"What's wrong with him?" Merci said to Ian while looking over at David. David leaned against the wall of the Chameleon, staring mindlessly as the turbulence shook him up now and then. But he remained unbothered by it.
"I don't know..." Ian later replied, brooding.
"You were the one who brought him to that place," Merci pressed.
"I know, but he wasn't like this," Ian turned around to face her. "He wasn't so...so crazy. He was okay when I left him there...relatively speaking that is. Whatever has happened to him now it's their fault."
"Strange, I only see one person at fault here," Merci looked directly into his eyes.
Ezra and Essen, who were in the pilot's and co-pilot's chair respectively, were too upset and tensed about David to take part in the backseat conversation going on between Merci and Ian. So they kept their heads focused on flying back the Chameleon to the Bunker.
