Chapter 18
Demitria Frostine
"Everyone is expected to be excused in their respective classes to prepare yourselves. For three days, you are allowed not to attend classes, class training, and field demo," The headmaster exclaimed.
We are inside a huge room that can almost be filled with half of the Academy's population. We are all standing next to each other, facing the headmaster who was also standing in front of us.
He already congratulated all of us and explained what will happen in the next round. In the past hours being in this room, together with these amazing and powerful students, my heart cannot even stop beating fast.
I already exhaled countless deep sigh as I felt being pressed inside a small room.
'So this is how it feels to be in the same room with the Ardens,' I thought.
"It means we can go back in our kingdoms right? I mean we can train ourselves better when we are in the comfort of our home," said the blonde girl with her eyes screaming hell. They call her Seraphina.
"The decision is on you. You can either stay here or you can go back to your kingdoms," the headmaster said and put his both hands on his back.
He leaned on the wall and gave us all a smile. The kind of smile you would want to see from a proud father.
"The next battle is time-pressured, your level of power will be nothing if you're tactical attacks are weak," He said and left the room.
"I guess we will all be going back to our home," Tallulah said.
I looked down realizing that I don't have any home to go back to so I was left with no choice. I have to train inside the Academy's premises. Even if I can go back to our house, I didn't have the equipment that I can use to train.
"I know that you are staying here, I hope I could stay with you and train together but my parents wanted to train at home so they could guide me," Camellia said and hugged me.
She sounds so concerned about leaving me here. Her hugs have somewhat given me the chills that I want to feel for a long time. It made me feel that at least I have someone that thinks about me.
"I will be fine here, you can go home," I said.
"I will be going home later, see you in three days," Camellia said and kissed me on my cheeks.
She was such a sweet girl. Maybe her parents made them grow as they are now, sweet and gentle.
No one left the room even after the headmaster left the room. This room is giving a unique feeling like it was removing all negative vibes on our body.
We are all sitting in our place of choice. I was sitting next to Camellia as we both trying to relax. I tried to stop myself from peaking on Lorcan's friends but they all look happy and contented. They all look nice but they act different during battles.
"Lorcan was so funny, He was almost got killed in the last game!" Zephyr said. He was from the Air Kingdom.
"It's a 3v1 battle, Zephyr." Lorcan gave him a cold stare.
"Lorcan still got the most number of flags among all of us, while you got the lowest number, Dumbass," Illiana said and rolled her eyes. Illiana is from the Light Kingdom. The twins described her as a girl who likes silence but when she spoke, she always chose violence. Her words are like knives.
They were sitting circularly and they all look good together. Their friendship is precious. Craig and Camellia were right, they are inseparable.
"Are you going home Lorcan?" Tallulah asked.
I shifted my gaze towards Lorcan. I didn't know why I was also waiting for his response. Everyone looked at him, waiting for his response.
"Either. I'm still not sure," He said.
"I will be going home later, How about you guys?" Zephyr asked.
"Me too," Seraphina said without even looking at them. She always looked so serious.
"What if we should go together?" Tallulah asked them.
"That's a nice idea. I'm up for it!" Iliana said, looking so excited.
I smiled without hesitation. I feel so amazed at how they talk with each other. It's like they are all blood related with the way they laugh with each other.
I aspire to be like them where I can also laugh like there is no tomorrow, where I can smile without thinking what will happen next, where I could go anywhere I want without having second thoughts.
"I'll just go to my room, I still feel a little bit sleepy." I bid my goodbye to Camellia as I might not have the chance to see her later.
I hugged her and told her to be careful with all the training she will undergo. I stand up and went directly out of the room, aware that everyone's eyes are following me.
I sighed.
"What should I do next?" I said.
I am not sure how I should do my training but the only thing I could think of was to sharpen my vision so instead of going back to my room, I went to the field where all kinds of targets are visible there.
All kinds of weapons are on the table and all the students have the chance to pick the weapons of their will and own desire.
I ran my hands over the weapons on the table trying to pick which I should be training with.
"This is too big for me." I put down the huge spear in front of me after having it examined.
"Daggers are too basic, I need a weapon that could cause bleeding as soon as the time starts."
Daggers are my main weapons but I have already used them many times and they might read my moves easily with that. My hands stopped on the spear. The design looks complicated.
I took it and checked every small detail on it. When my fingers spot a small button on the middle part of the spear, I tapped it and another blade comes out on the other side. It becomes a double-headed spear.
"This will do."
I prepared myself in front of target meters away from me. I looked directly at the small dot in the middle of the target. There are three small dots, one in the head, one in the chest part, and one in the stomach.
I closed my eyes and let the familiar feeling occupied the veins on my body. I let it flow until it reached my hand and Ice started to travel towards the spear making it sharper.
When I looked at my target, I realized that my vision becomes sharper than the target's meters away from look so near and clear. I took a deep breath and with all the force I have, I threw the spear that travels at the speed of light.
When the spear hit the target, it was cut in the middle and fell to the ground. The spear pass through it and got pierced on a tree behind it.
I pulled the spear back to me using the summoning technique. The path where the spear traveled created sharp crystals that grew from the ground. I walk towards it and touch the end of it.
"Sharpness is good, but still not enough," I thought.
I repeated throwing the spear and summoning back to me until I can do it without taking so much time. But every time I got to hold the spear, something feels different like something is not right.
"Your vision is impressive but you can use a weapon that you are most comfortable with."
I got up as soon as possible when I heard someone talked behind me. It was Liro. He was one of the Ardens and came from the Earth Kingdom. The twins and he are related since he was the prince of their kingdom and Craig and Camellia was his cousins.
"Did I startled you?" He asked.
