Plains Crossing

They didn’t know exactly where anything was in this place, so they were going to have to ask around. They wanted to buy some more fresh ingredients and food. They would be wise to do that in every village they came to along the way. It would make life easier on them.

They saw a slightly older man break away from the group that was sitting in the town square when they stopped. He walked up to them with a friendly smile on his face.

“Well, hello there, youngins.” He said cheerfully. “What brings ya’ll here to our part of the world?” He definitely sounded friendly and welcoming.

“We’re just stopping by on our way through.” Braelyn said, trying to sound friendly and cheerful as well.

“Well, where y'all headed?” He asked.

“We’re going north to visit my uncle.” She told him, she wasn’t crazy about having to lie, but she had to admit, it came easy to her.
