A bittersweet dream

Let me be in an altered reality;

Where you leave me alone

But I don't let you be.

Forever telling your stories,

I will never forgive you but I will always pretend to.

My mind being assured that it was destiny.

Something better than I had ever hoped to achieve.

Me ending up with your memories

And you with whomever you will think is better than me.

The fairytale of bittersweet.

I am not challenged mentally,

Despite what you might believe,

I don't romanticize tragedies

But this is the best of our possibilities.

You should forever remember me; As a terrible accident

Leaving a dent on all your days of happy ends.

I will sit aside and think of our times,

At least once every night.

Every time I laugh, I will cut ties with whatever joy that made me smile.

I will fantasize about you being by my side,

Admiring me for how my eyes shine.

I will lose all my faith in higher lives.

Just about time for me to do what stays on my mind.

Commit every crime.

Make the people next to me cry

But never you, never your eyes.

I hope I die

But you live for as long as time

With the better kind.
