Chapter 15

While I think about killing Dai, Mei moves. Standing in front of him with a gun in hand she coldly smiles. "Stop smiling and tell me what's wrong with your head." Dai, in response just shrugs and smiles.

"You. You're obsession with revenge. Your identity as a planetary puritan." He said with squinted eyes. Mei gets ready to fire. Her dull face staying still as she presses the barrel against his forehead.

"Bad move." Suddenly Dai grabs the barrel of the gun and pushes it to his left. Mei, clearly shocked doesn't strengthen her body. Before she can do anything Dai strengthens his fingers and jabs into genitals, pulling at the inside and tearing a large chunk of flesh out.

Ling'er gets ready to fire. With a click a beam goes towards Dai. Before it can reach him, He moves his upper body and tosses Mei at Ling'er, making sure to snatch her gun.

Mei slams into Ling'er, screaming and crying as blood gushes from her genitals. At this moment I collect mind. I immediately strengthen my legs and leap to Dai, preparing to snap his neck.

He looks at me and smiles before crouching and shooting at my leg. He misses but so do I, instead ramming myself into the wall. Before I can do anything I hear two crisp clicks.

Suddenly, things go quite. Mei's screams of pain are gone. Ling'er's sobbing is gone. All that's left is two corpses with holes in their forehead along with me and Dai. He drops the gun and walks to me.

"Okay, you can kill me now." He said with the same smile. I have to kill him. I immediately stand up and grab his throat with my left hand. As I'm preparing a condensed mana bomb in my right hand I hear the system.

Silence.

Hey system?

Silence.

...

With my stomach churning and my eyes burning I say. "You can live. They were killed by an ally god for plotting against me." God...shit I fell so gross. I'll kill him as soon as he stops being worthwhile. Even after I let go of Dai he just sits there with expectant eyes.

"Does this mean I can kill the rest?" He said coldly. In response I slap him. He still doesn't care. Suddenly, he looks up at me with squinted eyes.

"Hey leader did you know that Raigons who associate with humans get tossed easy by their parents? The human will likely be killed too. Did you know that people like Mei are the reason this happens?"

Of course I know. I just don't care. Before this I had to take care of myself, and sticking with the masses is a good way to stay safe. I don't think this treatment is fair. Honestly people who do as Dai said deserve to Die. Unfortunately, I'd rather protect my life instead of another's.

"You do? That's good. Hey leader, do you want to hear a story?" He said finally dropping the smile.

"Go ahead." I say in response.

"Once upon a time there was a little Raigon boy.

Born into a poor family his future was limited.

His father drinking often.

His mother buying hundreds of dolls.

For three years the boy felt nothing but fear, anger, and sadness.

Then he met a human man.

The human was rather ugly by their standards.

His belly was bulging and his black hair was dirty.

When the boy was begging in the market the human gifted him a jacket and food.

The boy loved that thick blue jacket."

"He had never been happier.

He ate well that day finding warmth in the cold snow.

Then he went home.

His parents saw the jacket and immediately burned it.

How dare you wear a human jacket!

Why would you accept something a human touched!

You should've starved!"

"They both beat him for the whole night.

Locking him in a small closet since his home only had one medium sized bedroom.

The boy was scared.

I'll never meet a human again he thought.

At least until a week later.

That same human saw his bruises and withered stomach.

He immediately took the boy to the police after buying him soup and bread.

When they got to the police they beat the human."

"Kidnapper!

Horn Thief!

Go back home!

The police tried to take the boy but he just ran.

He was scared.

The human is so nice why would the police beat him?

Aren't police supposed to help the good guys?

Why?

Why?

Why?"

"The boy was soon found again by the same human.

The human, covered in bruises soothed the child.

Everything will be fine.

I'm okay.

I promise nobody will hurt you.

Suddenly, the boy screamed 'I don't want to go home!"

"In response the human said.

Would you like to come with me.

And so the hideous human offered his hand.

That day the boy became part of a true family.

Even when finding out the human killed other Raigons for money the boy still loved him.

Because beyond that cold and ugly exterior was a man that would do anything to protect his family.

And so the Raigon boy and The Human lived happily ever after.

The end."

He looks at me with expectant eyes. I just clap in response. "I don't care about your childhood. Just obey my every order and you can keep living." Dai does nothing in response. Suddenly, he begins to hesitate. After a few seconds he sighs and speaks.

"Umm. Can we watch human shows every now and then. Just you and me." He said with his head down. He begins to shiver, a slight whimper escaping lips every now and then. It shouldn't be too much trouble to take a break every now and then.

"Sure. Just make sure to listen to me. Also your studies are restricted for now." Suddenly, his head goes up. His eyes go dull and his smile straightens. Chills fill my body as he stares at me.

"Are you doing this because I killed those trash? You're calm so you shouldn't care. Why did you say yes?" Dai said calmly. I just stare at him for a few seconds. As his body begins to stiffen I answer.

"Because I don't care what I do during my breaks. Watching human shows and playing card games are about the same to me." I said with a slight smile.

Dai smiles in response. His eyes shining a joy filled light. He immediately stands up, tossing the gun aside. "So when can we start?!" He said excitedly.

"How about after this mess is settled." I say while pinching the bridge of my nose. Dai in response grabs the gun and shoots the side of his hip. He falls forward and lightly grips the wound. "Fuck that stings."

All I can say in response is, what in the ever loving fuck is wrong with you. Before I can do anything Dai stands up and grabs both bodies by the head. "Come on leader." He says standing in front of the pilot door.

Ignoring him I walk outside, the two guards panicking as soon as they see the corpses. They immediately point their guns at Dai and me. Before I can say anything Dai begins talking about the ally god.

"These two were being controlled. They had to die. Like the horse snake creature that ate our home." Dai looks at the guards with a hint of joy in his eyes. Suddenly they begin to wildly scream, wide smiles covering their faces.

Both of them fall over, blood pouring from their ears. They continue to madly scream for several seconds before fainting for a few seconds. The moment they wake up they look at me with fear in their eyes.

"Remember. I'm the only thing keeping you alive right now." I say after patting their shoulders. I wonder why Aloe saved them. Eh, that doesn't matter much at the moment. "Take the corpses and go get everyone. Talk about the thing that destroyed our home."

Seeing by blank expression they begin to shiver. Immediately, they begin to run. For five minutes me and Dai enjoy some peace. Then everyone gathers. Their eyes are looking at me with curiosity and fear.

"So you probably remember the home destroyer now. These two were controlled by it and tried to destroy the ship. Now their dead. You all were being influenced too. You should've died the moment you remembered but because of my friend you lived. Obey me and you will live. That simple. Now go cut more trees. Make sure to take a break every now and then." I said calmly.

Everyone immediately runs outside. Dai looks at me curiously. "Come on. Put on that human thing. Just make sure to keep it under an hour." Dai immediately jumps for joy the moment he hears my response.

He grabs my wrist and drags me back to the pilots room. "What genre do you prefer! Action, comedy, horror, drama, or romance?" I just tell him to put on whatever. After giving me rations to munch on he puts on something called 'S*pernatural' He says it's about a pair of brothers who travel to find their father while killing monsters.

The episode last a little over fifty minutes. Honestly it was okay. The brothers relationship is interesting. I want to know how deans father complex will effect his relationship with Sam. The white lady is also a novel idea. The only issue is the special effect are garbage.

Dai see's my awkward expression and looks down.

"I know the species effect are bad. The show is actually super old. The humans re-made it with updated effects but it lacks the charm of the original. Kinda like with St*r Wars. We shouldn't be able to see it but since humans ran out of creative ventures and began documenting the respective peaks and minor details of their society centuries old shows like this are preserved. Unrelated but I think it's an interesting fact."

I just look at Dai without batting an eye. Sighing I point to his wound. "Treat that and nap. I'm going back to work so leave me alone." Dai just smiles in response
