It's true.

I'm tired of loving him.

But I was held by an invisible chain, binding me into this inescapable world.

I tried to leave and ended up killing myself.

By the time I lost my breath, I will breathe another one.

A new life again, and again and again.

Like a broken stereo that's been repeating the same old song.

I wanted to die peacefully this time.

And I don't wanna love him anymore.

Red Strings (RS)

The smell of the ocean, the sun draping down on my skin like a warm blanket and the soles of my feet being soaked in the water.


It's the second time, and I still am curious of this dream of mine.


I saw a man's hand, he held it to me while I clasped it, I could feel myself smiling though I don't know the reason behind it.


My vision still felt like it was still covered with a veil making me not see the face of the man in my dreams.


Then he caressed my cheeks, his palm were hot on mine and his fingers  gently stroke my cheeks in a loving manner.


I could see his lips opening and when he was about to say something, my whole body turned 180 degrees and it felt like I just got thrown into the floor.


Turns out I was right, I am laying in the floor.


"What is happening to me?" I buried my body into the bed and tried to forget my vague dream, maybe it's just a manifestation of my expectations, who knows?


It's currently Sunday which means I should be at the An's residence today having some family dinner.


When I got inside the old residence, butler Lin greeted me as I nod at him politely then went to the living room.


There, my mother in law and An Yi Wei sat on a table filled with cards as Nai Nai repeatedly harrumped at her son and grandson.


"Good afternoon, Nai Nai, mother, father and husband. I hope I'm not late"


"Ai! Come here Caia! Take revenge for Nai Nai!" I went over Nai Nai and the maids immediately went forward and gave me a seat.


"Don't worry Nai Nai, I'll take our glory back" she just slapped the table repeatedly saying good as my father in law smiled at me helplessly.


"If you say that, it feels like we're bullying you mother"


Nai Nai snorted and glared at her son "Isn't that what you all doing to this poor, weak lady earlier?! Hmph!" I giggled at Nai Nai's childlike anger before shuffling the cards and meeting An Yi Wei's eyes.


His eyes bore into mine while I avoid it the moment we met, let him assume that it's because I am shy or embarrass not because I don't really care for him.


The game finished with me winning it and my mother in law getting called away by her friends. Only Nai Nai, my father in law, An Yi Wei and I remain in the living room.


I notice the look that Nai Nai gave to her son, it's says to leave us and of course, the calculating old man knew when to retreat.


I guess An Yi Wei, with that sharp eagled eye of him notice it and was about to stand up when Nai Nai told him to seat.


"Nai Nai I'm going to get you two some drink"


Of course I wouldn't be left behind, after all I've managed to live for a long time and I know when there's something serious to happen.


But then the familiar sizzle in my brain and all of my limbs are not in my controll anymore.


"Sit down Caia, I have something to talk about with the two of you"


I'm having a bad feeling, and my guts are usually right.


"Caia, ah, my dear" Nai Nai started as she held my hand "You've been together for five years, am I right?"


I could hear An Yi Wei's sigh and wanted to do the same as him but I can't.
