Luirlan Lav, exile and serial murderer, is constantly on the run. After escaping a brutal death at the hands of his tribe, he is haunted by a supernatural spirit who forces him to witness horrible visions.



Then the sun mysteriously disappears, and his land begins to freeze over. He must find a way to escape across the perilous sea, aided by an enigmatic refugee smuggler, to another land seemingly perfect, but hiding dark secrets. He soon discovers that the one thing he can't run from is the most dangerous of all: himself.
