Child of the Sun

She is the daughter of Shams. Which means that she is a child of the sun.

Her name is; Lab, and she first appears in the Arabian Nights.

Lab is very much like Circe and Medea. She is a sorceress, and a very powerful one at that.

Like the sun, Lab is fair and bright.

Her beauty is bright as the sun. Her features are fair like the sun's.

And like the color of the sun, her hair is of a golden color.

Men, and some women, can not resist Lab. But. Lab does not use her beauty as an advantage. She prefers to use intelligence and wit.

She is clever like Circe, and powerful like Medea.

Lab sits within a bar; all eyes were upon her exquisite body.

" Bartender " said Lab with a soothing and silky voice; " please, bring me another drink "

The bartender had to serve two others, but when Lab asked; the bartender ignored the two other customers.

" Here you go, my fair lady " said the bartender with a smile, as he served the drink.

" Thank you, " said Lab with a nod.

Lab's eyes made the poor bartender weak - they were too overwhelming; in terms of beauty.

" Did you hear? "

Lab now heightened her sense of hearing.

" Yeah… " said the stranger with a sigh; " I can't believe it… Olgoi-Khorkhoi is awake "

Lab's eyes widened, as she recognized that name.

" Greetings " said Lab, as she took a seat at the men's table.

Both men tried to keep it together, for the living beauty which was Lab was too much for the two poor men to bear.

But. As stated before, Lab prefers; brain over beauty.

Lab exited the bar, as she had the information she wanted.

The child of the sun was on a mission. She wanted to end the terror; which was The Mongolian Death Worm… and its children.

Lab looked up at her mother - the sun.

She smiled, as she could feel her mother's warmth and love.

" Let us do this, " said Lab with an excited smile.

" Teacher! " yelled an excited voice.

A soft and warm smile appeared on Lab's face, as she noticed the small boy.

The boy now hugged Lab's legs.

" Have you been behaving well, Medus? " said Lab.

The child nodded.

" Are we going on an adventure, teacher? " asked Medus with excited eyes.

Lab softly giggled.

" We are "

Teacher and student could both be seen walking towards the sunset.

Lab and Medus had both reached the vast and exquisite city, Palmyra.

The place was busy, while maintaining its beauty.

" Woah… " uttered Medus with child-like-awe.

" Don't get used to it " said Lab with a smile; " we are only passing through "

A ball now stopped at Medus' feet.

" Hey! " yelled one of the kids; " kick it back! "

Medus picked up the ball. He then looked back at Lab.

" Go, " said Lab with a motherly smile.

An excited smile could be seen on the face of the student, as he ran towards the other kids.

While Medus played, Lab could be seen walking into a store.

" What does the fair lady fancy? " asked the shopkeep.

" I am looking for people with magical hands, " said Lab with a smile.

The shopkeep giggled.

" What kind of magical hands? " he asked.

Lab leaned closer to the shopkeeper, she then said;

" A man who can turn things into silver; with a mere touch "

A horrified look befell the poor shopkeep.

" I… I know no such man… " stameret the shopkeeper.

Lab looked at the items in the store.

" You have a lot of silver - Lab paused with a smile - which is odd, since this city is more famous for its wealth of gold "

The shopkeeper was about to make a move, but that was when Lab held him in place; by using her magic.

" I… I don't want any trouble… " stameret the shopkeeper, once more.

" All I want to know is; where can I find King Hartapu? "

" Teacher! " exclaimed Medus, as Lab walked out of the store.

" Did you have fun? " asked Lab, as she noticed the happy smile on her student.

" I did! "

Lab giggled, as she patted Medus on the head.

" Come on "

" Where are we going? "

Lab had a smirk on her face, as she said;

" We are going to find the King - with the silver touch "

It was while Lab and Medus were both making their way towards King Hartapu, that they ran into an Indus Worm, a child of Olgoi-khorkhoi.

The creature was frightening, and horrible to look upon.

Poor Medus was covered in sweat. He took a step back, but that was when Lab held him by his shoulders.

" Are you scared? " she asked.

Medus nodded, as the Indus Worm was towering over him.

" Good " said Lab from behind Medus; " but, do not let your fear control you. Embrace it, for it is a survival mechanism "

Lab could feel that there was now; not so much tension in Medus' shoulders.

" Now, use what I have taught you, and beat this overgrown worm "

Lab now gave Medus a little push.

Medus almost fell, but he quickly picked himself up.

The Indus Worm was getting ready to attack, as Medus walked closer and closer.

The worm was about to charge down at Medus.

Medus said some words of power, and that was when the worm charged.

Medus lost his focus and the spell was not properly cast.

Lab was about to come to Medus' aid. But her student managed to get out of harm's way.

Lab breathed a sigh of relief.

" You can do this " said Lab, as she bit her lower lip.

Medus was once more, standing before the Indus Worm.

The adrenaline helped him to focus. He calmed his shaking hands.

Medus looked up at his target.

The Indus Worm came down once more, but this time; Medus was ready.

The spell was cast, and out of thin air appeared a large Nebra Sky Disk, which prevented the Indus Worm from charging down.

Lab had a proud smile on her face, while Medus could be seen with a smile of his own.

Medus now cut the worm's head off, by using a wind-slice.

The adrenaline wore off, as exhausted and shaking Medus fell to his knees - still smiling.

" I had faith in you " said Lab, as she hugged Medus from behind.

Lab now noticed that Medus was asleep.

" Rest, my boy… you have deserved it "

A magic carpet now appeared out from thin air.

And Lab and her student could both be seen on said magic carpet; flying past the dead Indus Worm.

Medus slowly opened his eyes.

He looked around, but he was in a room which he did not recognize.

" Teacher… "

" She is not her "

Medus looked, and the voice had come from one of Lab's sentient and flying Roman Dodecahedrons.

" Where is she? " Medus asked.

" Lady Lab is currently out trying to find King Hartapu "

" Oh… " said Medus, as he felt a little alone.

The Roman Dodecahedron sensed Medus' emotion, which is why it said;

" Worry not, master Medus, for Lady Lab has seen fit to provide you with a friend "

In walked one of Lab's Tecaxic-Calixtlahuaca Head Golems - which are roman-soldier-like-golems.

Medus smiled, as he looked up at his towering friend.

" It seems like, teacher, has provided me with two friends, " said Medus, as he looked at the Roman Dodecahedron.

" I am honored, sir, " said the Dodecahedron, indifferently.

Medus, and his two new friends, could all be seen walking around this new city.

The city was lively, and full of life.

All the people were used to magic and the supernatural, so, no one bat an eye, when Medus walked around with his two friends.

" I wish that teacher was here… " said Medus, as he wanted to explore the city with Lab.

" Lady Lab will join you shortly, just as soon as she has found King Hartapu. For the time being, I am sorry to say it, but you have to make do with our company, master Medus " said the floating Dodecahedron.

Medus giggled.

" Did I say something to amuse you? " asked the confused Dodecahedron.

" You speak as if I do not enjoy your company "

" Do you? "

" Of course, " said Medus with a sincere smile.

Some hours were spent with Medus, and his two friends, going around town; enjoying the splendors of the city.

At some point, Dodecahedron said;

" I am sorry to say it, but there is trouble "

Medus could feel the ground shaking, and he could see that his roman-golem was on edge.

From the middle of the street, came bursting out a large Were-worm; another child of Olgoi-khorkhoi.

All the people ran in fear, as the worm caused destruction.

The roman-golem grabbed Medus, and now started to run to safety.

" I must help them! " exclaimed Medus.

" Forgive me, master Medus, but Lady Lab has made your safety our top priority " said Dodecahedron.

The Were-worm had now set its sights on Medus.

It was about to charge, but that was when it was turned into solid ice.

" Forgive me, my student, but I thought that I should take care of this one "

" Teacher! " exclaimed Medus, joyfully.

Medus now noticed that a stranger was walking beside his teacher.

" This is King Hartapu - the man with the silver touch " said Lab, as she noticed her student's confused look.

Medus also noticed the gloves on the king's hands.

" A pleasure " said King Hartapu, as he shook Medus' hand.

Lab now looked back at the iced Were-worm.

She snapped her fingers, and that was when the whole ice sculpture melted.

The place of the attack was later turned into a well - which got the name; Worm-Well.

Do not let the name put you off. For it is said; that the waters of the Worm-Well are actually quite tasty.

" Where are we going now, teacher? " asked Medus, as he sat on the roman-golem's shoulder.

" We are headed to the lair of Olgoi-khorkhoi "

Medus now looked at King Hartapu.

" What is he doing here? " whispered Medus to Dodecahedron.

" The king is going to help us defeat Olgoi-khorkhoi "

" How? "

" Whatever the king touches; instantly turns into silver "

Medus still did not understand.

" We are here " said Lab, as they had all arrived at the home of the Mongolian Death Worm.

" What now? " asked Medus.

" Now? " said Lab with a smile; " now, you get to enjoy the show "

Lab clapped her hands together.

She now slammed the ground; which caused a small earthquake.

All was quiet for a moment. But another earthquake could now be felt.

Out of the desert sprang forth enormous Olgoi-khorkhoi.

The Mongolian Death Worm is not only BIG(!) but it can also use acid, while having the ability to call down lightning.

Olgoi-khorkhoi cast a vast shadow over the group.

" Woah… " uttered Medus, as fear was in his heart.

" Remember what I said " said Lab, as she turned to her student; " it is alright to be scared, but- "

" Do not let that fear control you " finished Medus.

Lab had a proud smile on her face.

She told her two creations; to protect her student. While she and King Hartapu got down to business.

" I will hold it in place, while you get ready " said Lab.

" How are you going to do that? " asked the king, as he was taking off his gloves.

Lab smiled, as she clapped her hands together.

Out of thin air appeared many small Rahu Cubes.

" What are these going to do? " asked the king, as he looked at the many small cubes - floating in the air.

Lab did not answer, she merely put her cubes to work; by having them all assemble into a giant fist.

The cube-fist now punched Olgoi-khorkhoi.

The creature howled in pain, as King Hartapu had an impressed smile on his face.

Lab wore Olgoi-khorkhoi down by having her cubes assemble into various things.

Lab now noticed that Olgoi-khorkhoi showed signs of exhaustion.

She held the Mongolian Death Worm in place; by using her cubes. She then yelled;

" Now! "

King Hartapu ran towards the head of Olgoi-khorkhoi.

The king managed to make contact, as the worm got free.

Everyone now looked on, as Olgoi-khorkhoi's whole body slowly turned into silver.

The light coming from Lab's mother - could now be seen reflecting off the body of the Mongolian Death Worm.

Lab could now solely focus on teaching her young student, as Olgoi-khorkhoi became quite the attraction.
