Chapter 166: A WALK WITH SATAN

Azazel sighed, a bit upset he had to give up,

Especially when he's aware, of the value Jacob has.

He had given him a wonderful talent,

A rare type earned from sleepless nights.

He perfected everything that needs to be done,

Just to make sure the cloning ability would be enhanced.

Jacob wore his mask, and bowed one last time to his former master,

Azazel could only sigh, "Alright then, move faster."

Eligorr was confused, can't he make another?

And seemingly reading his reaction,

Azazel chuckles, "It's too much work to make another. And we're running out of healthy hosts.

It's a shame, really,

But...I have more at my disposal I suppose."

Eligorr nodded only, as Jacob walks out,

His uniform a black robe, with 3 red pearls around.

He walked nonchalantly, as if just a mere toy following orders,

Yet he could tell he does feel lonely,

Having known nothing about the outside world.

How was Stacy doing, he wonders?

Had she gotten fulfilling adventures?

How does it feel being in the warm sunlight?

Does it feel nice?

His thoughts were interrupted by gleaming eyes,

He looked and bowed, lowering his sight.

Satan smiles only, "Your eyes are as gloomy as hers,

Do you remember anything, even a single bit about your past? Or did Azazel had those, completely removed?"

Satan asked rather curious,

As he circle around Jacob, observing his figure.

Jacob only felt confused.

He doesn't remember a thing about this host.

Sure, they share the same name,

But Azazel told him nothing else,

Asking more of what you're told will be a problem,

As he saw the other experiments burned to death.

Satan took notice of his silence,

And in turn, just stood still, looking at his face.

Whenever Sellena isn't angry, and her hair not neatly fixed,

The two look so alike, from the eyes to the way they speak.

Their calm voice and mannerisms, mirror each other and it was quite unnerving,

If Azazel removed everything, then why does he remind him so much of Sellena?

He must have been staring too much,

Because Jacob turned away feeling sort of embarrassed.

He had never felt so much attention before,

And to be frank, Jacob felt unexplainable feelings soar.

He realized he doesn't like the way his New Master looks,

As scary as this place is, his eyes give him a different kind of spook.

"I...I'm sorry, is there something I should change?"

"No, it's not about how you look, I'm sorry if my actions seemed quite strange,

I'm just amazed. You look...exactly like her,"

"But who exactly are you speaking of?"

"Your body's sister."

Jacob thinks a little,

And remembered nothing about her.

Does she have black hair and black eyes as well?

Is she a problem, should he kill her too?

To him with no attachment, it wouldn't be a problem.

After all, he was programmed to follow only the orders told and presented.

Satan smiles and gestured him to follow,

"I'll tell you more, but for now we must go.

I cannot let others overhear what we're supposed to discuss,

Make sure not to trick me, I know who spits lie."

Jacob nodded his head obediently,

And walked towards a chamber hidden deep within,

He couldn't see much, and his guide was only the three red pearls also present on Satan's back.

He tried to look around, and felt startled when a bat squeaked.

He stopped for a bit to compose himself.

"Sorry, this place isn't as taken care of,

There's rats, bats, and stink I hope would somehow be fixed,

But even maids hated this place.

This place is tricky aftet all."

And when Jacob was about to move forward,

His foot accidentally stepped on bones,

He doesn't know if it was an animal's, a human's or a demon's,

What was in his mind was how the hell it got there.

Satan giggled.

"I told you to beware.

Those definitely belonged to a maid's.

I remember weeks back that I punished one here,

The little woman dared steal something from me,

And so I left her here, in the chamber of the lost.

It's dark, very, and there is only one entrance.

The others are designed to trap anyone.

I freed my good snake to play a little hunt,

And well...there she is...all she's left behind.

My snake dislikes bones,

So he leaves them here,

To scare anyone who arrives.

So make sure to follow me always,

And now, you'll at least know the reason for those pearls you're wearing.

This place is even frightening for a Devil."

"Who made it?"

"Ah, well...it was designed by the genius Haborym,

But the common demons constructed this place.

Anyways, we're getting near,

I just don't anyone eavesdropping.

And I especially dislike having Lucifer bother me in any way.

Heh, even that little god don't know how to navigate this place.

Only I and Haborym are smart enough to remember the paths and shapes.

Oh, pardon me. I've been too full of myself, eh?

Anyways, if you could. Tell me about yourself."

Jacob was about to speak,

But the heavy stench in the air prevents him to do it.

It smells so awful, and he swore he could taste it too.

It tasted like rotting corpses, bat pee, and anything far gross.

"Hm, I see...you don't like it here so much, huh?

Well, sorry, it's the only place I'm certain of.

The final chamber there is spacious,

You can test your abilities freely there, without any precautions.

You only have to bear with me a little,

Yeah, the way there is...really god awful,

But it's needed, so even if it's already bringing some tears in your eyes,

Just hold on, and endure it for a little while."

Jacob didn't even nod, and just held his nose,

His feet getting more and more contact with scattered bones.

He wondered how many times Satan goes here, for him to know where to go,

It's as if he was born in this place,

to memorize it so.

Satan had this exact place in hell as well,

And just had Haborym make it here in earth,

What he didn't expect was how fast it'd take to rot this chambers too.

Gosh, so many sinners to dispose of to.

"Tsk, if only God designed the dead not to stink,

I would have proudly showcased this to you,

what do you think?"

Jacob faked a laugh, but soon coughed.

"Ah...right...you're still not holding that great, huh?"

Satan summoned his snake and had it glow vividly,

And now Jacob saw the many passages, and the bats and bones, and blood stains scattered freely.

For the first time, he felt like backing down from an order,

Especially now that he's more aware of the place he's under.

"Ah, don't look at it like that.

The cell where we keep humans is far worse that this,

Just be thankful you're working for me.

Because everything here, will not be the worse you'd see."

Just then, the two heard a loud groan,

And suddenly, a thin-looking man charged at the two.

Jacob quickly made a clone,

Choking the fast charging man, who turned out to only beg for food.

"Who is he?" Jacob asked, wondering.

Satan thinks a bit, but had no idea of who the man was.

"Probably Haborym's idea. Looks pretty new here too.

Maybe this guy pissed him off.

Who really knows for sure."

"Should I kill him?"

Jacob asked, as Satan answered quickly.

"Ah, don't. If Haborym wanted him killed, he can do that swiftly,

But he took him here, so he can suffer slowly.

I say...maybe just throw him as hard as you can,

Maybe even break his legs, whatever you want.

But don't kill him. Let him drown in the heavy stench of corpses.

Haborym is not easily pissed, but the fact he did this...

This man may have really committed something terrible."

Jacob nodded his head

and had his clone break its legs.

The man cried and just then its skin turn red.

That's when Satan recognized, it's also a demon of hell.

"What? So Haborym punished a demon?

But...how did he looked human before?"

Hey, you...I recognize your face,

You're not a shapeshifter."

But the man dared not talk and was just crying, begging for death,

But Satan couldn't understand anything he said.

Impatient, he left the man, who desperately tried to cling to his foot,

But Jacob simply stepped on his hand, as the weakened demon lets go of it too.

"So...not new?"

"Yeah...I thought he was.

But I haven't visited this place in months.

A demon can survive months without food,

A human couldn't.

He's a soldier of Haborym's,

Don't have any clue why he's here.

But...put him out of your mind now,

After all, the place we're after is near."

Jacob continued to follow Satan,

And was surprised when the Prince suddenly stopped.

He seemed to have looked for a knob,

And a big door opened,

The place having such wide grounds.

"Alright then Jacob, show me your gifts.

Prove to me here, that you're worthy to keep..."
