Chapter 129: THE MONSTER OF THAT NIGHT

"No, you're supposed to cut it like this,"

Azazel guided Satan's hands, continuing to assist.

Satan sighed, "How can you keep doing these?"

"Cutting people up, is my expertise."

Satan rolled his eyes as he continued to learn,

Azazel hummed to himself, as the flesh he then burned.

A dark smoke-like thing, emerged from his bottle,

He cut open Samael's chest, and looked at Satan,

"Watch well."

He chanted some words Satan can't even ponder,

As the smoke to his gesture, easily followed.

In time, Samael began to rise,

But his stare was blank, and can't be recognized.

"See? Now I have to patch up his back and chest,

It's all open and it'd spill out if not fixed,

Lord Satan, please hand me those things,"

Satan looked at the needles, and the scissors he then reached.

Azazel continued to work on it as if it's nothing more but a childish project,

His hands were swift, and fluid, and noticeably perfect.

"Did you know I can make a whole new being with just hair and a bit of bone?"

Azazel arrogantly boasted, as Satan asked, "That so?"

"Yes! I'll even show you next time,

For now I'll show you the products of my countless tries,

If you may my Lord, do follow me on where I keep my creations,

(And I'll show you, why I deserve a higher position.)"

"Azazel...I, is Samael not alive in his own body anymore?"

"Well, Lucifer made sure he's killed after all.

Those bullets that are as quick as light gave him no chance to escape it,

Not only that, but there's poison mixed within.

What's interesting though, is that Samael did not covered himself with his wings,

It's as if he accepted his fate and of what life would bring.

It could only mean two things as I have thought, however,

If it was part of his plan, or he just accepted Death and surrendered.

Either ways, with those weapons, I doubt the angels would stand a chance,"

"But...still, we shouldn't underestimate the creatures we don't understand.

They have other allies that may help them with poison,

Faeries are known for that," "But we have the witches who had better options,"

"Lucifer's sin is that he believes too much on himself,

He thinks he's better than anyone else,

He bosses others around, as it was truly me who maintains the orders,

He thinks he's a god, when he's nothing without his followers."

"Lord Satan! Don't tell me that you and him are on a feud?"

"Don't speak too loud, it won't do good,"

"But you have never shown any opposition of him before?"

"I am not opposing him, just wishing he could be better."

Azazel felt disappointed as Satan did not admit at all,

So he smiled pretending, he's happy for his concern.

"You're truly a good second-in-command,

I hope Lord Lucifer sees your struggles,

And your wishes be grant."

Satan was not convinced at Azazel's acting,

So he ignored him, which made Azazel much hateful,

"So...what is it that you truly want Azazel?

Is there any secret, you dare not tell?"

Satan's voice turned terrifying,

As Azazel's proud smile, melted at sight,

"To keep a secret from you, oh what a silly little thing!

I assure you I am loyal, no matter what the circumstances bring."

Satan nodded and looked at Samael's still blank expression,

"When will he improve? He looked like a stagnant doll waiting for possession."

"It's just hard since he's a big bulky guy,

The smoke is travelling his body,

To control all of his nerves will take a while.

Not only that, the wounds would also need to heal,

Since this is a body, that can still scar and feel.

It's harder to make someone come back to life than make a new whole being,

That's what I learned, after countless experimentations I've been conducting.

Sometimes, the host just refuses to accept the new one,

Sometimes, it'd rot faster and all my hardwork would be gone,

However, I'd make sure that every possible remedy is done,

So I can make more progress and spawns."

Satan barely listened as he talks too much,

Instead he stares at Samael, amazed as he watch.

The once feeble body of the angel-demon he once knew,

Now looks completely different, Azazel's terrifying and it's true.

Satan did not tell him however, as he just decided to leave,

"Wait! Lord Satan! There's so much I wanted to tell you with!"

"I...am exhausted for now, save them for tomorrow,

If something wrong happened to your lab, let us know."

His voice sound uninterested, annoyed,

Which Azazel now realized he hated the most.

He then snapped his fingers as Samael then moved,

Seeing Azazel's face, imprinting him as his master, like they always should.

Azazel lied to Satan, so Samael won't recognize the wrath demon as one of the masters,

He admired his work, as he slowly broke to laughter.

"Angels, and demons...won't bow for Lucifer.

For it is I, who is rightfully King, as the three worlds I merge together.

Hmmm...I wonder if I'd order them to be killed or not,

If so, what torture would be enough?"

He looks at the new made demon and thought of a plan,

"What about this? Can you kill Beelzebub? When he's far from the pack?"

He handed the demon a piece of cloth,

Stained with Beel's blood, and although not a lot-

Was enough to give Samael an idea of who,

"Hang him, mince him, I don't care what you do.

With most of the Leaders gone and if a main seven dies,

There's no choice left, but for me to only rise.

Isn't that an admirable plan, my little pet?

Me finally fulfilling my dreams I gave my blood and sweat.

How much would I give for the power, you wonder?

Ah! Anything at all! There's nothing the fates can't ask for!

After all, I had nothing much to lose,

And if I calculate correctly, I'd be very close."

...

Beelzebub heard a slight noise on his door,

Tapping and scratching, making him wonder more,

He opens his eyes, as he sees a shadow aided by light,

He dared not open his door, and wondered if he should hide.

He asked who he was, if the person was even Sellena,

But no voice did assured, but rather growls like that of a hyena,

He sensed danger, as the scent wasn't familiar,

So he looked at the window, where his aid was the stars.

The soft noises became desperate knocks,

So he opened the window and there tried to escape,

The wind howled merciless, as if it daringly mocked,

As Beelzebub almost lost his footing, when his balance proved tough.

He looked at how high up he was,

And prayed he had wings he can fly with above,

But truth be told he only have his claws,

He can do nothing more, but hope he won't fall.

Suddenly, an animalistic growl was heard from his right,

As he saw a figure, turning its head speedily, giving a fright,

It twisted its head, and it twisted its legs,

Making Beelzebub, though a demon himself, very afraid.

It looked like a monster from a dream,

Because it's so dark, the figure was tricky and dim.

It looked like a shadow, but was slowly creeping towards him,

Emitting those same haunting growls, and the tapping of his tail in the hard gray walls.

The demon of gluttony growled back, trying to scare the thing,

But it continued to produce those weird unpredictable head tilts, and kept moving.

Beelzebub knew there was nothing much he could do that moment,

So he released his four monsters, in his back at the same time growling.

His worry turned to hunger as the other figure kept approaching,

As Azazel's crow from above, watched the scene about to take place,

Oh how exciting...
