A kind old lady, named Annette accidentally summons a demon and mistakes him for her Gothic-phase grandson, a kid named Todd. She treats him like family and the demon decides to live with Annette since she had summoned him.

Brambles and Brimstone

It wasn't too much longer of a wait before Gabriel arrived at the restaurant. Todd waves to him, letting Gabriel know he had gotten them a table. "Was traffic that bad?" Todd asks. 


"Yes it was very bad. There was a car accident as well," said Gabriel. 


"Well you are here, safe and whole. That's what matters." Todd opens his menu. "I've never eaten here before. Is this place any good?" 


"You've never eaten here before? I swear I've seen Annette take you here to eat when you were a kid." Gabriel opens his menu. 


"Even if I did come here as a kid, any happy memory I have with Annette seems fuzzy to me." 


Gabriel looks up from the menu. He had heard from Annette what had happened that day and even he felt that Todd's parents were in the wrong with what they had done. "The grilled scallops are pretty good. But for first time visitors, I'd recommend the clam chowder."
