Episode 130: HANAYO'S THOUGHTS

The young nature deity would look at Silas from time to time. He was still a bit curious. He sees Silas lose focus for a moment whenever a sakura petal would fall because of the wind, as if he remembers something significant in his life.

That made Hanayo theorize that his lover must be in Japan. (Very wrong though)

He sighed. Frustrated that he was not trusted enough to know who she really is.

Was she tall? Kind to animals? What was her voice like? Why did Silas not want to tell him? Is Silas jealous he wants to know her?

Many questions filled his mind and he feels more and more irritated knowing that Silas won't probably pay mind to his curiosity.

As Silas talk to the jinx army with all seriousness, Hanayo, one of the flower deities was just watching them from one of the sakura's branches. With his two snakes beside him, equally curious as of what their master was thinking.

HANAYO: I feel like there's something more to him...

He whispered, although Crysa and Flora heard him clear and loud enough.

FLORA: Oh, my...what could be your thoughts my beautiful master?

CRYSA: Do you think he's a traitor? Do not worry, I will bite him in his sleep.

HANAYO: What? Ah, no...I was just curious about him. That's all. I mean...it seems like he really needs some love.

CRYSA: Are you planning to find him someone?

HANAYO: Yes! I mean...poor him, I feel bad he lost an eye and a girl. I'm planning to give him both. So what do you say we convince a beautiful jinx to flirt with him?

FLORA: Wonderful, Master! I will help you with all I can!

Flora said in a sing-songy voice, cheering for Hanayo's plan. She genuinely thought it was good, but Crysa heavily disapproved.

CRYSA: Master, you are overthinking this. He wanted his oh so powerful eyes back. He even arranged this army for that stupid eye. He doesn't have time for a mate.

HANAYO: Love either makes you peaceful or crazy, my Crysa...don't you feel bad for him? He's so heartbroken he's willing to fight reapers to get it.

CRYSA: Master, don't be too gullible. He might be hiding his true intentions. We must not act too nice to him. Let us be professional. We must do only what is asked of us. As simple as that. Don't get yourself into trouble, you don't even know the female jinxies fully.

HANAYO: Oh, come on! I sleep all winter and I miss befriending people! Please let me do this, if you don't want to help, it's okay. Me and Flora can manage.

CRYSA: But master...

FLORA: Be supportive of him, Crysa. We exist to lend him help every time.

CRYSA: AND to keep him safe all the time. You know we raised him since he was a child. Our Lady goddess Konohana Sakuya-Hime will be very upset when she finds out that Hanayo is in trouble. What if the jinxes are not as friendly?

FLORA: Oh, please, he's a son of a literal goddess.

CRYSA: Only humans decided she's a god, Flora. Even THEY, can perish and die. She was still created by Someone far greater and superior than her. I do not want Hanayo to even feel the slightest of pain.

HANAYO: You do know I'm a hundred years old now. I can't even remember how old I am. You should stop babying me. It kinda hurts.

CRYSA: You are still in our care until you get married and have your own family.

HANAYO: Hmmm...but how are any nature spirit going to think of me as cool and amazing if mere words of you stops me?

CRYSA: I do this for you, my love. You are like our own child.

FLORA: Yeah, but...loosen up a bit Crysa.

Crysa sighs heavily, pondering their reasoning she considers as poor. However, when she looks at Hanayo's pink bright eyes, she could not help but give in, knowing helping people makes the lad happy.

CRYSA: Fine but-

HANAYO: Ah, thank you, Crysa!

Hanayo's sudden movement and attempt to reach the still snake Crysa made the branch suddenly break.

Even a deity can fall, so it seems.

It would have been very painful if not for Jamaica, a jinx, who flew just in time to save him.

Like Jinko, she have white wings. Although her looks were more friendlier than Jinko.

Her smile caused him to blush almost immediately.

Her peach colored eyes match well with her pale blonde hair. She looks more beautiful than any spirit she have seen.

And he felt instantly guilty since he now attempts to find himself a girl than find Silas one.

Flora laughs while Crysa was simply amazed.

JAMAICA: Are you alright?

HANAYO: Yeah!

She smiles at him flirtatiously as she goes puts him down to the ground, where Hanayo sees Silas hold the big piece of branch that just fell.

Oh no. Did he hit him?

He turned red even more.

HANAYO: I'm so sorry!

SILAS: *sigh* Do you always have to sit on trees, great deity Hanayo?

HANAYO: I...I always sit on trees. I don't feel comfortable sitting in dirt.

SILAS: Well, someone fetch him a big rock to sit on. I do not want to lose my head while talking to you guys. Good thing the branch was slow enough for me to catch.

Jamaica giggles as Hanayo was still deeply embarrassed.

JAMAICA: You actually need to stop blushing like crazy.

HANAYO: I...I cannot help it! Who wouldn't feel ashamed after falling off like that?

JAMAICA: It's all good now, though. But I think the way you fell was funny. Hahah!

HANAYO: I really didn't expect it to break.

JAMAICA: Yea, but you could have at least known better. Aren't you supposed to be a god? Man, if you are then you're probably the silliest god.

She proceeded to laugh, and Hanayo felt more mortified.

HANAYO: Hey, cut it out! I'm feeling bad already!

JAMAICA: Although, I must admit...you'd probably be the cutest god there is. Damn, if Aphrodite was real, she'd probably curse you out of jealousy.

HANAYO: But I'm a boy.

JAMAICA: Ah yea, I almost forgot, then she'd probably...probably sleep with you or something hahah!

HANAYO: How can you say such things? And laugh it off?

JAMAICA: Take it as a compliment, flower boy.

HANAYO: Hey! No one should call me that!

JAMAICA: But I just did.

She giggled once again and flies back to her position, waving him a flirty bye before she proceeded to listen to what Silas have to say.

A male jinx taps his shoulder and he flinches, only to realize it was the jinx Silas asked of, to bring him a huge stone to sit on.

He bows in gratitude and sat. Flora and Crysa watching him from above.

FLORA: I think whoever she is...she'd make a perfect gal for him.

CRYSA: She saved him from falling, Flora. That's literally it.

FLORA: Don't be bitter, Crysa. This might be IT! Also, I really think she looks attractive. Worthy of our pretty boy.

HANAYO: I can hear you both, you know.

FLORA: Great, then! Ask her out later!

Silas sighs. Then looks at them with a serious face.

SILAS: Think of flirting later. We are supposed to take this seriously.

HANAYO: *smacks face* (How many times should I be embarrassed today?)

...

When all was over, and the jinx Jamaica retires from training, she spent time looking up trees to see where the deity would perch unto.

She finds it easy, as his yukata was white and failed to mix with the pink petals.

JAMAICA: Hey! What's up!

Hanayo automatically felt insecured and decided to climb higher.

Jamaica laughs and uses her wings to find him.

Even Crysa and Flora are both frustrated that Hanayo was being shy when it's apparent the woman is interested.

JAMAICA: The wussiest god there is, too. Hahhaha!

HANAYO: Did you only come here to embarrass me further?

Hanayo asked, cheeks still tinged in red.

Her face changed expression. She felt sorry. Surely he must have been really embarrassed to say those words. She immediately apologized.

JAMAICA: Look, sorry, okay? I shouldn't have said that.

Flora shrieked in happiness witnessing the event and even transformed back to her humanoid form just to hug Crysa, who then turned into her original form as well to avoid being squished by her.

FLORA: IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!!!

CRYSA: Augh, stop yelling.

Hanayo soon realizes that he's still being watched and so he immediately climbs higher the tree.

JAMAICA: I...don't think there's enough branches to help you up, flower boy.

HANAYO: I told you to stop calling me that!

JAMAICA: What should I call you then?

HANAYO: Just Hanayo.

JAMAICA: Okay, Hanayo then. Wait, what does Hanayo means?

HANAYO: Flowers.

JAMAICA: Ahhhh, so cute! So flower boy fits too.

HANAYO: I said just Hanayo!!!

CRYSA: Can't even take a hint.

FLORA: Oh, come on, don't be so negative, Crysa. She'd get it.

Hanayo, pissed, continued to climb higher, until the deity ran out of sturdy branches to climb unto, and like you guessed, the one he grabbed snapped.

And Jamaica again caught the deity from falling, although while in her arms once more, Hanayo gets a closer look at her features, making him blush and quite possibly, fall in love with her.

JAMAICA: Hey, why are you covering your face like that?

Hanayo did, because she'd probably freak out when she sees his undeniable smile of admiration.

He secretly hoped all branches would break if it meant being saved by her all the time.
