An insult to poetry written about love.

You were.

The saddest two words I have ever known.

You were the one.

I see you everywhere

But I just don't care.

I was..

I was in love.

When I look at the sky I see your eyes,

Compared to them mine look so devoid,

They used to be filled with love.

That's just not ours

I saw you with a new girl.-

That wasn't you, I saw someone else.

She can do better.

She must be really in love.

I never was.

A true insult to love.

Everything written is so mediocre.

You used to say it was Shakespeare.

An insult to everything great,

Blasphemy you did.

A true crime, it was.

I lied to keep in touch.

So if I may, to 'the one' I say:

You were and still are the most magnetic man to walk under the sun.

The existence of pure.

Corrupted by my worst.

All I did was hurt

The type of love people turn into folklore

You spoke to my soul, I don't have one anymore.

I am one dimensional down to my core.

People do surprised and for that I might apologize.
