A kind old lady, named Annette accidentally summons a demon and mistakes him for her Gothic-phase grandson, a kid named Todd. She treats him like family and the demon decides to live with Annette since she had summoned him.

Brambles and Brimstone

Todd and Gabriel were busy enjoying their food in somewhat of silence. The restaurant had just gotten in a bunch of customers so it had gotten quiet busy. It was around this moment that Gabriel breaks the silence between them. 


"So have you decided on what to do for a job here in Amber Falls?" Gabriel asks. 


Todd sets his spoon back into the soup bowl half-full of clam chowder, swelling his mouthfuls of food before he spoke. "Not really," said Todd. "Haven't really thought about getting a job since I got back and started to help Annette around the house." 


Todd shakes his head. "My parents ruined my enjoyment of things by the time I turned sixteen. Decided to spite them by not pursuing a college education. It may not seem right to other people but considering what my parents had done to Annette..." 


"Yeah. Found the pictures of that day when I was helping Annette paint the flower pots while I was cleaning the attic."
