Jack’s eyes passed from Violet, to Lucinda and finally stopped on Lance.


Violet could feel the atmosphere becoming cold instantly.


Jack was obviously infuriated with her, not only for bringing Lance to their territory, but for not telling him about it.


“Lucinda, take Violet inside.” he stated without looking at Violet.


Lucinda looked at Violet and said sorry as she touched Violet’s shoulder and pulled her forward.


But Violet wasn’t going to let Lance alone with Jack.


Especially not when he was clearly mad.


“I’m not going anywhere, alright?” she shoved Lucinda’s hand from her shoulder. “I told you I was going to meet him again, I’m not doing anything behind your back.” she explained, even though no one asked her to.


He had his sharp eyes fixed on Lance, that was also looking at him expressionless.
