Chapter 231: IS THERE ENOUGH INK?

Sellena's eyes could only water at the sight,

Seeing her brother's face, yet another time.

Lluming gritted his teeth, as Gabriel tried to comfort him,

Seeing that Eligorr, posed as Azazel, was standing before them.

Jason grinned, happy to see the lady he failed to kill,

"Oh? You survived until now? I'm so glad to hear,"

He mockingly said, as Sellena wipes her tears,

She was still unbearably hurt, losing both her brothers so dear.

"Don't cry now, young lady,

I'll make sure…you'll reunite with your family.

Oh, if only you come close a little bit,

I'll even offer my services for free."

Asmodeus felt deeply angered, seeing how he threaten his wife,

And thus, moved forward, making him see his crimson eyes.

Stacy rose her bruised head up, and quickly looked at Jason,

Who upon seeing her face, became angry himself for her poor condition.

"Damn you. I'll kill your lady later."

"I'll be happy to see you try, sucker."

Michael was about to join in,

But he felt frozen upon sensing something neared.

"I haven't even moved on from the shock that Leviathan is dead,

And now…you kill Mammon as well?

Heh, then I'll make sure you pay.

I'll make sure to kill everyone else."

Lluming's mouth dropped upon seeing the newcomer.

In all his glory, it was none other than Lucifer.

But something felt undeniably odd,

His hair were tipped with the color of salmon.

Michael gritted his teeth.

So the information, Selaphiel's summon had sent,

They were all real.

He could still recall seeing the butterfly roaming about as he and Mammon fight,

Warning him in advance, of Lucifer's plans.

Michael quickly telepathically ordered everyone to open their barriers,

Just in case they run out of the circling fire.

Lucifer brought in armies, specifically made to kill angels.

And if they weren't too careful, they'd end up dead as he predicted.

More so, Lucifer snapped his fingers at what he sees as Azazel,

"Come on now, release your army as well."

Eligorr smiled and blew a small summoning whistle,

Which released twice the number of beasts.

Gabriel paled seeing the number,

The beasts can teleport, cast barriers and fly.

How could they possibly defeat such species?

Eligorr smiled secretly,

"I doubt even lord Lucifer could handle them."

Asmodeus quickly looked at Sellena,

"You must go away, this isn't the fight for you,"

"But where else would I be?"

"Anywhere, but here."

*earlier*

(near the safetower)

Haborym saw a blinding orb of light, hover on his shoulder,

And with it, a voice calling over.

It felt sweet, mesmerizing,

But the words along it, made the encounter saddening.

"I have fought for everyone, who wanted peace and calm,

And you must fight for them, now that I am gone.

I, Barachiel, bestow you the torch of responsibility,

Have patience, be kind,

You will do good things with my abilities.

I, have fought the good fight,

And done with my duties, may God be on your side."

The orb of light then quickly dissolved on his arm,

Making Haborym jump up in shock.

He felt his body, feel suddenly warm.

A new surge of powers, entering his lungs.

A different voice then told him to reunite with Humility,

Who got stuck on a place, where Azazel's monsters hunts their meal.

Haborym quickly remembered 155 was with them,

And felt the quick need, to follow ahead.

He was still shock, even as he morph into a bird,

Searching for the people he was told.

An archangel, giving a former duke of hell his blessings?

Are the choices that scarce? Or was it just his feeling?

Haborym, had never felt this undeserving.

.

.

.

"I'm so scared to use what Haborym gave me,

Explosions might just attract more enemy,"

155 admitted as she hide behind Sabrina,

Whose body, was completely soaked in water.

She sighed since her hair couldn't stretch longer,

The water on the pond they found, isn't so better.

"There's a river ahead, we need to move,"

"But there's more monsters there, I just finished this group."

"I know more are coming, reaper,

Can't you see the fishes are still swimming uncomfortably?

I'm just saying we have more chances if we reach the river,

With that much water, I can defend us, even from flying monsters."

155 saw a beast suddenly creep towards them,

And out of impulse, she threw one chemical on its head.

Humility quickly dodged and felt shocked when he dulled his senses.

"I really am, already at a low health."

The monster soon burned and got killed.

It was only small compared to others, but has the ability to blend it.

Still, it felt a wonder how Humility failed to detect its aura,

It was so near,

"I'm afraid I'm getting weaker."

"No, it may not be because you're losing your senses,

I've heard of the capabilities of Azazel.

With his whole life dedicated to messing with biology,

It would not be a surprise if he made a monster with that type of specialty.

Didn't you observed the monsters you fought before?

They could make barriers, even teleport.

Their only flaw was their lack of tactic and prediction.

Without your experience, we may have lost."

Humility smiles at Sabrina's remark,

But when 155 pointed at something move again,

He quickly looked at his back.

A huge eyeless monster, five times his size,

Looks at him with hunger, and got ready to attack.

155 quickly threw some chemicals in panic,

But the beast was quick enough, not to get hit.

She muffled her own mouth as not to shout,

While Sabrina attempted, to choke it out.

Humility tried to fight the beast as well,

But whatever they do, it moves faster than them.

It runs in four, and stands up from time to time,

Trying to grab one of them, which Sabrina doesn't let.

Its presence soon managed to distract them-

From a camouflaging beast, swimming on the water.

It did not hesitated, to grab the weakest prey,

Which was 155, who failed to run away.

"Oh great! I should have never tried to escape!

No matter what! I'm the unlucky one on any place!

F*ck you, you fish-smelling beast!

Just when I thought, I had a chance, at least!"

Humility tried to rescue her while Sabrina guards his back,

But before they do it, something approached quite fast."

How Humility prayed it was not a beast,

Or else he'll be screwed if Haborym finds out of her fate.

His heart pulse increased rapidly, as he confirms what happened.

Haborym's forgiveness, felt too far to be given.

His worry soon washed away when he saw Haborym, himself.

Who worriedly try to calm down his lady's distress.

The woman was still shaking in utter fear,

Clinging to Haborym, as she cry in disbelief.

"Don't worry now, I'm here."

He whispered softly, hoping she could hear.

"I was so scared, that stupid thing almost got me,"

"It's dead now, no need to worry."

Sabrina smiles looking at the two reunite.

But upon seeing the couple,

A tragic memory came surfacing back.

Humility quickly checks if she's alright,

But she was frozen in place, no reply.

"Did something happened?

Are you alright?"

But the true state of her mind,

Was revealed in her eyes.

Her black eyes quickly leaked its tears,

As she tried to wipe them down,

Not wanting her weakness appear.

"I…we, we need to keep going.

We should go to the river,

Clear the ways for the survivors.

The monsters are there, and so what?

There's a damn lot of them everywhere.

If I get to that water area,

I'll make sure to kill them all for sure."

Humility felt uncomfortable of the hate she gives,

But did not dare disagreed.

She might have her own reasons she fell to darkness.

She might have…by the looks of it, been cheated.

Humility pat her shoulder,

And told Haborym and the others to continue.

Sabrina sniffed and tried to compose herself,

After all, emotions do not do her well.

"Sabrina. Are you really okay?"

155 asked, as she looked at her eyes.

She only smiled and brushed her off.

"Don't mind me. Focus."

"Haborym, how are you that fast?

You looked blurry in my vision."

"The real reason…well, it's quite sad.

Barachiel…he, he died."

Humility felt his purplish eyes lower,

He knew it would come sooner.

Death, is always reeking every war.

But knowing it had finally come,

Was still quite sad.

"He was a very good friend.

It's a loss he had to end this way."

"I shouldn't have joined Lucifer those years ago,

I, really..shouldn't have let him, manipulate me so,"

Humility looked above, deep in thoughts,

Remembering comrades, he had painfully lost.

He crumpled his fists as he looks at him again,

"And yet the current, wouldn't have happened if the past did change."

Haborym smiles, but it soon faded away,

Seeing an even bigger threat, come their way.

"Oh, comeon!" 155, couldn't help but complain.

Humility pursed his lips,

And couldn't help but think,

If there's still a future waiting for them,

Or perhaps,

It ran out of ink.
