Ensanguined

Kandais woke in the midday to find a small breakfast laid out for her, Conir, and Danil. They sat around a table in the middle of the dorm and ate quietly, each worrying over the coming night. Ornerter arrived shortly after with a pair of silent students who cleared away the table and the dishes, eyes stuck fast to their task. When the students left, Ornerter smiled and offered four hours of free time to them so they could get washed and dressed and look around a bit more. 


For Kandais, Ornerter had brought a suitcase from her own apartment. What she didn't wear, he told her, would be taken along with them to Wolfhelm.
