Chapter 165: ANGER, ENVY AND PRIDE

Leviathan felt like he couldn't sleep,

Knowing just what he did.

He continued to turn and shift,

As he ultimately by then, couldn't resist.

He sat up, and turned around,

Paranoid that evidence had been found.

He hoped that somehow, Lucifer would dismiss his murder,

Or not tell it to Asmodeus, as he knows his unparallelled anger.

Guilty and no longer able to be at peace,

He contemplates on what to do next.

Surely, someone of high power like him,

Couldn't be possibly killed,

Or at least that's what he expects.

He turns to look at the empty side of his bed,

Sighed, and further felt depressed.

He just really wanted to be with someone else,

But...truth be hold, no one could love such mess.

He fixes his long messy hair,

And lit his lamp with flare.

His dark room may have been lighten up,

But it only showed just how alone he really is,

Though it's spacious a lot.

Sadness enveloped his heart,

As his satisfaction from before did not last.

Sellena is dead, he thought,

But now what?

He's nervous he'd get caught.

Haunted by the fact he cheated his brother,

He stood up and wondered of what he may do,

Even if Asmodeus didn't know it was him,

He probably knew Sellena's gone by then.

The demon of envy quickly put on his coat,

As he tied his hair that's noticably long.

He sighed and tried to shake off his fear,

Then opened the door,

As he muttered a scared, "...please."

...

Asmodeus was inside his own room,

Playing darts, but with the use of sharpened bones,

He was frustrated, had never been that bored,

But even this small little game, couldn't filter his anger,

he yearned for more.

He may have already envisioned it as Leviathan's head,

But no, he wants the real thing dead.

He may have known the purple-haired demon longer,

But that creature never did him favors.

Out of wrath he cracked one of the bones,

As it fell shattered to the floor.

Asmodeus lost his temper, and smashed the makeshift target,

As he yelled, thirsty for revenge.

What if Sellena couldn't walk again?

What if she turned blind? Mute? And other problem.

Such thoughts make the demon even more frightened,

But at the same time, this hot sick feeling, never swayed, not a little even.

Until someone knocked the door,

Begging him to open.

But the voice seemed awfully familiar,

"The nerve of the guy to come here,

have his fault, he already forgotten?"

Then, he remembered Haborym's warning,

Lucifer values Leviathan, despite his childish envy.

That caused Asmodeus to break the target ultimately,

Threw it to the window, as he laughs uncontrollably.

The pain, the anger, it was overbearing.

And Leviathan who hears it clearly on the other side, started shaking.

He cleared his throat, and asked him to open the door once more,

Asmodeus had urge to kill him, but didn't want to get in trouble.

Despite his intent to kill him once he sees his face,

He doesn't want from Sellena, he be seperate.

So he shut down his usually impulsive behaviour,

And politely, despite all, declined Levi's order.

Leviathan did not take him seriously,

Thinking Asmodeus would love his gift, once he see,

So he kept knocking, have great hope he'd be forgiven,

Since among all demons, Asmodeus is the most understanding.

But he underestimated the damage he caused the broken man,

Who by every knock felt his chains losing up.

His kind green eyes eventually turned red,

As his mind turned darker,

Leviathan broke his thread.

He opened the door abruptly, his nails dugging deep on its frame,

More so, when he saw, Leviathan's innocent looking face.

He chuckles, and commented on how he looked deprived,

And pulled out a slave of his,

"Enjoy her as much as you can!

It is a gift, since I've heard of what happened,

Surely, you'll need it since I know you're frustrated,"

"Are you sure this is what I am? What I wanted?"

"Well, of course! Do you need more? How many do you-"

"Why did you send this?

Are you...somehow guilty?"

"What? No, I was doing it because I'm worried,

You're always here, controlling yourself for that woman,

But now you could do anything you want,

Because she's gone."

Leviathan smiles as she pushes the woman in his arms,

Asmodeus, blinded by anger, destroyed the woman's skull.

Blood sprayed across Leviathan's face,

As the woman had no time to react to the quick damage.

"I don't need any other woman, Leviathan,

This...isn't what I am now, nor what I want.

Get out of my sight, before I do the same to your head,

Make sure you're far from me, because if not, you'd be dead."

"But I didn't do nothing wrong!"

Asmodeus wanted to laugh,

His nerves sure are strong.

Angry at the fact he's still denying,

Asmodeus grabbed him by the horns.

He quickly lifted him up his feet,

Even though the demon is tall himself, he had admitted defeat,

He felt true fear when he saw Asmodeus truly smiled,

The way Satan does,

When he's about to kill his prey,

"Gonna whine?"

Leviathan shook his head barely,

As he continued to say, "Sorry,"

But Asmodeus didn't want those pathetic word,

It's useless to him,

barely had worth.

He quickly recalled a scene from his angel days,

Where he said the same word, over and over again,

Trying to explain to Uriel what had really happened,

But he was already deemed impure, and to the cold harsh soil he've fallen.

He looked at Leviathan, who begged him to let go,

As he walked towards the edge, and purposely broke the window.

Other demons heard, and rushed to stop their fight,

But before they could, Asmodeus already threw Leviathan out of his sight.

Although Leviathan summoned his dragons to save him from falling,

His chest didn't stopped from intensely beating.

Asmodeus gave him mercy, but he saw a chain marked in his arm,

A sign that Asmo would know when he's close,

So to inflict more harm.

He decided to cover them always with long sleeved outfits,

And to no longer send him live gifts.

He felt mortified, more so when a lot of demons saw his inability to defend himself,

He may be a beast tamer, but that was all he ever is.

He couldn't help but shiver remembering the fast crushing Asmo did,

Or the thought if he'd even be forgiven at least.

So...Asmo somehow knew it was him,

Was he really...that mean?

He feared for his life,

If no demons were near that time,

He could have really died.

And Asmo could turn his body to ashes in mere seconds,

And only his connection to Lucifer is saving him from that trouble.

He felt pale, cold, and still can't sleep.

He looked at the mirror,

And saw his own horns, about to crack,

"Ah, sh*t,"

He tried to fix it but it breaks down,

And he even tried to tie it back but it looks ridiculous now,

Frustrated, he couldn't help but look at the mirror and stare at his pathetic self,

As his own tears came on their own,

He saw just how much he's lost his worth.

He cried and cried, way more open than he did before,

He felt all the pain in his chest, gushing out, as he asked the true Lord.

"Why have I...even before I fell?

Didn't feel like I am loved and noticed?

Why had You always been unfair?"

Half of his horn cracked and fell completely,

As he froze his horns to the same shape, although it's melting slowly.

Overwhelmed by his feelings, he destroyed his own mirror,

As he calls himself, a pathetic little loser.

Not satisfied with the things he did,

He walked towards the prison halls and gathered the sick,

Although it's too late now for the undead to feed,

He drops the old men, and sickly, to the deep rotten pit.

The witches tried to stop him, but he looked mad so they stayed back,

He continued the act, longer than it should have.

And as he see the people cry and beg, he continued to laugh.

It's all he had, the delusion of power he desperately wants.

But he was too weak to have it,

And too insignificant to ask for it,

So he can only pretend,

That he had power over the weak.

"Alright my Lord, that is enough,

We are running out of food for the other bunch,"

A witch spoke in a shaky voice,

Fearing the new-brought Nemue,

Expecting the worst.

"Then find some more, it's not my problem,

I am a Prince, am I not? So you take care of it!"

"But...sir, it's not as easy, humans are getting scarce, and we need more for labor,

If this goes on, we'd just feed them little children,"

Children.

Leviathan remembered he's about to have one in a matter of time now,

He smiles...hoping that somehow,

He could have something he'd be proud of.

Will he finally feel the satisfaction he longs for?

Or will it also be a bore?

Leviathan couldn't wait,

"Sir Leviathan, please-"

"Go away."

But the woman kept stopping her when he's about to throw another one anyway,

"Those batch of humans are for the other hungry ones!

Madamme Nemue would punish us!"

As the struggle continued, Leviathan's frozen horn snapped once more,

Showing his pathetic looking form.

His horns melted completely,

As the original pieces fell to the pit of zombies.

Leviathan felt angry,

And the witch tried to back away slowly.

He summoned his dragons that completely caught the lady,

"You kept telling me what to do,"

As she kept telling him sorry.

But Leviathan was in no mood of forgiveness, himself,

As he cuts of the witches arms and legs.

She begged for her other comrades to help,

But they pretended not to see her as she's eaten awake.

Leviathan leaves, temporarily feeling fulfillment,

But he knows it won't be long,

And perhaps in just a few moments,

He'd still long for something else...

to take.

Ah, a never ending cycle of frustration and longing,

When you let anger, envy and pride,

Tell you the direction you should be heading,

Such an untrustworthy guide.
