"Why are you crying?"

I don't know how could such energy gather in me. I really rushed to the hospital and stepped in front of the reception corner of Central City Hospital. I found the lobby was full with patients and people with them everywhere. I was heavily panting while hardly could pronounce -

"MISS…. NADIA….. Nadia Masefield… My daughter ..

"Okay, okay ma'am, please calm down, you look completely exhausted…"- the beautiful looking young girl in the counter wanted to show me a sign of hope, I mean, in the midst of utter despair I thought it that way, and I asked her in a nervous tone.

"Oh, dear. I'm fine, now, please tell me, is my daughter okay? I need to know about her…" In desperate situation like that, I was almost about to cry and break down, and probably the girl could sense that, she came out from the counter and helped me to sit on a chair in front and told -

"Your daughter's absolutely fine. She just got a little scratch on her arm and that's all." In the mean time a staff had brought me a glass of water and the receptionist girl insisted me to take that and continued, "the man who saved her had ultimately cracked his right elbow. He has also been admitted here and one of our nurses has intimated you with an inappropriate info."- Finally listening to this news a breathe of relief resulted in me and I carried the glass of water from the man and drank over with an ultimate satisfaction.

"When will I get to see my daughter?"- I asked the reception girl.

"Within a moment, ma'am."

"Masefile's form is here."- I saw a middle aged woman with a form in her hand has arrived in front of me and put forward the form for a scrutiny and a signature. The wrongly pronounced surname however was correctly written over and I corrected her while took away the to have a look over it

"It's Masefield, madam, Nadia Masefield."- I stood up while taking out my purse.

"How much do I have to pay?"- I enquired to the accountant lady and she asked me to follow to her desk.

I walked down towards the accounts section while the lady brought out another piece of paper and asked me whether I have any insurance covering the road accidents. "Yes, of course, but, I'm sorry, can't really show you anything right now, you please tell me the amount, I just rushed out of my office." The woman looked up from typing something on the computer and said,

"The gentleman had already paid up the money, ma'am, it was an amount about 235 dollars."

'Whoa! A man has paid the hospital expenses for a kid, whom he doesn't even know? Great! He perhaps would be a wealthy person or just being kind hearted one as well, or is he someone I know?"

"Well, come on ma'am, you can meet your daughter now."- the words distracted me from the particular thought and I stood up straight in height of curiosity.

"Please follow me, ma'am."- another young girl had led me through the lobby and then to the elevator corner. A few more people were gathered in this area, eight elevators were constant in operation lifting patients doctors, stuffs and nurses all day round in this hospital, one of the top five most in the city. We reached seventh floor, and came out of the lift. I followed the girl down a long corridor full of rooms on both sides of that and at the end of the corridor, there was a big door, on top of which its written, the Pediatric Division . We entered a big hall and at one corner I found there are few cabins.

"Wait here."- addressed the young girl and pointed me to some chairs in front of those cabins. I didn't sit down although, while the girl went inside one of the cabin.

The time passed after the nurse went in the room. There were no responses from the room after that.

"MOM!"- I heard Nadia's calling behind me and I turned back to look at her. She stood there with the nurse, a bandage wrapped around her head and on the right wrist while she was having a bite from a chocolate bar that she was carrying in her left hand. The usual smile on her those tiny lips released all my agonies and as she came running to my arms I couldn't hold my tears and ask her simultaneously, "Oh, my poor baby boon, where have you been hurt?" I kept on hugging her tightly and she too embraced me with her little hands, saying,

"I am fine mom, why are you crying?"

"Why am I crying? Because, I was afraid dear. I heard that my little darling fell on an accident and I couldn't have peace in mind until I see you here baby. Now, tell me, are you alright dear, and what, I mean how did it all happen?"
