Chapter 11 - Why is it so hard to find a decent employer?
"Here's where you will work maggot!" Marc was told by his new boss. After being interviewed, he got the job after showing how he could lift a stone about the same size as himself. Normally people would need tools to move it but Marc did it without, that's the reason he got the job.
He wasn't the only one getting the job though. The angry man from before also got the job as they needed more manpower. In all, Calcul-Stone Company employed 10 new workers.
"Listen up, all the stones that are already cut out have to be taken down the mountain and stacked tight. I will show you how to use the tools twice, so look carefully or you won't get paid. First, you use this tool to…And then…" The boss then proceeded to explain how to use the various tools to make the job easier, but Marc paid it no mind and sneakily went up the mountain without anyone seeing it.
When he reached the stone site where people used magic to cut the stones out of the mountain in various shapes before moving them away so they won't hinder their work.
"Ey, are these the stones that have to be moved down the mountain?" Marc asked one of the cutters.
"Yea, you are free to take them. But be careful, they are really heavy!" Said the cutter and warned Marc, though it went through one ear and out of the other.
Marc looked at all the stones that have to be moved. Some of them are even higher than Rofta and weigh more than 500kg. "It would take forever if they have to lifted down the mountain…" Marc was already tired of working before he even began, and if he listened to the boss' explanation, he would have learned that they roll the stones down on logs. But alas he didn't.
After thinking hard about a quick way to finish this work and get his money. He suddenly found the solution "I got it! Let's just do this-"
*PA…!!!"
*PA…!!!"
*PA…!!!"
Marc activated his Paw Magic and began slapping the stones, sending them flying down the mountain one after another.

"After grabbing the tool with your left hand, you bind the rope around the stone and pull the stone as you move the logs to the front in a quick formation." The boss was still in the middle of explaining how to move the stones efficiently when-
*Shush*
The wind began whistling in a high volume.
"What's that sound? I never heard that before…" Thought the boss to himself with a pondering expression before some yelled something.
"Something is flying in the sky!" yelled one of the new workers while pointing to the sky.
"Is it a wyvern attack again? " Thought the boss while looking at a black dot.
"Is that….A stone? Who the fuck has the nerves to throw my precious stones? I'm going to beat the culprit black and blue when I get my hands on him…" The boss got angry when he saw his stones being sent flying in the sky.
"All maggots get behind me right now!!" The boss ordered all the new workers to get behind him so he can protect them. Before the boss touched the stone pavement they are standing on, then he released his Magic Power and yelled "Stone Arms". Suddenly the ground began growing big stone hands.
"Nobody moves or I can't guarantee your safety!" The boss yelled before he began catching all the stones with his Stone Magic. That was before the speed of the stones coming suddenly increased.
"Shit, is somebody trying to ruin my Calcul-Stone Company? Bring it on!" The boss' spirit increased, not wanting to lose. Before he began releasing more of his Magic Power and growing more stone arms out of the ground.

"Gyahahaa, this is actually pretty funny, and I can train my control of my Paw Magic with this. That's two birds with one shot right there." Marc laughed because of the fun he's having while slapping stone after stone.
"I think I can go even quicker. But my aim will be a little off I think, oh well let's just give it a try anyway." Marc decided to speed up his work and go even quicker. He ran all over the place and touched stone after stone. Just like when you give multiple high fives after scoring a goal in football.
*PA…!!!"
*PA…!!!"
*PA…!!!"

"Goddammit!! The radius the stones will land is getting wider and faster. I can't keep this up." The boss is barely keeping off with Marc's new pace.
"Bang*
A stone got through one of his stone hands and hit the ground.
"Nooo!!! My lovely stone pavement…" Yelled the boss in grief and lost his focus for a split second.
*Bang**Bang*
And two more stones hit the ground, ruining the boss's pavement further.
"Now I'm angry!! Stone Giant," the boss said before an 8-meter high half-giant made of stone grew out of the ground and began punching the incoming stones to smithereens, not caring about saving them anymore.
"Bring it on!!" Yelled the boss again.

"Is that a giant? There should be no giants in Fairy Tail to my knowledge…The hell!? Now it's ruining my work. Fuck see how I deal with you…" At first Marc was surprised to see a giant in the distance. That's when he saw it began destroying the stones he's moving down the mountain.
*PA…!!!**PA…!!!**PA…!!!**PA…!!!*
Marc began sending the stones flying straight against the giant, without any stones flying in a curve as he did before. No more golf shots, it's cannon shots now.
"Take this, and this, and this, and this, also this one…"
"Eh? There are no stones left!?" After repelling stone after another, Marc had no ammo left.
"Ahh man, and it was just getting fun…" Marc said before falling on his knees, disappointed that he can't 'work' anymore.
"Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk, let's just go get my pay." Marc quickly got over it and slowly walked down the mountain, unaware that all the nearby stone cutters watched Marc sending stones flying with open mouths in shock.

*Huff**Huff*
The boss was breathing a little heavy, after dispelling his stone giant when he saw the stones stopped coming. Then he looked around his newly made pavement he just made weeks ago, which is now ruined by small craters with stones in it all over the place.
"My beautiful pavement…" The boss cried out with small tears threatening to drop before looking up the mountain where a little figure is walking down.
"Was he the one who sent those stones flying? That little shit!!"

I took my time walking down the mountain after all that hard work. I'm really looking forward to getting my money, after all, there's nothing better than getting your own hard-earned money.
When I got down the mountain I looked around, and like I thought my aim was a little off. The stones are spread all over the place, well I guess the other new workers should do some work too by gathering them after all, I did just do all the hard work. Can't have me do all the work myself.
But why is the boss looking so angry? Must be some new worker who didn't listen to him and he got angry.
"Yo boss, I moved all the stones down the mountain as you wanted," I told the boss with an expression that said "praise me" and a raised hand in greeting.
"So it was you what sent all these stones flying down the mountain?" Seems like the boss wants to make sure I was the one doing all this brilliant work.
"Of course it was me! I worked so hard you should consider giving me a raise. I did after all just do 99% of these guys' work!" I told the boss while pointing at the other new workers, trying to earn a little extra money. More money equals more food.
"I'm going to murder you, you little shit!" But it seems like this boss didn't appreciate my hard work at all. Instead, he got angry and began shaking me like a madman.
Why is it so hard to find a decent employer?

"Did you feel that shaking too, Genno?" Asked Rofta who's looking at swords with the knight Genno.
"Yes, I felt it too. I just hope an accident hasn't happened at the stone site!" Answered Genno with worry in his voice.
"Does tremors often happen here?" Rofta wanted to confirm something.
"No, In fact, it almost never happens. If we were under attack, people would be screaming and running around for life. So I wonder what's happening?"
"Don't think about it any further…Don't…You too, have no idea what's going on! You really don't!" Rofta repeated in his mind, not wanting to be involved in what's likely Marc's doing.
