Chris POV-

"I am waiting for the answers luca?" my voice boomed in the hall where i held the meeting after the attack has happened. Haley and mariah are still unconcious in their respective rooms in the pack hospital. Doctor has confirmed that they are out of danger.

Haley healed much faster than mariah because she is a healer. But as she had emotional trauma of this whole attack, so doctor has said that maybe it will took her time to recover.

Now i don't know how to inform her parents and brother. It will create havoc, and maybe edward will snatch her from me because he has already warned me about her safety. But i can't hide it from them much to my selfishness.

Luca stood up. He was looking a little bit afraid on my questions.

"Alpha, i apologise for what happened to luna and mariah. And for the answer, i would say that the one who was guarding the east side of the border has been killed. Rouge entered from there. We didn't find the information of him yet. But i can assure you that I will give it to you as soon as possible" he told me in one breathe. Luca has first time disappointed me. Though steve understood his problem but i am still adamant not to forgive him that easily.

If i didn't reached there on time, moon goddess knows what could have happened.

"And why the hell did not anyone other than him smelled the rouge in our territory" i asked him controlling my anger.

"That is something everyone is suspicious of. "

He bowed his head down in shame.

"I think there is piece missing here alpha. Assumptions were made that rouge can hide their smell by the help of someone. " James who is a general of warriors told me.

I frowned in confusion

"It is to be believed that vampires and witches can easily hide their smell by witchcraft" andy (one of my official) said.

All men nodded in the hall.

"Whatever it is, i want every freaking detail on my table by the next monday. I won't listen any excuses. Understood!" There was a finality in my tone. I won't compromise with the safety of my pack members. It's not only about haley or mariah but everyone in this pack.

I stood up and exit the hall, with steve behind me. He followed me in concern of his mate to the hospital.

There, doctor informed him that mariah has woke up and is crying continuously.

He hurried through the door. I went inside and found them in a hug with a crying mariah with eyes closed on the bed. She repeated sorry again and again.

"Shhh...baby don't cry. I know you didn't mean to do this. It's okay our luna is alright" he cooed her with concern.

Even I'm not angry with her. I don't even know the whole story that how did they get there at the first place. Luca only told me that they jumped out of the window. But who initiated the idea of escaping, it still has to unwrapped.

"No, hal is in this condition just because of...m.....me. I'm ashamed. I didn't protect her. It's a shame to me" She cried hysterically. I was shocked at her endearment that she called haley as hal. Maybe haley herself told her not to be formal.

I cleared my throat which caught both of their attention. Mariah bowed her head down a little still crying. Steve stood up beside her. I noticed unshed tears in his eyes. He is one of the emotional type.

"You don't have to sorry for the thing you never did mariah. Haley is alright now. Even I'm scared for her but it's not your fault." I told her. She shook her head and started crying silently.

"I didn't protect luna, alpha. I'm sorry" she again apologised which i don't know how to console her. I nodded to steve and left the room after saying "Don't be " to her.

He again side hugged her and kissed her temples, she leaned into him. That's what i saw before i exit. I craved for my mate, to touch her, to hug her. But she didn't woke up yet. I entered her room. She was still in her wolf form.

Her Silver fur was shining in the light. She was looking calm. But i know her wolf is wounded. She herself is scared. I can feel it. I sat on the stool there and stroked her head.

I am too tired to go back into my room. All this chaos and my return from her kingdom drained my energy out. Also, i can't compromise her safety anymore. I have to be around her. So i did what was right at that time. I slept on the sofa in the corner of the room.

Haley POV-

Silence! That's what i can feel. My eyes are still closed but i can sniff everything. I'm in a hospital room. But why the hell I'm smelling the things too much.

'cause I'm in control, you idiot'

My wolf told me much to her annoyance.

I try to open my eyes. It opened but closed asap because the lights were blinding me. I again opened it and observe the white wall infront of me. I noticed my paws spread on the right side.

All the things which happened to me and mariah came to my mind altogether. I shivered at the thought. I don't know what would happened if mr. Alpha didn't reach there on time. I can't be like this. With much difficulty i sat on the bed in my wolf form.

My wounds are healed. Wow. When i didn't see anyone in my room, I changed into my human form. Oh shit, i don't have any clothes on and what if someone came in. I noticed outside the window, it was dark. Then on my left there was a clock reading 3 am. Okay so all should be sleeping. I can go to my room and grab some clothes.

Just as i step down from the bed with a little bit tumbling because of my situation, washroom door opened and a curse from my right side could be heard.

"Fuck!"

I saw mr. Alpha standing outside the washroom door gawking at me. Oh no. Not again. I'm naked. I should cover my self but with what. Yeah blanket. I picked up the blanket and wrap around myself. But he didn't budge. On the contrary he marched to me in long strides and did something i never imagined.

He kissed me.

Oh god. He freaking kissed me on my lips. He smashed his lips on mine and hold my naked body circling his hand around my waist. He pulled me impossibly close. I don't know why this feels so right. My stomach is torchuring by thousands of butterflies. There is something wet between my thighs. My eyes closed on it's own. I responded to his passionate kiss with my unskilled mouth. His other hand was on my right cheek and then nape of my neck. Both of my hands are on his chest. He is devouring my lips like he want to worship it forever.

A gruff voice from the back of his throat came. He squeezed my waist and I gasped at his sudden gesture. He entered his tounge inside my mouth and there i loss it all. My wolf was howling and wagging her tail in joy. I could feel his bulge in his pants which was poking my stomach. That moment was the best but not for too long.

Someone entered the room and cursed immediately.

"Shit! I'm sorry"
