Chapter 185: ANGELS OF GRACE

The angels gathered around Haborym,

As they judge his intentions within.

The dove who had just accompanied him,

Turned out to be one of the highest seraphims.

It took a form of a woman,

With golden hair and eyes like jewels.

And though Haborym do not know her name,

He recognized her face.

One of the angels who sung of praise,

And one of the angels who sounded the trumpets as they forbid Lucifer of grace.

He saw her, above, and though not fighting like most angels were,

She was clearly with power, influence, the way other angels bow, waiting for her every say,

"Your prayers are heard,

But are your intentions true?

Here in front, are the angels who'll judge you.

No more will be the darkness in your heart,

But it all would come in a price.

Are you willing to sacrifice your former life?

And live a humble servant to God?"

Servant.

Hah, the word he despises the most.

Haborym thought if it'd make a difference,

But seeing their flawless faces,

And their beautiful stature,

It was obvious,

That they were treated good.

He lowered his head in humility,

As his black wings continued flapping, but now slowly.

With his answer, the angels smiled sweetly,

As they sung of great joy, another soul claimed,

another great story.

Hanah places her palms in his head,

As he felt great pain leave his chest.

It was a dark, smoke-like thing,

Screaming like a banshee, tried attacking them.

But the seraphims quickly overpowers his demon,

And once gone, Haborym felt like a new person.

He cried, but he didn't mutter a word,

But his eyes, one could tell he was thankful.

His need to obey evil, was no more.

He felt free from his chains, obligations to Lucifer.

He looked at Hanah, and the angels surrounding them,

"Thank you, but most to God, who showed me his grace."

The angel only smiled, and calls three seperate angels on her side,

"Lead this man to Selaphiel, for my mission on earth still isn't done.

I've heard another prayer, and I need to get them back,

Purify their souls, make them worthy to God."

The angels bowed in admission, and they quickly led Haborym away,

As Hanah and a few other seraphims, flew the other way.

Those who remained, scattered across the earth,

Hearing all seperate prayers, of wanting to change for good.

Hanah smiles with brimming hope,

To see a demon with such heart, felt something new.

Now, now, she must contain her excitement and happiness,

As it's not easy...

Getting to Asmodeus.

"Are you ready to be worthy, dear Asmo?

Are you ready to meet again,

Your beloved brothers and sisters?"

...

Sellena held Asmo's hands,

Tears ever present in her eyes.

"I love them so much, Asmodeus...

Please, help me leave this place,

And serve my purpose.

The Seer...I need to get to him,

It may seem selfish,

But it's the only way to stop this.

I want my brothers back, I want them to live in a good world,

Help me save them, please."

And although Asmodeus do not want her to leave,

He knew that men like him doesn't deserve good rubies like her.

He deserve more.

The rage and longing, envy and lust,

Washed away, like his pride.

He felt lighter, and his mind was swept of its confusion,

Now, in front of him, was what pushed him to reach conclusion.

He needed to redeem himself,

And offer his help.

He felt thankful that Sellena did not fall for him too much,

As it would mean, she'd also succumb to the embrace of the dark.

He felt free.

But not too much on the literal sense.

There's still a lot to do.

Starting with Sellena's escape.

They were about to walk away,

Until Asmodeus saw pairs of butterflies fluttering their way.

He recognized the sight immediately,

They were angels of grace and though not for fighting,

Are significant nonetheless.

Sellena wondered why there was a wide smile on her lover's face,

And why he immediately freed himself from her embrace.

He suddenly moved forward, then knelt to his knees,

As he tried to keep himself quiet,

Even though he wanted to scream.

He waited so long to see them.

To erase this darkness in his heart.

And now that there's no desire left for him to follow Satan,

He felt freed, in his own chains, suffocating his heart.

One particular butterfly transformed into Hanah.

The angel as old as Lucifer and Belphegor,

She smiled at him, recalling the times he was once so little,

Asmodeus always cries, but it felt more meaning, now that he's older.

"You...look as youthful as ever,"

Hanah couldn't help herself but feel sadness whatsoever.

He saw Asmo's clawed hands, and horns,

His demonic wings, and tail of a lion.

The beautiful flower of heaven...

turned into a demon.

"Asmodeus, are you ready to let go?"

She asked, feeling hopeful.

Asmodeus smiles, finally feeling alive,

He may not be the same as ever,

But it's worth throwing away all he had.

He doesn't want to rule the world with his brothers anymore.

He wanted to love, and feel love, build a family with her.

He doesn't even care if he'd give away immortality, and his abilities,

"I just wanted God to forgive me."

And that was when Hanah's fingers pointed to his heart,

"Then we'll cleanse you right away," Then forward were the butterflies.

They quickly pierce him with light,

As Asmodeus, in pain, had his green replaced with red,

The demon inside him was far stronger than Haborym's,

Proving too powerful to be destroyed by Hanah's team.

A huge black smoke came out of Asmodeus,

As he struggle so much, to contain the freeing noise,

Sellena however, not wanting it to defeat him again,

Concentrated, positioned her hand towards the monster's head.

Though she feels nervous, she placed her trust on God,

As she frantically, shoots the bright slates of light.

It quickly distracted the monster for a few seconds,

As Asmodeus himself, released his binding chains to trap the monster.

"You will not rule me no more..."

Asmodeus said as his voice got deeper.

The monster yelled and in turned scratched his arm,

And though blood oozed from his skin, painful and warm,

To destroy the being, was the only thing in his mind.

The angels took turns devouring the demon,

As it continued to be little and little.

The chains hold the monster still, as it weakened by time,

And because it couldn't move further,

Asmodeus burned it with delight.

It's final act was scream its battle cry,

As Hanah realized they have not much time.

The seraphim knew that they must leave soon,

Or the demons will come right away with suspicion.

So after the black smoke dies by the hands of Asmodeus himself,

His red eyes vanished, never to return again.

She walked forward to Sellena,

As she whispered slowly into her ear.

"I'll give you three days,

To carry those who deserve to be saved.

Talk to them one by one,

Decide who will be, added as God's daughters and sons,

He will help you decide by guiding your heart,

Dear, don't waste our precious time.

If the person however, doesn't want to leave,

And yet felt suspicious of what you're trying to achieve,

Whisper 'forget' in their ears,

And they will act, like nothing they hear.

Let's meet at the balcony, where you've first used the slates,

There, my dear, your rescue awaits.

Lluming, will be the one to fly you away,

Take all you can,

Those who have faith.

I hope you the best,

May your hope remain."

And as she said her final word,

She quickly turned into a butterfly and left them on their own,

Asmodeus sighed, and since he was covered in blood,

Making an excuse will be tough.

Before all could go into chaos,

He decided to summon Belphegor and Beelzebub.

The famished demon quickly cleaned the bloody spot,

As Sellena and Belphegor helped patch Asmodeus up.

The fifth winced in pain as his adrenaline fades,

"And though I do not intend to know too much details,

May I know what happened?

Why are you suddenly bloodied? This is strange,"

Belphegor asked, concerned,

Until he realized something was strange and wrong.

How is Asmodeus not crazy for Sellena?

Did he harmed himself to control his lust?

There was apparent confusion in his eyes,

"You...you're docile, I must be going mad."

"Don't think too much about it,"

Asmodeus weakly said.

Beelzebub smelled an unfamiliar scent,

He knew it was of an angel.

(So...was he forgiven?)

He smiled, but did not spoke a word.

All he wanted, was his friend to find joy.

He hoped he could control his gluttony too,

But truth be told, it was getting harder and harder to endure.

"Beelzebub? Are you alright?

You seemed too still,

Was Asmo's blood that bad?"

Belphegor joked, wanting to lighten the mood,

While Asmodeus laughed, and soon Beel too.

Sellena felt her heart ache, knowing their fates,

If she fails to save them, from the scorching flames.

"May God...give them grace."
