The plan

"We shouldn't go down right now, if we do we will only startle the snake. Let's head back" Victon said as he help Esther stack up the bricks turning it back into a normal looking wall.

They walked back to the old house when Esther heard Victon said, "Esther will you come with me to invade the auction? You know the layout of the secret passage more than I do."

Esther paused as he thought about it. These two guys have been helping him and the siblings out so much... they even came back with expensive pastries and clothing as promised. Now they're even agreeing to shut down those disgusting slave auctions like he had requested... "I will come with you" Esther answered with determination.

"Hm" Victon nodded. "Since it's on Friday this week, we don't have much time. Just wait here in the old house and I will pick you up after I station my troops."

The two walked into the house seeing the kids all sleeping as Megan cleaned up the house. "You're back! That was quicker than expected" Megan said.

"It's almost midnight now, we should go" Victon said.

"Alright, good night guys" Megan waved to Esther and Nathan. "I will come back tomorrow with some more bread and fruits."

Megan and Victon then took off. She held onto his hands as it gave her reassurance.

"The slave auction is on Friday. I will get my troops and station them surrounding the area to capture anyone who tries to escape" Victon informed her as he held onto her hands tighter.

"Those inhumane bastards! Marigold would've been sold if it wasn't for Esther being brave and rescued the poor girl" Megan said angrily.

"Don't worry, I will rescue the people being held captive in there. And those who are involved... will not get a light sentence either."

"Soooo what's my role on Friday?" Megan asked.

"Nothing. Just go to the old house and watch the kids. It's possible for the escapees to search for shelter come to the old house and hold the kids as hostages" Victon reasoned.

"Alright, but if you need me to do anything like being a bait then let me know" Megan said.

Victon gave a slight 'Hm' then they continued their walk in comfortable silence. The two arrived at the backyard of the bakery and Megan waved Victon a good bye.

"Where's my good night kiss?" Victon asked mischievously.

"What? I don't know what you're talking about" Megan feigning ignorance. She then tip toed to give him a kiss on the cheek, leaving with a giggle.

Victon gave a low chuckle in satisfaction. He waved good night, then left to his home.

During breakfast the next morning, Victon informed his father about the slave auction being held in two days time. He planned to surround the premises with knights before charging in and invading the auction.

The Dukedom have their own army and troops of knights as the Duke is defending and protecting this kingdom, standing beside the royal family. Obviously the castle has more knights defending it than the Dukedom, but it didn't mean the Dukedom lacks in the number of knights.

Behind the Yvonne mansion just a few yards away from the humongous garden, was a huge training field for the army of knights. Victon walked over to see some knights running the field, some were sparing, some were taking breaks. He walked over to the middle age man who was the Head Knight of the Duke's army, Hugh Lawrence.

The Head Knight saw Victon coming over and saluted, "Young master! What makes you come to the training grounds?"

"Hm, I have a mission on Friday which I have to discuss with you" Victon said as he sat on one of the benches. The two sat there as Victon described the situation and how they were going to invade the auction with the knights.

"We will move out on Friday when the sun sets" Victon ordered as he stood up. "Do as I instructed."

"Yes, Young Master" the Head Knight bowed as Victon left.

Before they arrive at the old house at the usual time, Megan and Victon stopped by the market to get sets of clothing for the kids and some fruits. Megan bought 12 sets of clothing for now and intended to buy the rest next time, but Victon bought all 24 sets in one go.

Not complaining Megan said, "well if you insist, then thank you!"

The two arrived at the old house with two baskets of bread, fruits and many pants, shirts and dresses. The kids were overwhelmed with joy when they saw the things Megan and Victon had brought for them.

"Thank you!" Rufus said as he picked an apple to eat.

"No problem" Megan smiled. "Esther and Nathan! Here are your two sets of clothing. Since you guys are taller, we bought the longer pants and shirts for you."

Nathan accepted the two white shirts and pants with grateful thank you. Esther did the same, just a bit more shyly. He had misjudged Megan before so now he decided to be would be nicer to her because she's giving the kids new clothes and food to eat.

Megan distribute the sets of clothes then started to clean the house bit by bit. She thought about buying the kids some shoes and blankets as winter was near.

Victon and Megan left the old house after cleaning up a bit more, then left.
