PAINFUL MARRIAGE 8

Selena's POV

He hugged me tightly and it made me cry again. My heart and will were very happy because for the first time I felt his hug without violence and anger, just flattery. He was just sorry that it seemed to erase all the pain I was feeling.

We stayed like that for I don't know how minutes. I sobbed weakly and his apology intervened between us. I sank into his chest and hugged his side. I felt his gentle kiss on my hair and my heart melt at that. Am I easy to get?

He let go of my hug and I wanted to protest. I wiped away the tears but it stopped because he did it. I stared at him while his wiping my tears. He also tucked my hair behind my ears and stared at me.

"We'll talk, hmm? You should rest for now," he said. I just nodded at him. He sighed and guided me towards the master's bedroom.

When we got in, I sat on the bed. He was standing in front of me so I had to look up to look at him.

"I'll tell the maids to cook for our lunch. Rest here, I'll make some calls." I sniffed so he frowned. I closed my eyes when I felt his gentle caressed on my cheek.

"Will you t-take Alexa h-home?" I asked with my eyes closed. I felt him sitting next to me so I opened my eyes.

"No. She went home earlier," he answered. He's staring at me intently, I averted my gaze because he seemed to be looking for something in my eyes.

I heard him gasped, I was stunned to feel his kiss on the side of my head. "I'll be back," he said before walking out of the room.

I was stunned at the door he walked out. It took me time to process everything. I'm not sure yet but I already feel joy in my heart. I pounded on my throbbing chest and smiled.

Is this the answer to my requests?

I slowly laid myself on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Things are keep flashing in my mind. I hoped that the man from above already granted my requests.

While imagining things, my eyes are slowly closing. I sighed and took the pillow beside me and hugged it until I drowned myself to sleep.
