Sports Festival

Brimmed with visitors and booths, the entrance to the UA sports festival stadium was jam packed. Pro heroes and normal civilians can be seen wondering around getting amped up by the soon to be starting match as they ordered snacks and bought fan merch of their favourite heroes.

But in the waiting rooms was a whole other environment. Every student was getting really nervous for the match and that was no exception for class 1-A. You sat in your seat nervously shaking your feet as you imagined the up coming match. "Izuku, I am clearly better than you. But All Might has his eyes on you doesn't he?" Shoto suddenly broke the silence as he walked towards Midoriya. Suddenly the once silent atmosphere was replaced by a tensed one. Everyone stared silently at the two as they conversed wondering what was going on. 'Is Shoto very stressed out?' You analysed him hoping to solve your question. "I will beat you and win this festival. Just because we are classmates I will not be going easy on all of you." Shoto said the last sentence looking at the class. His hostile eye contact with you made you frown slightly but you agreed that it was a festival and it was a competition so no one should be let off easy.

As the classes started to gather into the stadium, audiences cheered wildly, making you slightly nervous. After introduction by Midnight sensei, Bakugo walked onto the stage to say his speech as he got the highest score for the entrance exam. "I am going to win. You extras are just stepping stones for me!" He said cockily as he showed a thumbs down. All the students started to boo at him while 1A looked at him embarrassingly. 'Welp, guess our class now looks like a bunch of a-holes.' You sighed to yourself.

When the games were announced, everyone stood in running stance at the entrance of the path to the obstacle race. You could see students quivering with fear which only made you smirk and feel more confident. Just as the starting alarm rang, you paused the students and dash forward. "There goes class 1A l/n! An instant upper hand for that girl with such an extraordinary quirk. Pausing her schools mates without pity, so fierce!" Present Mic commented enthusiastically causing you to roll your eyes. Just as you were about to move to the next sector giant robots appeared in front of you causing you to stop. 'So this is what the entrance exam was like.' Smirking you placed your attention onto the robots, unpausing the students so that you were not using up to much energy. You glided through the robots pausing them whenever they tried to attack you. As you finally weaved through the robots you felt a sudden chill. You looked behind you to see Shoto catching up, '"tch".

You quickened your pace and reached the next sector. Multiple thin strings secured between tall rock pillars that leads to a deep down fall. With only the thin strings as your source of getting through, you felt blessed to have been forced to take up gymnastics at your agency. You quickly yet gracefully ran on the strings reaching the other end. Suddenly, you surroundings felt cold immediately and you saw Shoto on your right. 'Not so fast sweetheart.' You smirked and paused him and anyone of close proximity allowing yourself to take the lead. Once you were at a comfortable distance from the rest, you unpaused them and focused on the mine field in front of you.

Only taking seconds to come up with the plan to pause any mine which you might step on. Giving you two advantages of not being blown away and blowing away anyone behind you. You rushed forward not caring about the competitors anymore and only about reaching the end. Just as you were about to reach the end of the mine field you heard a loud explosion go off. 'Someone set off more than one mine at once, what's happening?' You quickly glanced back to see Midoriya fly. 'flying?!' on a metal shield landing between Shoto and Bakugo before propelling himself forward using them to get ahead. As he reached your side and with Bakugo and Shoto so near to you decided to pause them one last time to get a definite win.

However just as you reached the finishing line, you paused. Allowing yourself to be seen by the audiences and Present Mic you smirked and unpaused the three boys, allowing them to rush forward before following behind them. "Huh, l/n could have won this clearly but she seems to have allowed the other boys to win it. Has she seen through our cover?" Present Mic commented nervously. You looked towards the announcement box and smiled at him before winking. 'People are so blinded to just win and be the best. The last time there was a obstacle race the winner suffered a huge disadvantage, I'm not taking that risk.' As Shoto and Midoriya looked at you curiously, wondering why you let them go first, Bakugo looked like he could murder you for going easy on him.

As the other students started to rush in you felt your breathing slow down slightly. 'Damn, maybe I used too much of my quirk just now.' You stabled yourself and slowly took in deep breaths to recover.

Just as you had suspected, Midoriya had 10,000,000 points on his head. As the earliest 42 students start to gather into teams, you saw Shoto walking towards you. But before he reached you, you felt someone tap on your shoulder. You turned to your left to see class 1B students, Tetsutetsu, Honenuki and Awase and happily agreed to their invite. You Shoto wanted you on his team but to stand out in the crowd you couldn't team up with him. You turned you head back to Shoto stuck out you tongue and waved goody at him. Seeing your actions he looked at you shockingly before smile to himself, he knew what you were doing and felt proud that you decided to do so. Just before the game started, your team came up with game plans to win this game.
