I rememorized Mika that she has a feelings for my bestfriend. My heart hurts and my smiles fades away. What if he likes Mika? What if he dump me? what I supposed to do with this? I don't know what to do? We just sat down and enjoy our food. But I stand up and go for a second round of drinks. I don't know how supposed to react when Andrei stood up and next to him is Mika. I panicked and follow them quietly.

When they go downstairs, I continue to follow them. When they stop infront of the door in second floor, I hide on the wall to eavesdrop.

"What now Mika, oh by the way thanks for inviting us here. Such a good party for us" I heard Andrei's voice.

"Uhmm...I just want to..." This time, I heard Mika's shy voice.

"Is there...a problem Mika?" Andrei

"I like you Andrei" my eyes widened because of the confession of Mika. I knew it! But my heart slice into two when I look up on them and the next thing I saw...

Mika imprisoned the jaw of Andrei in both hands and she kissed him on the lips. But Andrei didn't complain. I felt a trickle of water on my eyes and wiped it immediately. After that...

I go downstairs and escape the party the faster I can.
