"Good morning, Ms. Estradez."
I greeted her when she entered Mr. Jordan's office with so much confidence. She looked at me thoroughly as if she saw a ghost or blurred image.
"Cyleen Jaranilla? Is that really you?" She said and take off her sunglasses.
"Ahm, yeah. No other than."
I said awkwardly.
"And you're working on my fiance's company?"
She said and gave emphasis on a word fiance. Oh, okay. Now they are engaged. Good for them, then. I don't need to worry about my feelings anymore.
"Sort of. I'm a— I'm Mr. Jordan's P.A." I said.
"What a coincidence! Where is he?"
She asked. Why she looked pissed though? Or I'm just imagining things?
"He's already there. He said you can go there once you arrived."
I said uncomfortably.
"Hmm. He can't wait to be with me there, is he? Well, it's nice to see you again, Ms. Jaranilla."
She said and gave me a fake smile.
"Same here, Ms. Estardez."
I smiled genuinely.
"And congrats with your engagement."
I said and looked at her engagement ring. She didn't bother to respond and quickly walked where the private room is instead. That was a little bit rude, I guess?
I continued photocopying those documents without thinking about what they're possibly doing inside that room.
Don't think about it, Cyleen. Don't you dare think about it!
I said to myself. I don't know why I'am bothered though. I saw lot of women coming in and out on that private room but I don't care at all. But now that it's Sammy Estradez, it felt different.
And to think that they're already engaged wasn't my concern anymore! I'm not jealous, okay. I'm just— I don't know. I don't know what I'm supposed to feel knowing that they're gonna end up together. I'm not against with it.
Sammy is beautiful and I know that she really likes him since the very beginning. No filter. Just purely love I think. But I don't know Mr. Jordan's side.
Maybe I'm just concerned with Sammy. Knowing that they're already engaged and yet up to yesterday, Mr. Jordan was with other woman, and that's so disturbing.
I know I don't have any rights to meddle on their relationship coz that's personal matters between the two of them, but I'm against with it if I know that someone was cheating on and I hated Mr. Jordan for not being loyal and a cheater.
It looks like he's wasn't serious about them and there's a possibility that he's just playing with her feelings. I hated that. I hated him more.
Is it his habbit to toyed someone's feelings? That's annoying! Being a multi- billionaire who can do whatever he wanted and pleased doesn't mean that he can toyed with someone's feelings and emotions. It wasn't right.
I'm so affected coz I've been there. He already do that with me before. He makes me feel like I'm extra special. That he likes me. He gave me hopes that the feeling is mutual. Then at the end of the day, he's just going to dumped me.
I don't want that to happen again with someone else. Either it's with Sammy or other woman. I'm a woman too. And I know how it feels to be toyed. To be played on. And it hurts. It fucking hurts!
I exhaled sharply as I continued to photocopied those documents. My mind was in a messed right now. I'm battling about telling Sammy what I knew or just ignored and don't meddle in any way.
I know we're not that close ever since but it's not enough reason to let her get hurt knowing that I can do something about the situation.
I'm so confused. I don't know what to do.
"Shut up! You don't know what you're talking about!"
Then all of a sudden,I heard Mr. Jordan and Sammy's arguments inside that private room. I thought that room was sound proof coz I can't hear anything coming there before. Not until now.
"Oh, really? Is that the reason why she's here? You're keeping her here because you can't get over with her! Admit it, you fucking liar!"
"Get out! Get out in this room this instant before I forgot that you're still a woman!"
I don't know what got into me when I heard that. I quickly get out of Mr. Jordan's office and find Lexy. Since it's already lunch time, I still have the rights to eat at peace, right? Even just for today.
I taked the elevator and press the fifth floor. Once it opened, I stormed inside the budget department where Lexy is assigned.
"Beshy! You're here! What a miracle."
Lexy exclaimed.
"Lunch?"
I said drily. I felt so drained right now.
"Sure. You're treat?"
She said.
"My treat. Lets go."
I said.
We walked together at the cafeteria. We ordered the usual lunch we ate and started eating.
"Is there a problem out there?" Lexy asked.
"The usual."
I said. I felt so tired about it.
"What did he do this time?"
She asked again.
"Nothing much." I responded.
"Be honest. I know you." She said.
I sighed.
"You remember Sammy Estradez?"
I asked. She nodded and asked me what about her.
"She's one of Mr. Jordan's women and guess what. She's with him right now and it looks like— ahm they're having an arguments about something I don't know."
I said.
"Oh my gosh! Are they together?" She asked.
"That's what Sammy said a while ago. I think they're engaged. She had an engagement ring and she addressed him as her fiance."
I said.
"Really? And you believe her? Are you jealous?" She teased.
"Of course! I mean— of course I believed her. And no, I'm not jealous. I already told you, I'm over him now. I already moved on. I'm just bothered about the possibility that Mr. Jordan was cheating on her and I felt so sorry coz I know about it."
I explained.
"Well, for me I don't believed that woman. I mean, about their engagement. You know her. She used to making up stories. And you really think that Mr. Jordan will get engaged without even knowing by the whole country? Think about it."
She said.
"If they're not engaged for real, then why they are having an arguments about other woman? Based on what I heard, Sammy finds out that Mr. Jordan was keeping a woman on his office. And it's true coz he's really with different woman inside that private room everyday!"
I reasoned out.
"That's not our concern anymore, Cyleen. That's they're problem, not ours. Don't mind them. You're already stressed out on your worked. That's enough."
She said.
"I just can't helped it. It feels like I'm conniving with Mr. Jordan for keeping his dark secrets."
I said.
"Let's just eat. I don't want to hear from Mr. Jordan and his whereabouts anymore." Lexy said.
We continued eating. I'm not even finished my food when my phone vibrated. It's Mr. Jordan— again.
"Where the hell are you, Ms. Jaranilla?"
My eardrums almost exploded when I heard his annoying voice the moment I answered his call.
"At the cafeteria, having lunch sir."
I said calmly.
"With whom?" He asked.
"With Lexy, sir." I said.
What the hell is his problem!? Can't I eat in peace? It's still lunch break. Let me be in peace even for a while!
"Finished your food, go home and pack your things. We're having an out of town business trip."
He said and ended the call.
Gosh! What I'm going to do with that man!
