Chapter 63: DON'T SLEEP

Asmodeus wondered why he heard Sellena talking,

So he opened the door without even knocking,

And what he saw sure felt confusing,

As again, there the bird was, softly humming.

"That's weird, why is the bird always there?"

"This one is still little, maybe it missed its mother's care,"

"I loathe birds, now can you throw it out the window?"

Sellena picked the bird protectively, as she then rose a brow.

"I want a pet, and this one doesn't take much space,"

"But it's noisy, and you don't know where it'd throw its waste,"

"Please, Asmo, I want this little bird,"

"I don't think my words, you clearly heard,"

Asmodeus wasn't as gentle anymore,

His eyes were full of hate, and a frown he clearly wore,

His distaste for feathered creatures was unclear to Sellena,

However she wanted the angel, so she stood her ground and caused further dillema.

His aura was similar to when she first met him,

Deep, dark, full of poison, and clear envy,

But when she looked at him sadly, his heart suddenly calms,

And rather than speaking knives, he initially calmed down.

"Sellena, my wife, don't you think it's unfair how you treat me every night?

You only ask for things, and if I don't give it to you, you start a fight,

I am trying my best to be patient, and put my self into your shoes,

But this simple request of mine, I hope you give, than abuse,"

Sellena knew he was too kind for a demon,

One trait which is not very common,

But the little bird is her only hope for safety,

And she was mean to him, so she won't be seen as weakly.

Besides, it's not like she's not aware of him STILL sleeping around,

Even if he denied being a husband to other demons, he still knocks them sound,

Sellena knew the moment she submits, Asmodeus would dominate her with ease,

So she tried her best to control the situation, for a demon, even like him, she wouldn't dare please.

She tried to use her charm, and leaned towards her husband,

Who clearly looked flustered, as she gently touched his face with her hands,

Lluming watched nervously, praying that she succeeds,

Even though she used her lips, to commit the fatal deed.

Asmodeus closed his eyes, as he tried to deepen the kiss,

As Sellena's wrists were tightly held, not wanting for release,

Asmodeus then held her hips, and pulled her closer to him,

But Sellena pulled her face out, and tried to quickly breathe in.

"Fine, you get to keep it, but this is the last time you can keep something,"

"Thanks, I knew you can't resist your darling,"

"Only because it's the first time you initiated this,

But next time, I won't allow JUST a tease,"

Sellena smiles, hiding her pain,

Knowing Asmodeus, a longer kiss has gained,

The demon hugged her, as Sellena frowned,

But good thing her plan worked, this time around.

The demon then ordered the finest cages,

As the lower ranked demons, fought for arranges,

The time he arrived, Sellena wore the brightest smile,

He may not have touched her the way he wanted to, yet,

But for some odd reason, he felt satisfied.

...

Ken cut his hair unto its former length,

It felt a relief, knowing where it went,

He smiles at the mirror, then prayed for further strength,

As he stretches his arms yet again, doing push-ups and a bit of bends.

His frail body, still lacked defined muscles,

He was very exhausted, but simpy denied rest,

He heard everyone, from young to the eldest,

Wondering if he, would halt Lucifer's evil quest.

Even if half of him doubts his capabilities,

Even fearing for his own life, for there is no certainty,

Maybe he'd die, and maybe he'd live till seventy,

But he has no choice to try, though change could be as barely.

That night he dreamed again,

Of the woman whose hand glowed as his,

She was weeping,

And her pain was hard to miss.

There was a certain darkness, looming over her,

And by every second, it tightens, like a stomach in hunger.

There was a crown, laid on her head,

And several bodies, gathered to her all dead,

There were seven demons, on her back with smug smiles,

That it grew quite creepy to look at, even for a while.

Ken quickly woke up, sweating yet again,

As he gasps for air, while praying he'd still be sane,

He looked at the sleeping bodies, gathered around him peacefully,

And heard the thousand crickets, all humming quite softly.

He calmed down after a while, although he's still in shock,

Those demons looked ferocious, it was an undeniable fact,

And that image made him feel cowardly, even with the angels at his back,

Can he really fight for them? When formidable courage, he clearly lacks.

He tried to pray, but couldn't quite concentrate,

After all, his heart was pumping in a surprising rate,

He felt pressured, and more so sorry for them all,

After all, he's not as great as one could call.

Well aware and awake that night,

He swore he smelled something like fire,

He felt nervous, as he don't know if it's real,

Was he still dreaming? Or was it the true deal?

Already panicking, he looks at the window,

Where he saw a black figure, with an entrancing glow,

Soon Uriel opens the door, where Ken and the others are sleeping,

"A witch led a group on our base, hurry out, or you'd all be dying,"

The witch laughed and her spells caused them to feel sleepy,

Even the angels strived to fight, after all they feel quite dizzy,

Uriel, not wanting defeat, pulled as many as he could outside,

But others who were left, had no choice but to die.

Some angels even failed to stay awake,

From going back and forth to the mansion, for human's sake,

But even with all their efforts for them to escape,

Only half of them, they were able to take.

Ken fought his sleepiness, although it was like a drug,

His steps were unsteady, and his body felt floating above,

His hand was gripped tightly, by Uriel who tried his best,

Although his focus, was becoming less and less.

His vision started to blur,

And hallucinations started to occur,

The angel dropped to his knees,

As the humans cried with grief.

Now that the moon is full,

The witches were able to rule,

The angels quite deprived of a clear advantage,

Takes this battle, to a whole new challenge.
