Chapter 128: FIGHT ALONGSIDE US

Lluming woke up, straight from a nightmare,

His eyes, painting the picture of hell.

He screamed, as the thoughts came back to his mind,

Michael quickly comforted him, rushing to his side.

"You don't have to panic, it's just a dream,"

"A dream? But it felt so real,

I witnessed her, torn apart, limb from limb,

By monsters, with no face, but can see.

I have a feeling it's a warning given to me,

That I should take it all seriously."

"You have to sleep, you need to sleep,

I'll watch from outside, in case you're revisited by your dreams.

It's normal to have nightmares as a mortal who's scarred,

Just sleep for now, for I now you're much tired.

Tell me more tomorrow, if you have more to say,

For now, let the others, sleep comfortably, til day."

Lluming nodded, but his worries prevented him from sleeping further,

He stayed awake, as the light touched his covers.

He yawned, rubbing his eyes as he forces his self out of bed,

"This is...just, too peaceful, but why am I afraid?"

Ken greeted him excitedly,

"A sparring match again! Shall we?"

But he only smiles as he shakes his head,

"I don't feel good, as you might tell."

And Ken really did notice his eyes,

Surrounded by black circles,

He backs away slowly,

As he apologized as well.

"Guess, I'd just ask Sir Michael then!"

"Thank you for the understanding, Ken."

But the thoughts never left his head,

As in exhaustion, he fainted fell.

Ken quickly heard the loud 'thug' sound,

As he looked back and saw Lluming asleep on the ground.

He quickly called Mar, who was just right beside him,

"Help me carry sir Lluming! He's heavy though thin!"

Once he is placed in his bed,

Sleeping peacefully and motionless,

Ken tried to touch his forehead,

Only to realized he's sick as well.

"Gosh! He's so hot!"

Ken quickly remarked.

"Hmm, I'd go ahead and get him something,

For now, you take care of him."

Ken nodded as she left,

While he began to fix him on his bed.

When he was about to place the wet towel on his head,

He saw a strange shot of visions from his mind went.

The woman, with the golden earrings,

Of whom they were supposed to bring,

Was followed by monsters, to a corner of no escape,

Where there, she met, her cruel fate.

Because of the sudden rush of a violent image,

He accidentally dropped the towel on Lluming's face,

Earning the angel to immediately jolt awake,

As Ken again apologized, for the clear mistake.

Ken shivers slightly from seeing such destiny,

As he had not recieved such visions, for some days until eventually,

He felt sick that he swore the scent of blood was stuck on his nose,

He gagged a bit, as Lluming held him close.

"What did you saw?"

"Her...being, devoured, gnawed."

"Can her fate be changed?"

"But Sir Lluming, only God would know."

"If she dies, then the tower won't rise,

We won't win, and would meet our demise,

It must be a warning to not simply just stand here,

I'm going to rescue her, even if it costs me everything."

"But her husband is much stronger in this month,

You'd die, and to lose another archangel, we simply can't,

You still have to wait for three years so you could become immortal again, right?

After all, that's what sir Michael said that night.

You should not do this alone once again, sir Lluming.

We are stronger in numbers, please don't go there, dying.

She is loved by Asmodeus, so why would she violently die?"

"But you saw, didn't you? The images in your mind.

If it was me, it may be a dream or hallucination,

But it's you who saw it, it's a nearing vision.

If we stand here, blinded by the peace and calm,

Then we would be surprised, once the storm comes.

We need to move our pieces towards their king,

We need to prevent them, from the chaos they'd then bring.

Prevention, is better than cure,

Stopping them only, could result to a hundred failures.

I'm going not by myself,

I'm going to convince the others to help.

You can come there, and maybe see the main seven, yourself,

But don't get too close, for your ability's not yet fully harnessed."

"That's...not what sir Michael planned,"

"You still lack courage, Ken, I thought that you finally have,"

"I just...if they leave, then what about us, humans?

What about my people? The woman I love?

I don't care about much, but I care deeply about them,

If we go, then what defenses were they left?

Why are we going out there, risking our life for one woman?

We don't even know, if she's on our side, what if it does us more harm?

Is it worth it going there? Losing more of us,

Just to gain a single woman, who's probably brainwashed?

Please sir Lluming, don't let us suffer from everything,

Protect these humans, don't toss them around, as they kept praying."

"More of them will perish if we wait for her to die,"

Ken quickly felt himself warmer, as he felt a tear fell from his eye.

"Then...how weaker will the barrier be?"

"I'll only take half of the angels with me."

Ken nods, as he rethinks of it over,

"And what if we failed? Our numbers are frightingly lower."

Michael overheard the conversation,

As Mar was behind, carrying the medication.

"You're in distress, I can tell,

I felt that you had a clouded head,"

"I do not have a clouded head, Sir Michael,

I saw the other half, mawled to death,

Not only me, but the Seer also saw her,

We need to devise a plan, to get her as sooner."

"Perhaps you have to listen for a moment,

We can't just barge in there, without knowing the arrangements.

Lucifer probably changed the whole palace,

Doubled the watchers, doubled the guards.

More so, have you noticed Samael had not yet returned?

Though quite rebellious, he never broke a promise once told.

I have a feeling something bad happened to him,

Lucifer wanted him on his side, but what if he grows tired of him?

The faeries he usually visits tells me that he haven't come back yet,

And more so, I had a feeling that we had much more problems.

We need not to rush, Lluming, of a mission we're not even sure of,

Our enemies may be egoistic, buy they are not as careless, and dumb.

They had learned throughout each encounter,

So we have to wait, until we're more in numbers,

I talked to the reapers, and they're making us weapons,

Not only for us, but for the humans,

which would then take lessons.

I realized they do need to learn how to defend themselves,

Take the strongest, and the weak only to shelf.

And until then, when we are strong enough,

We are not moving, simply wait patiently, though it's tough."

Martha felt nervous, but excited just the same,

She'd be part of fighting evil, though it is not a simple game.

She had only one chance, and one blow could kill her easy,

Though knowledgable about some tactics, she was still yearning for more strategy.

("Finally, a new purpose for me,

I will do my best, and make sure Ken sees,

That I can also protect, and be of help,

Than simply being rescued, as my life felt like a luck of bets.)

She was excited to say her opinion, until Barachiel ran towards the group with a worried expression,

"Samael managed to make this feather flew, unto our direction,

Bloody and burnt, he's in danger, without much question."

"That's weird, it smells familiar,"

Remarked, the black haired Mar.

She recalled the scenes of her former home,

Where she smells the scent of gun powder,

Mixed with smoke.

"That's...really odd, it's a...gun,"

"It's impossible if he is killed by a mere human!"

"Ken, hold the feather and see if you can reveal anything,"

Michael handed him the feather, as Ken held it,

praying.

But rather than see what it was,

The feather quickly turned into ash.

"It's purpose had been done, the magic ran out,"

Barachiel said, in a saddened sound.

Ken crumpled his fists, as he thinks of what it is,

A human cannot kill a strong creature with this weapon at ease.

Just what did the gun have?

That injured such beast?
