Chapter 43: Descent Into Madness (Part 2)

They walked a good way in the hallway without saying a single word to each other. The thunder and heavy rainfall outside kept the place alive. They shortly then past the same warder that earlier brought David into the room. The Doctor and he even exchanged a pretty long stare from the corner of their eyes.

All after sudden, David realized he was passing the passageway to his cell door. "Where are we going? I'm not allowed to wander the corridors."

"David, you're not a prisoner," the Doctor said, stopping at an elevator door, which he then opened.

Stretching his hand forth, he kindly asked David to step into the elevator first, which David thereupon did cautiously. The Doctor followed him in and the elevator started to move downwards to the basement.

The basement had a narrow hallway with black and white tiles on the floor. On each side of the hallway were air-tight sealed, transparent glass cells not like the ones above.
