Chapter 71 : : Enan Volt

After a long-lasting discussion that held till midnight, Sanae had to end the conversation due to her tight schedule, though before leaving she handed out her direct contact number to make the trade simpler.

According to the trade, Kale would handover all the spell that came in the inheritance, in exchange, he can get a complete Tier 1 Earth Mage spell set and a Tier 2 Plant spell set, normally speaking it was like trading a random stone for gold, after all, the difference between every tier was like a difference between leagues.

If one had to choose between three Tier 3 Inheritance and one Tier 4 Inheritance of the same type, they would without a doubt choose the latter, but there was a catch, the Tier 2 Plant spell set would belong to Sanae and not any random Plant Mage.

Kale wanted to exchange for her Tier 3 Plant spell set but directly saying it out would be foolish and might make her suspicious, that's why he only mentioned the things he would need now, and left it for her to calculate the value, he could later extract the Tier 3 Pant spell set from her slowly but surely.

Sanae was surprised by his actions, as no one would be foolish enough to leave a Tier 4 Inheritance in someone else's hands like that, his trust in her made her pleased, as a result, she took it on herself to complete the transaction, Kale just had to go to Adventurer's Guild and submit the things to the party that will take the Delivery Mission posted by her.

Kale put his phone to the side and leisurely led on the bed "What an amusing woman, she understands plants like me, tch tch, if there was someone like that in Kazeer, I would have left behind a few dozens of descendants,"

Next day, afternoon.

Kale had barely finished setting up his main stuff into the secret halls and taking pictures of the Tier 4 Inheritance spell books to make a copy of data, when he heard the knocks on the man door and went ahead to open it.

When the door was opened, he found Fynn standing outside the door. Kale observed him from head to tow.

Fortunately, he indeed spent money on equipment, Kale still looked through the new dual blades on his back, the tough hide leather armour and long black boots with metal plating on them.

'Dual blades that are light yet sturdy, low defence leather amour that makes it easy to move, spell imbued good shoes to help him move and resist traps on the ground. Hmm… The setup shows he had already figured out he needs to fight on the front lines, he didn't buy the shield because buying a good quality shield that can protect both him and me is not easy to find or buy with that much money, that's why he directly went for things that increase his fighting strength if it isn't coincidence then he has potential,' Kale thought, he didn't show any emotion on the face and let him in.

Fynn bowed then entered the house, he had only taken a few steps when Kale's emotionless voice rang in his head {Last room on the left side at ground floor, it is your room, I have left a few techniques that make use of the body or strengthens it in your room. At present, you don't have many qualifications to wield a weapon as you lack control over your body.

Pick three of those techniques, choose wisely, if you can comprehend even one of them properly in two weeks then I will teach you ‹Sound Transmission Technique›, if not, then we will go look for a new capable slave,}

Fynn's body slightly shook on the mention of the ‹Sound Transmission Technique›, it was a technique that could make use of Battle Qi to transfer voice messages, for someone like him who couldn't speak, it had huge value.

But martial techniques like that are not easy to find, the more useful a technique is, the harder it becomes to find it because they are then monopolized by a strong force.

Kale didn't buy a single martial technique here, but he had a whole database regarding them that he had filled for more than a hundred years while travelling in five continents of Kazeer, in his head. After some research he had already realized the similarity between Qi from Kazeer and here, they could both be used to execute those techniques.

If he wanted, he could sell them to earn money, but Kale didn't believe in sharing knowledge with just anyone. If someone wants something from him, then they have to provide something of equal if not higher value, money won't do it. This was only for normal techniques, if someone wants things like the «Ghost Bead» creation method or ‹Grey Plague Assimilation›, then the first thing that will come in his head won't be about the transaction but how to silence the other party.

Fynn nodded then left.

'The transaction with Sanae might take around a week, the news of bandit extermination will be out as soon as someone accepts the mission, the minimum time is around 2 to 3 days, they would need this much time to go there and investigate.

It's better to start his training from today, I will get busy later on, as for breaking through the barrier of Level 10, I am already behind Layla, the only method that comes to mind is ‹Life & Death Dream Ritual›, it was able to make my breakthrough to Martial Master from Martial Apprentice in last life if I enhance the power a little… I need to make preparations, a lot of soul seals are needed…' Kale pondered as he stood at the main door and felt the cold breeze caress his cheeks.

He closed the door and went back to his room.

Two days later…

Kale headed to the Adventurer's Guild, carrying a box on his shoulder, he arrived at the guild counter and placed it in front of the head manager of the guild.

It was a male, a short man wearing thin golden glasses, his facial features were ordinary yet his temperament was that of a scholar.

When he saw the Kale wearing the mask, coming to him, he smiled "Who knew Solo White Mask had such deep contacts,"

Kale understood his meaning, he was referring to Sanae, she was like a regular client for the guild because of frequently posting missions related to herb gathering and her reputation as Evergreen Tyrant in the past.

Kale didn't reply to him and just nodded, he looked around checking the adventurers in the guild then asked "Who is taking the mission?"

The manager was used to his cold temperament and didn't mind his behaviour.

"You don't need to worry about that, the party taking the mission is a well known and experienced group in doing such a quest. In fact, they had done it several times, escorting goods between Imperial City and Carran Town," The manager said in a praising tone, Kale was already having a familiar feeling when the manager looked toward the entry gate and added "Oh, here they are White Doves,"

Kale saw the party of three entering the guildhall, the one in lead was Master Stan, followed by the elf archer Koya, a female assassin, a robust bald man, and finally, two lazy looking men walking with their arms resting around each other's neck.

'Of all the adventurers in the world…' Kale started at Koya, who was, in turn, staring back at him, she was hesitating because his body built had somewhat changed in time when he finished cultivating ‹Snake King Body Toning Art› but his hair was the same, only voice confirmation was needed.

As expected, Koya quickly walked to him.

"Little Brother have we met before?" She asked in a curious tone.

"Never," Kale denied bluntly.

Koya exclaimed "I knew it, you are the one from back then,"

Kale sighed, changing voice was possible for him, but the facts wouldn't remain hidden if she probed further.

Koya first exclaimed, then patted his back and started reprimanding "What are you doing little brother? Trying to become an adventurer so early, you youngsters, sigh… You don't understand the dangers…." Her lecture kept going once it started until Kale looked at the guild manager who in turn looked at Master Stan.

Master Stan bitterly laughed and coughed a few times to signal her to stop.

Koya was dissatisfied, she reluctantly ended her lecture with a few words "Even if you are an adventurer don't be overconfident, okay? Only take easy gathering missions that have less danger and work in a team with trusted comrades,"

As soon as she finished, the manager took them to a private room and started explaining about the mission and its content, the adventurers were only told that the content of the box was very important, they needed to carefully deliver it but weren't informed that there was a Tier 4 Inheritance inside it.

Like always, the guild kept the privacy of both party, it was necessary to do that, who knew if some adventurer's greed triggered due to the content and they tried to make a false report of an accident to steal the inheritance for themselves.

Koya was surprised that a youngster like Kale was one of the parties initiating the trade, but she knew her limits and didn't ask any question regarding the matter.

"I will leave it to you," Kale said to Master Stan in a calm tone.

Master Stan smiled and assured him by stating their records.

Once the deal was done, Kale quietly headed to the Town Lord mansion, Town Lord of Carran Town was the noble controlling the territory around.

He was from a recently rising noble family, his rank was lower among nobles and was placed only above Knights, a Baron, but a noble is noble. He was rich and had quite a lot of resources under his control.

Kale arrived at the front gate of the garden around the Town Lord mansion, two guards were standing outside the door, one was old while the other was a middle-aged man, when they saw Kale walking towards the door, they blocked him.

"Brat, go back, this place is off-limits," The younger guard said.

"I want you to deliver this letter to Sir Volt," Kale said as he extended an envelope in his right hand, the guard snorted, he was about to act when Kale threw a pouch from his other hand.

The guard subconsciously caught it, the second he touched it he felt the sensation of coins inside the pouch, he opened it only to see more than 20 or so silvers in it.

"The letter is very important for Sir Volt, if you deliver it then you might get more reward but if you don't, and Sir Volt finds it out, later on, you will have to take the responsibility," Kale said in a gentle tone.

The guard looked at the envelope, the envelope was made of expensive flawless white paper and closed with a red wax seal having the enigma of a bird on it, the letter didn't seem ordinary, he then looked at the pouch, he was hesitant. The younger guard then looked at the old guard standing near him, their eyes met, they both reached a tactic understanding, finally, he nodded towards Kale "You should better not be tricking me,"

The guard entered through the door and met up with an inner guard, telling him about the deal and showing the bag of slivers, of course, he took out half of the silvers before showing it to him, the inner guard smirked then took the letter and pouch from him with a serious expression on his face.

The inner guard separated from the outer guard and went in, he carefully hid the pouch in his hidden pant pocket then arrived in front of a room, he took a deep breath before knocking twice on the door.

"Come In,"

A voice came from inside the room.

The guard went in.

Inside the room, a man was sitting near a curved table filled with several stacked documents. The shelves around him were also filled with various files and papers.

The man had trimmed hair and a short beard, he wasn't muscular or tall but his body looked well balanced, there were faint wrinkles over his face though one wouldn't notice them if they didn't look carefully.

He was Enan Volt, the Baron of all the territory around Carran Town, if he wanted, he could have built his home at a better place, but since the establishment of his family, he never changed his place, his roots were very deep around Carran Town.

Enan was writing a letter, when the guard came in and greeted him, he ignored it, after he finished writing, he raised his head and gave him a cold glance, he spoke: "What do you want?"

The guard gulped his salvia under his cold stare. He carefully organized his words before speaking "A.. A boy came to the door, with a letter, he said it is very important for you, and if not delivered, it can lead to a big loss,"

As the guard spoke, he carefully placed the envelope on the table.

Enan furrowed his eyebrows in anger as he looked at the seal on the letter "You fools, you got tricked so easily, you should at least check the seal on the envelope before wasting my time, the seal is made from normal wax, it is fake,"

The guard shuddered when he heard it, he inwardly cursed the outer guard in his mind and decided to settle the score once he goes out.

"Whatever, I will check it, I want to see who dare to fool around in my place," Enan coldly snorted, he picked up the envelope, removed the seal and took out the letter, he casually started reading it but just after looking through the first two lines, his expression changed to that of disbelief.

"Bring him..." Enan spoke while taking long breaths.

"Huh?" The guard looked at him in confusion. A second ago, Enan told him they were fools to bring in a fake letter and now his hands holding the letter were trembling.

"Bring me the person who delivered the letter, right now!" Enan shouted losing his composure.

The guard ran out in fear and rushed towards the main door to personally bring in the one who delivered the letter.
