Chapter 65: AN ANGEL'S SACRIFICE

Michael called the archangels to a private room,

All were but silent, faces showing gloom,

"We lost a lot yesterday, and it's not even the hell's full force,

I'm sure you're all tired," and they replied in unison, a heavy, "Of course,"

Michael knew there's no way to win,

If they keep being on the defensive,

"Maybe others would consider it a sin,

But we can't win by being passive,

God may have allowed it for some other purpose,

But for now, we must do all we can, to do OUR purpose,

Save and protect,

Love, not neglect,

Even if it costs...our own,"

"Our own?"

Gabriel asked, furrowing his brows,

"Yes, we must do it, I am aware that you know,

Tomorrow, we must give a sacrifice that will trick them into thinking he's the Seer,

So the demons will let their guard down, give us more time, and we'll attack their rears,"

"Who among the few angels allowed to fight then?

Don't tell me we'll ask for more in heaven,

We must maintain balance, for without it all good will tremble,

Can't we have more patience? Rather than do this things that may cause us to crumble?"

Barachiel said, afraid that the decisions would hurt them more,

But Michael only looked at him, determination he still bravely wore.

Jegudiel sighed, but he knew Michael was right,

Without a little sacrifice, they're not trying their very might,

"God sacrificed a lot for humans, and He created us to watch over His most beloved creations,

So what's hindering us from showing Him our own dedication?

He sent us here not to think of our own benefit,

Not to wait for time, not to simply sit,

We are of light, of heaven, not for defeat,

If there's no other way, then let's all go to it,"

All kept quiet, then simply agreed,

Even if, it's a heavy bid,

Ciana was then talked out,

To play the little mouse,

And still loyal to the heavens,

He agreed and bowed to the seven.

He gave his last salute to all his friends,

Knowing for sure, that so near is his end,

He didn't sleep that night, and only prayed,

So God could give him strength, and their plan not delayed.

...

Lluming searched the corridors,

And saw a bunch of hidden horrors,

Witches playing with human eyes,

As other munch on them like grains of rice.

Other toy some women they like,

As others eat some children alive,

He wanted so bad, to interfere,

But afraid he'd lose more, of those so dear.

He must do it, he reminded himself,

for Eleazar and the rest of humanity,

That even if it costs him his very conscience,

He must continue on, though it felt heavy on his chest.

How horrific were the demons,

That he can't believe they were once angels,

They smell of blood, of dirt and sweat,

As others have faces, that would cause you fret.

He hurried to search and search,

For clues that would help them out,

He switches from animals, to demons, to fly,

Hoping that there's something more, than meets the eye.

But his steps stopped, when he heard screaming,

A human tortured, his eyes enlarging,

The witch laughed, as Lucifer watched,

They were very entertained, as Lluming was touched.

It seems like it was, fresh catch,

Since he looks cleaner, than their former batch.

They kept slicing his body,

And laughing along,

Asking questions both wrong and silly,

As others taunt him, while singing a song.

The human cried out, and gritted his teeth,

And after that moment, Lluming had his defeat,

He would have attacked, it not for a familiar hand,

He looked quickly, and he froze to where he stand.

Even if both in disguise, they recognized each other's eyes immediately,

Ciana smiled, and leads him further from the scene of agony,

Ciana then went out, telling him that he must fulfill his mission,

As he will with his own, although it would be his last completion.

Lluming cannot understand him, and quickly told him to explain,

But Ciana knew if he did, it will only add him pain,

So he simply waves goodbye, as he closes the door in Sellena's room,

The little bird-Lluming, was then covered by darkness soon.

Ciana transformed to Ken, as he prepared himself for certain trouble,

Whilst Lluming listened, as Ciana's steps disappeared like bubble,

He quickly felt a bad feeling, which he felt when he lost Eleazar,

A tightening in his chest, a bad vision, even from afar.

Not wanting to lose another friend,

He flew outside, with no much said,

But now unfamiliar, with the face Ciana now took,

Lluming felt lost, and tried so hard to look.

...

Lucifer's guards quickly informed him,

"We got the seer! Some demon caught him!"

Lucifer then smiled with joy, as a few tears brimmed,

As other demons whispered, "We'd surely win,"

The demon stood with pride, and quickly looked at the Seer,

And chanted a phrase repeatedly,

"The heaven's death is near!"

He took him to a room, where he plans to extract his abilities,

Without suspecting much, that he's just an angel doing his responsibilities.

...

Belphegor awoke again to another nightmare,

He grits his teeth, and goes back without much care,

However, a shadowy figure seemed to pass him,

That he quickly jolted out awake, although he was near to sleeping.

Asmodeus simply dodged his incoming punch,

"Stop scaring me like that, if you don't want to be Beel's lunch!"

"Hey, I...Lucifer just wanted you around,

He said The Last Seer, the demons finally found,"

Belphegor sighed, "Lucifer's always so looking forward for his victory,

That he oftentimes overlooks the possibility,

That this act could no more but treachery,

Tell the guy, I'd go there immediately,"

"Do you really think the angels would commit suicide?

That's funny, because if it's fake, then the imposter would surely die,"

"Tsk, you are a slave of your trust, as Lucifer is a slave of his pride,

You need to look at all angles, before you proceed to decide,"

Belphegor then puts on his cape,

As he pats Asmo's shoulder, "Quick, before it's late,"

And they both walked to Ciana's room, where he's served his plate,

An extraction of power, or a much worse fate.
