ÜberCharge (Part 2)

So, I had ÜberCharge. One of the scariest things to see in Team Fortress 2 next to a coordinated rush of Demomen/Medics and a Plhogpyro aided with a Medic. Only, without the Medic, but the Engineer.

I was bald, I had a southern accent, wore a hardhat, used a 'shotgun' (yes, a rifle, but who cares?), and was somehow able to spontaneously generate an ÜberCharge. Therefore, that made me a complete Engineer! Now the only thing missing was the robotic hand, the goggles, and being clean shaven.

Of course, a myriad questions appeared on my mind when I realized what was happening? Why ÜberCharge and not the stock Super Saiyan mode Sonic entered when powered? Didn't the Charge require both a Mega Baboon heart and a pacemaker-like device, the latter to transfer whatever energy the Medigun used and the former to substite your own when the Medic inevitably makes it explode?

"Eggman?" I hear Vanilla call from behind.

What took my attention was that she looked completely fine: she was standing upright on her own, no blood on her mouth, no bruises on her face... It was as if she had never been dropped from several feet high, after being slapped to the ground with a thick glove.

Then another thought made its way to my head. What if I wasn't just indestructible, what if I was, for a lack of a better term, being 'healed' by the other, non-existant Mediguns? My limbs were sparking with electricity, so I was being affected by the Kritzcharge, which in this case made me stronger, and the healing of others was pretty obvious. What other 'powers' did I have? Inmunity to being pushed around? Increased healing factor? Being able to follow Sonic around as long as I touched him?

Living pigeons inside my ribcage? I stroked my chest with a bit of fear. I mean, anything could happen, no?

"Eggman!" Vanilla exclaimed. "Eggman, are you alright? You're glowing red!"

"You're asking me if I'm okay? That guy made you fall from the ceiling, and that after hitting you with a rock!"

"And he tortured you with enough electricity to power the entire planet, and burn your beard!" She yelled back. Okay, she got a point there.

"Yeah, but I'm okay. Still, what about you?" I asked again. I had every right of being more worried than her than she about me. Yeah, she was healed, but still.

"Well, I do feel a bit tingly, but otherwise I think I'm fine." She said, inspecting herself. "

"Boss." Orbot said, inspecting me closely. "I think you absorbed part of the Master Emerald's energy when you grabbed it."

"And Metal Sonic did the same thing when you chucked it out!" Cubot said.

I already knew that, but still, if a robot programmed to be a butler confirmed that, indeed, you were under the effects of what was essentially an amalgam of all the ÜberCharges ever made by Medic, then it was actually happening.

So, to summarize, I was envelopted in an indestructible force field/armor/whatever, I was stronger, and just being near people healed them of their wounds? I had lots of things to discover of my 'Super Saiyan' mode.

Fortunately, I had a way to find them out right outside.

"Neat then." I said. "Well, I told you I would teach that robot a lesson, didn't I? Stay here." Then, after crouching, jumped through the hole Metal Sonic made. Doesn't sound so impressive, what with the jumps I made when fighting with Shadow, right? Well, I got high enough to oversee not just Angel Island but also the clouds. At what altitude do clouds form, five kilometers or so, six? Anyway, high enough that it took me some time to fall down, enough to allow me to see how the battle between the guys and the mecha-dragon was going.

Sure enough, the Resistance (including Silver and Whisper, who predictable were pretty much alive) were fighting a giant, dragonified Metal Sonic, hitting him with everything they had, without success, despite Sonic, Gemerl, and Shadow's assitance; even the shuttle's weapons didn't do a thing.

My jump-assisted foot on the back of his head, on the other hand, made him roar in pain and fall to the ground hard enough to make a crater, but strangely enough not a shockwave. Obviously that didn't go unnoticed by the others, who stared at me with wide eyes and gaping jaws as I jumped on Metal and tried to pry the Master Emerald off him.

"What the?!" That was Knuckles.

"Super Eggman?!" And Sonic.

"I thought only hedgehogs could directly harness the true power of the Master Emerald?!" Tails.

"Well, only hedgehogs have actually tried to harness its power by absorbing it and actually do it. Eggman only used it as a source of power you know." Rouge.

I wasn't paying attention to them, though (well, not that much), busy as I was fighting Super-Powered Metal Sonic, who was trying his damnest to squash me, and I turn was doing everything I could to rip the Master Emerald off his... crotch (yeah), to depower him or something like that; even it taking it off didn't bring him back to normal, at least I could make sure it would be out of his reach, or make Sonic use it to become Super or whatever and help me disable Metal Sonic without destroying him outright.

Why did I want to keep him alive despite everything he did?

Well, first of all, that's exactly the same thing Shadow asked when he tried to kill me, and I didn't want to feel like an hypocrite. Not that he wouldn't get a mighty beating to teach him a lesson, but I didn't want to kill him.

Second, I wanted to reel him in, as in, get him to become good like me, or at least neutral. Why? Well, if I could, then why he couldn't. Yes, I had the excuse of having lost most of my memories and having had a change of heart, whereas Metal Sonic was programed explicitaly to be evil

If that failed, though, I would drop him somewhere else. Didn't want to kill him, shutting him down would essentially render him a vegetable, and reprogramming his software would have been brainwashing, which wasn't the same thing as becoming a better person by yourself and, you know, utterly wrong. Besides, I didn't think I could actually reprogram him, what with being an engineer now.

That said, it was harder than it sounded, since despite the size disparity we were both on equal power levels, using DBZ lingo, which was both good and bad for me. Fortunately, I had the advantage of having two functional arms, whereas he lacked one of his. It turned out that it wasn't his leg I destroyed when he accidentally tried to crush us, what with it having no legs, but his left arm; he instead hovered on the air rather than walk. The more you know.

"WHY!?" Metal Sonic roared at me as he tried to crush me. "WHY DO YOU FIGHT FOR THOSE THAT WOULD RATHER SEE YOU JAILED, OR WORSE?!" Did he really ask why? And was he just talking about Shadow and Knuckles, and very possibly Whisper?

"Because I want to prove to them!" Not really, well, not anymore. "Dagnabbit, let me help you! Look, I made you, right?!"

"YES!"

"Well, that makes me your father, and that means you have to obey me!"

You can imagine what happened next.
