Sports Festival II

Off went the starting alarm. You were sitting at the top as the other three boys supported you from below. Just as immediate as the alarm rang you saw Shoto freezing up the other competitors and taking their headbands. You paused his ice not allowing your team to be freezed up while slowing his team down as they ran by pushing his hands away from you, blocking his advances.

You needed to wait, wait for the perfect time to strike. So while you watched others go on offense, you and your team were on defense. Just as the stop watch was counting down your team switched course and went on offense running towards the main three groups.

"10, 9, 8..." Just as your team reached the other three you paused all of them and stole the 10,000,000 headband from Shoto. I mean you still wanted them to advance into the next round but wanted to take the lead in this game for you and your team.

"Bringgggg," the alarm went off. The game was over. You unpaused the rest and celebrated with your team for the win. You looked over to see the others and caught Shoto's disappointed face. You felt bad but after all it was a battle.

As the top 4 teams moved forward, there was a short segment for the remaining 16 competitor to rest. You walked over to your friends and congratulated them for moving on or comforted them for not being able to. "y/n even though we are friends just know that I will definitely not hold back in the finals," Shoto said calmly as he walked by you. You turned your head, giving him smirk, "Bring it on.".

As the duels began, you sat at the seats designated for class 1A and talked to your girl friends who have just embarrassed themselves by being tricked into wearing cheer outfits. Luckily, you were a hard head and nothing was going to convince you to wear those. " If only l/n changed too. We would have been able to see her boo..." Mineta said pervertingly before having ice freeze over his mouth by Shoto. You looked at Shoto warmly and smiled before kicking Mineta at the area that hurts. 'Pervert.'

Not long after it was your turn to battle Kaminari. You walked onto the battle field cracking your knuckles. "No hard feelings l/n but I am gonna shock you before you can do anything," Kaminari smirked while getting into fighting stance. You just giggled to yourself at how naive he was. Just as Midnight started the match you paused his body and slowly walked to him. He looked at you shocked by how fast you were able to pause him. "You tricked the girls along with Mineta right?" You asked innocently while fluttering eyes as you walked closer. "Ummm. ah... you see the thing is tha..." Before he could finish his sentence to defend himself you kicked him in the balls and stared at him in disgust. You paused his face of agony and punched him in the face causing him to pass out. "L/n moves on to the next round!" Midnight announced while whipping her whip. 'Perverting idiots.'

As you waited for the quarter-finals the last match between Ochako and Bakugo made you really worried for her. Especially when you saw her faint and be carried off. You left your seat and quickly rushed to go find her. Just as you were about to turn a corner you heard Endeavor talking to Midoriya. 'Endeavor!' Your eyes twitched just thinking of him. When he was done talking to Midoriya you walked out from your spot to talk to Endeavor. "You're as shitty as they come you know," you spitted out. "Ah l/n I saw your fight you are very powerful but just now that my Shoto is going to beat all of y'all including All Might." He said boastfully. 'This guy knows no limits!' "One child wasn't enough was it now you want to make it two?" You questioned him spitefully as you pushed past him to find Ochako.

Just as you were about to open the door you heard her talking to Midoriya, who you predicted she had I crush on. 'If she is okay enough to talk to him she should be fine. Thankfully.' As you sat watching Shoto's match with Midoriya, Shoto suddenly became very mad and finally used his left side. 'Fire.' You stared at him in awe as he defeated Midoriya with both quirks. As Shoto won you heard Endeavor praising Shoto for accepting his left side, making you extremely agitated. You swore that if you were standing next to him right now you would have walked him to Mars.

After cleaning up the battle ground it was your turn against Iida now. This match was all about speed, you needed to pause him before he pushes you out. Iida knew that you are quick but he also knew that you were starting to get tired and he wasn't wrong. All the using of your quirk was finally getting to you and your heartbeat was slowly becoming slower. Just as Midnight blew the alarm Iida came rush you realised and paused him as soon as possible. When he paused you realised that if you paused him any later he would have pushed you out. You cursed at your weak stamina as he dragged him out of bounds. Advancing yourself forward.

You mentally punished yourself for your weakness as you sat in the waiting room. You eyes the couch a distance away from you and decided to take a nap to regain some strength. As you drifted off to sleep you were unaware of a certain half&half who walked into the waiting room to see you sleeping peacefully. He walked towards you and bend down to have a good look at you face. You mumbled something about cheesecake and smiled to yourself. Shoto couldn't help but softly laugh at your unconscious state and smiled gently as he pushed back some of your hair so that it would stop tickling you.

Just as you woke up from your slumber due to the sound of multiple explosions, you noticed that the next match would be between Tokoyami and you. You quickly sat back up feeling energised, stretching your arms you headed out, ready for the semis.

"Go!" Midnight shouted. You wanted to have some fun instead of a instant win to showcase your other skills like combat. So instead of pausing Tokoyami and Dark shadow immediately, you played around with them. You advance around Dark shadow avoiding him to fight with Tokoyami after getting a few good hits at him and yourself you decided to end this finally and paused him. "I had fun," you said happily to him before knocking him out by the back of his neck.

You were happy to get some bruises it made you feel alive. You sat there anticipating an amazing match where Shoto would beat Bakugo with both quirks however, just as he stepped on to the battlefield you knew immediately something was off. He looked down, almost like he was doubting. 'This isn't going to end well.' You prayed that he wouldn't receive any horrible injuries as you knew who wasn't gonna give his all. Bakugo seemed to have trusted that Shoto was all in however, at the very last minute Shoto just stopped and allowed himself to be blasted out of bounds by Bakugo. 'He's really mad.' You almost thought that Shoto would break at how vigorously Bakugo was shaking him luckily Midnight interfered and made Bakugo pass out.

After a short break to wake Bakugo up, both of you got ready on the battlefield to duel it out. "Don't go easy on me again. I have had enough of that today already first you then Hot&Cold, you better not. Understand?!" Bakugo screeched at you. Since you have trained with him, he knew what was you maximum potential. "I won't porcupine, come at me." You said sinisterly. The fight was intense, it could have been easy but you wanted to show your potential. Instead of pausing him immediately, you paused parts of him at certain times during the combat. Not only cause you wanted to show off but also due to the fact that you were starting to get breathless and it was all you could master. Finally when your back reached the boundary line, you turned around, pausing Bakugo's hands and feet while doing a back flip over him and using your legs to push him out of bounds.

The audiences cheered for your victory and you smiled at them weakly while you waved your hands. Shoto who has woken up from his concussion saw how weak you smile was and knew you were reaching your limit. He quickly raced down to the battlefield to support you before you tumbled over. You looked up to the feeling of two arms steadying your body. "Shoto," you whispered happily. "You did great," he praised you while ruffling your hair.

At the end of the festival All Might have out the medals to the winners - 3rd Shoto (He beat Tokoyami), 2nd Bakugo, 1st y/n. You felt extremely proud of your accomplishment and took the medal with pride.

As everyone started to pack up to leave and go home for a two day break from school, your friends praised you repeatedly for your win and skills. Even your teammates from Calvary battle went over to congratulate you. Thanking them happily you walked out of school anticipating for a nice warm bath and a lazy two day break. You would have wanted to walk home with a friend however, Shoto was held back by his father, Bakugo was feeling too salty to walk home with you and you didn't want to bother Midoriya and Ochako.

Just as you opened your door you noticed a card by the door step in your house. 'The agency better be paying for my rent.' You picked up the card to see that there was a printing of a flower field and at the back of the card stated:

I always knew you would go up to become the best. Just like how you always stated.

Your breath got caught in your throat as you looked at the card. A single tear dropped into the card as you read the last word again, 'Dabi?'
