The Lazy One

Is laziness a sin? Is comfort a sin? Is being disinterested a sin?

It was a grand day, for the heavens would reunite.

It was the marriage of Hera and Zeus.

The future king and queen of Olympus have arranged a mighty wedding.

Everyone was invited.

Everyone was expected to arrive.

Hermes was making sure that all the gods and nymphs arrived at the wedding.

Hermes now arrived at a lake, where Khelone was napping.

" Make sure that you don't forget " said the messenger, as he ran to the next person.

Khelone did not answer, she merely went from napping to sleeping.

Hermes smiled, as the wedding was coming to a close.

" Hermes? "

" Yes, my queen? "

" I did not see Khelone among the visitors "

Hermes felt a cold chill down his spine.

" Forgive me… "

Hera smiled a mother's smile.

" It doesn't matter. You are forgiven "

Hera may have forgiven Hermes, but Hermes had not forgiven the lazy nymph.

Hermes looked on, as Khelone was comfortably asleep.

Hermes smirked at Khelone's smile.

" Very well, oh you lazy one. If you enjoy sleep that much, then allow me to make it so that you can sleep anywhere, at anytime "

Hermes now picked up Khelone's home.

Both nymph and house sank into the water.

When Khelone came out of the water, she was transformed into a tortoise.

The nymph lamented her current state.

She could not enjoy sleep, for she was too angry to rest. She was too hateful to nap.

She was once a beautiful nymph… and behold what she was reduced to.

Khelone sought revenge, she sought power.

Which is why she sought out the Good Doctor.

Nork granted Khelone what she so desperately desired.

Afterwards.

Many ships vanished from the surface of the sea.

There were talks about a massive and monstrous creature sinking both ship and crew - there were never any survivors.

The Queen of Atlantis was on the job. For the seas were her domain.

Winona could feel that there was anger within the waters.

She asked her companions as to what had happened.

" She is seeking revenge, " said a clever dolphin.

" Who? "

" The once lazy one "

The dolphin thanked Winona for the fish, and Winona thanked the dolphin for the information.

Riding on the back of a Killer Whale. Winona made her way to the spot where the creature was last seen.

" Where is she? " said the Queen to herself.

Winona now noticed something colossal within the dark waters.

A second later.

Khelone came bursting out from the water.

" Woah… " uttered the Queen of Atlantis in amazement and disbelief.

Khelone was as big as the turtle which holds the discworld.

She was a monstrous tortoise.

Thunder echoed as Khelone roared.

Winona decided to fight monster with monster.

She held her trident hight, as she yelled;

" Dagon! "

Khelone looked on, as from the abyssal waters rose the Lovecraftian version of Dagon - who was Winona's faithful companion.

Lightning flashed, as these two colossal titans did battle.

Dagon was able to subdue Khelone, and Winona used her trident's powerful and ancient magic to turn Khelone back - not into a tortoise, but back into a beautiful nymph.

Khelone became a loyal and grateful companion to Winona, and she would aid the Queen of Atlantis in many adventures to come.
