A kind old lady, named Annette accidentally summons a demon and mistakes him for her Gothic-phase grandson, a kid named Todd. She treats him like family and the demon decides to live with Annette since she had summoned him.

Brambles and Brimstone

Todd returns to Annette's home after spending an hour at the sweet shop listening to Sarah tell stories, of what would have been from their childhood, if he was human. It had been a long day and Todd was ready to head to bed. Keeping up the appearance of being human can wear a demon out. Even though with his arcane abilities, Todd knew his limits well and would not risk his true form showing. As he walks towards the direction of Annette's home, a shiver goes down his spine. There was only a few things in existence that could do that and he was walking by it. He takes a sideways glance at the church as he walks past. A catholic or Christian church, he couldn't tell but it was best to get away as fast as possible. Even as a high ranking demon such as himself, Todd tried to avoid any kind of church as much as possible.
