Task

Between the border of the two kingdoms of Nix and Lightbringer, there was a neutral city there, twice the size of a normal capital city

Wing City, also known as "The Land of Diversity"

It was a free city where merchant of a different kingdom took their HQ of their own business as it was efficient both in information and trade routes.

Demons, Elves, Demi-human could also be seen in this city, mingling with humans and other races.

In this city, a man called, Ryan Strongclad, was the man who built this city and gained its autonomy away from any kingdom political agenda, and of course, a military advantage for neither two kingdoms of Nix and Lightbringer.

Inside the Ryan mansion, Duke Lloyd was currently sitting on the couch opposite of him was the man of many legends, Ryan Strongclad.

He goes with a lot of names, "Lord of the People", "Dragon King Slayer", "The Strongest Man In The World", but the most well-known title of him is, "The Disciple Of The Goddes Aqua", the former Queen of the Lightbringer Kingdom.

As of now, the tension between both parties was quite anxious, or it is was only for Duke Lloyd and with his followers.

With his Queen orders, Lloyd immediately rode his horse with his followers towards Wing City to pass his Queen messages.

Although visiting Wing City wasn't on his task, he still visited the city to negotiate with Ryan for his support when the war broke out.

Duke Lloyd was a capable man even though Fiora didn't explicitly tell him to visit Wing City and persuade Ryan to join their side, Fiora knew that he'll get the idea.

After all, who's an idiot to not gain allies on the impending war. More friends mean more power. It's an obvious tactic in politics, and only a fool wouldn't know it.

"*Gulp*... What's your opinion, Sir Ryan?"

Duke Lloyd asks.

"Your offer is not bad, lil' kid."

"Then-"

"But-" Ryan continued. "A no is a no."

"Let's be real here lil' kid, do you really think even with my help, your kingdom could go against the soaring power of Nix military in these past decades. The answer is, NO!

Now that Leon, my Master child joins their ranks, the conclusion of this pointless and meaningless war is been decided since the start of this whole thing. Now tell me, do you think my niece, Fiora, could defeat or even go against her brother. I'll tell ya' what, the answer is very obvious, it's a big fat, "No"."

"But still-"

"There's no "But", the reality is far away for what you call "Hope" and "Loyalty" for you Queen. Fiora is indeed a very capable woman, I'll admit it, but strategies and deception against enemies wouldn't do much against raw strength. That's the reality kiddo."

Ryan, the one who holds the title of "The Strongest Man In The World", is right.

Leon Lightbringer, his niece was a very strong young man.

At the age of 13, he achieved the fastest practitioner in the whole wide world. He became the youngest human to achieve the power of the beyond twelve-layers-warrior, even against other races.

An accomplishment that no one could achieve, even gods could only grit their teeth because of jealousy.

And now after 400 years, his power was beyond imaginable, a seventeen-layers-mage the can be called close to god domains.

And it's no secret among higher-ups that Leon is the strongest living beings in the whole world right now. Even gods could do nothing against him, except his sister, the Queen of Lightbringer, Queen Fiora.

But the disparity between their power is visible, and the only one who knew about this power gap, is none other than him, Ryan Strongclad

"You should leave now, you have still a task to do for your Queen, am I right? Please guide our guests outside."

Ryan stood up, although his very old now, at the age of 489, his body still exudes vitality like of a middle-aged man's health.

Duke Lloyd could only oblige Ryan's command and left without any words coming from him, his next destination, Nix capital city.

Before Lloyd could exit Ryan's office, he heard the old man say. "I know you're worried about your Queen, but worry not, I know that kid, he'll never harm his family. Hate me or not, I'll believe what I'd say."

...

Now alone in his office, Ryan pour himself a cup of tea and spoke as though there's someone's presence in his surrounding. "How long are you planning to eavesdrop there?"

"Good Morning, Uncle. Looks like you still ready for a new battle."

Then a young man appeared on the couch.

(Here)

"Do you want some tea?"

"No, I'm good."

"Then," Ryan sat on his chair. "What's this all about, Leon?"

"...You don't need to worry bout this, Uncle."

"Heh...? And why would I believe you, my little naive niece?"

"Grrghh... Can you please stop calling me that, Uncle. I'm not a kid anymore."

"Well, I can, cause I'm older than you, hahaha!!" Ryan laughed. "Don't even argue with me that the gap in our age is only 47years! hahaha!'

Leon could only grit his teeth because of annoyance.

"Then back to the question. What were you doing, Leon?"

Ryan asks once again.

Leon didn't reply, and as though deliberating whether to tell Ryan something or not, and he decided to tell the truth.

"I've now had a lead on how to become an "Immortal", Uncle."

"!!?" *Shatter!*

Ryan's eyes widened and his whole body was shaking. He asks. "Are you sure?"

"Mmmh, I'm sure, Uncle. But I can't tell you the details of how I've got this information. All I can say right now is that I'm certain this is the real deal I'm talking about."

As much as Ryan could deny how real his niece spouting about, he cannot decipher if there are delusions on his word or it was a lie, but he can tell he was not joking.

"This is the first time I saw, Leon talking so seriously but yet his voice carried fear and worry."

Ryan said inwardly.

He gazes towards his niece's eyes which the latter did the same.

The contact between their gaze lasted for about 10 seconds before Ryan broke it and sigh; leaning back.

In this world, the gods can be called "Immortal" by many, but they do not know that "Immortal" is a separate entity.

Queen Aqua, his Master, always told him that, "Immortal" is a far superior being compared to gods. And he believes his Master.

That's why, he, the strongest man alive didn't even consider attaining godhood as his master always told him, when he attains godhood, reaching immortality would be out of his reach.

Thus, even though he has the power and time to become a god, he just throws the idea on the back of his head and keeps pushing himself towards immortality.

Unfortunately, for the past hundreds of years, he could not achieve it.

Actually, he already becoming skeptical about the idea of "Immortal", until he saw Leon's and Fiora's unbelievable strength.

Even he, the strongest human alive, could just eat dirt if he dares fight both of his nieces.

Their strength is so outrageous that gods could do nothing but fear this pair of siblings.

That's why the idea of "Immortal" would never leave his mind. As long Leon's and Fiora's power kept reminding him that Gods is nowhere near the level of an Immortals.

According to his master, Queen Aqua, Leon's and Fiora's father is an Immortal, thus explain they're out of this world strength.

Thus he was certain, Immortality is a real thing.

"Hope your right this time, Leon," Ryan spoke.

"...I hope too. If I am right, I can finally grant my mother wish once and for all!"

Leon said it with determination.

After all, that mysterious man's strength is surreal, as it was what like my mother always told me, the power of Immortality!!

...

"Hello, Tanya. Is there something you need for me?"

Licht, who just left the Immortal Federation, is now talking on his phone.

"Of course. I have a task for you, brother."

"Good. Glad to help with your problems, my little sister."

"Oh, you sure will. And this will probably take you a while to solve this problem."

Tanya's last sentence was ambiguous somehow so Licht couldn't help asks why the mysteries. "Ho...? What is it then?"

"You don't need to pry about the details, brother. It's for your own good. Now, remember the last planet you visited, to help humanity there to establish their realm. That's where your mission is."
