Emperor of Rome Knows About Lailah?

      "Who are you three?"

The Roman Emperor's voice was husky, refined and polished. His accent wasn't all well spoken of, but at least, even the deaf could make a meaning of it.

Jim looked at his two brothers who were by his right and left. The three of them were kneeling before the throne.

Jim thought that one of them should speak to the Emperor. Even though he knew not what to say.

"I'm sure you do not want that repeated?"

The Emperor's voice came again. Ja cleared his throat of the lumps of confusion. He was going to speak when Jim snatched the medium,

     "Nymph hunters."

He said. Ja looked at him. More of a are-you-insane kinda of gaze.

Tzu had his eyes all glued to the Emperor on the throne.

Behind the three of them were numerous chiefs who had come with the Emperor. At a point, you would think they had come for war.

One of the chiefs held a chain which was tied to a straying cheetah.

Only few of the chiefs could sit. The kingdom of Havila wasn't so huge for the entourage of the Emperor.

"And you think you could kill her?"

The Emperor said again. Jim looked at Ja. How did the Emperor know about Lailah. Or was that why he had come?

That really didn't matter. Jim shot at him,

"Not when the deed is already done."

     The Emperor smiled.

     "Dead indeed."

He called at one of the chiefs who had a scroll with him. The chief hurried to the throne and handed it to him.

The Emperor let the scroll flat as he shared an intimidating gaze with the three.

"It's quite obvious that you three know little about dark magic. Well, that's not the reason I'm here."

He hesitated. Jim didn't bite from the chop. He always had something to say.

"A sorcerer recommended the rite. And she melted into thin air. How could she possibly survive that?"

The face of the Emperor at that melted into a  frown.

     "She melted?"

Jim nodded his head feeling the wave of his victory. Both on the I-know-all Emperor and the crazy Lailah.

A part of him thought that the Emperor and Lailah would make the best couple. They definitely should.

"In my years of my reign, I've seen a hag crushed into powder and rose from it."

      The Emperor paused and scoffed,

"That's the undaunted strength of black magic. And here we talk about a Nymph."

He stood up and walked down the stairs of the throne.

His rare, prestigious toga picta and purple tunica palmata, embroidered with gold, graced his trained steps.

He got to the front of the three. He was tall. Tall enough to break the bones of the three of them at once.

You would wonder how many heads he had crushed before he became the Emperor. In fact, only a retard would question why he was made the Emperor.

"That is not mine to tell you. You do not belong in this Kingdom."

He said, chopping his rich words into lumps of syllables,

"And for the harms you've caused, you all deserve to be punished."

He paused and pointed at the door,

     "You three and those two."

The three of them turned almost at once and saw two guards dragging in Loe and his ex wife. The newly betrothed wife of Ja.

As Ja Lia saw her, he wanted to stand as he called,

     "Mira."

But the pressure on his shoulder by the Emperor's hefty fist couldn't him.

    "You know her?"

Jim asked Ja. Ja didn't owe him an explanation. Loe and Mira got to them.

Loe and Mira knelt close to Tzu. Loe tilted a bit to hold Ja in his gaze. As soon as he did, he asked,

     "Where's Lailah?"

Ja threw his face sideways. He didn't owe Loe an answer too.

In short, he didn't owe any goddamn person an answer.

But he kinda had a rethink and pointed at Jim,

     "She's with him."

Jim looked briefly at Ja and then turned to Loe. The guy he had never seen in his life.

Jim scoffed as Loe looked away from him. Both Ja Lia and Loe were sick to him.

"There are six kingdoms in this region. And these kingdoms had been set in turmoil because the helmet of Jin had been misplaced. At least, that was what I thought in the first place before I smelt another odd ongoing and I got to discover that twas caused by an unusual lady, who you said was a Nymph."

The Emperor said tossing his head at Jim.

"I have come to restore the helmet to its position and punish the offenders. Goodness! All the Kings had been killed. "

The Emperor hurled, more displeased and walked back to the throne.

"She killed them, we knew nothing about it."

Ja shot, at least trying to take a responsibility after a long time. He was as confused as the lands were.

"I didn't expect that from you."

The Emperor stared at Ja. Ja was going to ask what that meant when the emperor signalled one of the chiefs who had a mat with him.

The chief handed the mat over to the Emperor. The Emperor unrolled and threw it on the floor. It accurately fell before Ja and the remaining folks kneeling.

Then the Emperor stood up, outstretched his arms and began to do what was close to chanting. Then a scene was shown on the mat.

A scene where Ja Lia was having an agreement with Lailah.

After he was sure the five had seen the scene, the Emperor immediately stretched his right arm forward and cupped it at the same time. The mat flew back to him instantly.

    That was magic.

Jim felt like strangling Ja Lia, then they heard the Emperor again,

"Do you still have an exception."

That was to Ja. Ja shook his head. He knew that the Emperor could bring up super sacred and hidden shits.

     "Now where is the helmet?"

The Emperor's voice was stern and assertive at that moment.

"In the hut given to me. I'll retrieve it."

Ja Lia's voice was becoming shaky. Things seemed to be slipping off his hand.

Then there were footsteps coming from the gate to the palace. Three guards entered. They were more of Warriors.

They walked to the Emperor and bowed before him,

"There is a strange woman at the shore of the sea. She has the helmet of Jin with her. She threatened to throw it in the water if we come closer. I left few men with her, and came to report."

One of the guards said. He was obviously the leader. His face was long and rough.

"We'll go and retrieve it. If we don't, make us your slaves."

Jim said, standing up. Tzu's mouth was opened. He didn't know what to think.

     "So be it."

   The Emperor said,

"But keep the lady here. They are not made for such."

   He added, referring to Mira.

The four men scrambled around as they bowed and followed the three warriors.

Jim was wearing the determined look, but Ja didn't think that was enough.

Well, they would give it all twould take. But obviously, twouldnt be Lailah.

How could she be. They all saw her melted.
