(Bonus) Vritra

Vritra is the evil serpent or dragon demon god mentioned in the Rigveda and Mahābhārata. Its name means "barrier" and is said to have the power to block water and cause dryness. It was Lord Indra who defeated the Vritra and released the waters. The Vritra are always depicted as enemies of Indra, and the conflict between the two mythically recurs many times. Another name for Indra, Vritrahan, means "one who kills Vritra".

He was a species of dragon that embodied the concept of "flaw" itself. The things that block the world. As a Servant, he had been reduced to his human form.

Often referred to as an evil god who brings drought, sometimes interpreted as a "winter giant". The Vritra concept embodies a "waterless (obstructed) situation", such as a harsh winter. It is Lord Indra who embodies "a situation where rain falls as a blessing".

He who takes on a female form has 2 possibilities. The first is to imitate Rambha, the second is not to be deceived by Indra again.

Indra sent a beautiful apsara named Rambha to Vritra. Rambha is so beautiful that Vritra immediately falls in love with her, and even proposes right away. Rambha agrees as long as Vritra must always do exactly as she says. Vritra accepts this condition. After few days, Rambha asks Vritra to have some wine. Vritra hesitated because drinking wine was forbidden for the son of a Brahmin. However, Rambha insisted. Vritra fell unconscious as soon as she drank the wine. Indra who was waiting for this opportunity came and killed Vritra.

Of course, it's painful for humans to stop important things, like water. Because Vritra got in his way, he was called an evil dragon. However, in fact the world needs it (termination) too. Like the release of a dam, like the breath of a spring bud, there is something in this world whose "momentum must be stopped first". "Evolution always waits after overcoming obstacles" and "obstacles which are an essential evil for evolution" are actually what Vritra really controls.

Vritra was happy to see humans, or the world itself, grow up to overcome the difficulties and obstacles that he had prepared. The Vritra set up obstacles that even looked like absolute evil, but not because they wanted humans to become extinct. He just wanted to see a more formidable future, a tougher world, and a tougher human race. In other words, he is a sadist towards the world.

Ganesha was originally a god of disability, but now, as a result of his belief, has largely become a "god of luck that removes obstacles." Vritra is not like that, he remains steadfast in being the "cause of failure". There's nothing sweet in the action. No mercy. However, he just wants to enjoy himself as much as he can as he watches the world overcome him, growing up.

The weapon he was carrying was the same Vajra stuck in his mouth when Indra killed him. However, like Kama, it is unknown if that includes their NP.

= 33.61%

He can also Arts chain via NPAA. Assume the enemy is still 3, so:

NP + Arts + Arts + Extra

= 52.36%

In normal chain, Vritra is better than Fionn. However, Fionn is superior in refilling via NP.

For stargen, his best chain is QBQEx. With stargen 12.2%, Buster up 10% from passive, assuming neither crit nor overkill, it becomes:

NOBLE PHANTASM

Rank: EX

Classification: Anti-World

Hit-counts: 3

Range: 9~99

Maximum number of targets: 1000 people

Effect: Deals damage (NP1 450%) to all enemies + Seal their skills for 1 turn + Reduces their critical attack chance by 20% for 3 turns.

Overcharge Effect: Reduces their Arts resistance (10~30% depending on OC) for 3 turns.

"I'm Vritra. The one who covers this world's heaven and earth. Gather O' Asuras, demonic troops who are my flesh. Separated by that logic, cover all of creation! Asurashresta"

- Lancer

Asurashreshtha is Vritra's NP. An NP that bears the nickname of Vritra as "the best among the Asuras".

Using the jinn or demon army which is a separate body from himself, he covers the heavens and the earth according to their respective meanings and isolates the place. As a "mountain" in the tradition that "Vritra traps water in the mountain with its own body" is also interpreted as "cloud", this NP form is like an ominous cloud covering the world.

Vritra is said to be an evil dragon as well as an asura (demon), and is also known as Asurandra (King of Asuras).

In the Mahābhārata, there are depictions of Indra's deities suffering from great demon armies such as Kalakeya and Lakshasa led by the Vritra, thus not only the authority to "block something", but also an army of pure violence. Vritra can do it.

His extra attack is probably a small version of this NP/no real name release.

For the calculation of damage, we collect data first. With stat atk 13332 at level 90 (already 1000 Fou), NP1 450%, Arts up 30% from skill 1 level 10, NP dmg up 20% from skill 3 level 10, base multiplier 1.05x, it's around 22,602.14/ enemies. That much damage puts him above Nezha. With skill 2, Vritra can also deal additional damage to Divine enemies, making it 28,252.67/enemy. Is it good? No, even to Divine he still loses to normal Karna (not to Divine). The AoE Arts competition in the Lancer class is quite fierce. Vritra is slightly superior to Fionn and Lambda in terms of damage, but slightly inferior in loop ability.

ACTIVE SKILL

There is no explanation as to whether his Vajra counts as NP or not.

For gameplay, this skill makes the NP gain and damage of his Arts card increase. This skill also increases the star absorb for Arts for 1 turn, helping to gain NP gain and damage.

A.k.a Fated Enemy of God, is a skill that describes the role of Vritra that never changes even though there are various versions. A skill that indicated an existence that was fundamentally opposed to a god, an unchanging position and the meaning of its existence.

For gameplay, this skill gives the Anti-Divine party, making it countable even though it is not competitive with other Anti-Divine Lancers. This skill also allows him to directly NP when given a starter NP.

Cooldown: 9/8/7

Even if he lost to Indra, the Vritra would be revived from time to time and would start the struggle against the gods again. A skill that exhibits immortality and immortality repeats, which can be likened to natural phenomena.

The conflict between "Vritra, who blocks water (brings drought or traps it in clouds and mountains)" and "Indra, who releases it in thunderstorms," is not a one-time event, but has been repeated for a long time. Yes, and it will last forever into the future. It is also a primitive belief in nature and gods. Vritra reigns as an immortal demon with the exact same power that makes humans admire gods.

For gameplay, this skill makes it more durable with its guts. This skill also helps in loops because it gives him an NP charge every turn for 5 turns. For NP dmg up, it's a shame it's only used once.

Its reason, even now, still continues to rise.

What exists there is ice and snow.

The form dammed by water which was taken away.

What exists there is shadow and darkness.

The silhouette of the covered and hidden heaven and earth.

What exists there is silence. An aliby of humans who are neither Gods nor Demons.

However, those things were crushed by the hands of Gods.

Finally.

Or, similar to how it was before.

Namely, it is the indestructible principle that is repeated over and over again for eternity.

Even if the age of Gods ends, and the world of humans arrives, the reason of the dam boundary would be represented by some kind of form just like Gods and Demons.

Being dammed, being released, and then, the world would, once again―――

Conclusion

Vritra, although it is the first SSR AoE Arts Lancer, its performance is not much different from the SR. If between loops or his damage was much higher, he would be the new favourite. He's not bad, it just feels like his kit is still half-assed.
