Advisor Feud

At Arthis:

“So why is Williams and Velendez after your life?” Debby asked sitting on the couch, Mia sat as well.

“To get to you, if they get to me, they’ll send their agent and push him as the Prime Minister” Locke answered.

“But they’ve tried to kill me, twice. Who else is aware of your identity?” Debby asked.

“Vanquez. I went to meet up with him and asked for his help, seems like this is beyond Vanquez, that’s why I came to you” Locke said.

Locke turned to Mia.

“How’re you doing?” Locke asked.

“I’m fine” Mia answered.

“Why did Vanquez asked me not to poke my head in this? This is a very serious matter! They are seriously going to use your position to get rid of me!” Debby exclaimed.

“Yes, you are right Queen Deborah” Locke nodded in confirmation.

Debby phoned Ella, her secretary to phone Advisor Vanquez to come her by 9am that morning and shouldn’t inform anyone else.

“So what are you planning?” Locke asked Debby.

“You and Mia will have to come by my office by 9 this morning so we can discuss this with Vanquez and act on it. AROSA would have given me more information on this whole fiasco and then I’ll draw my conclusion.” Debby said and Locke nodded.

“Leon, please lead the AROSA agent to my suite, I want to discuss with him privately and ask someone to escort Prince Locke to a room in the castle. I’ll be in my room” Debby said, stood up and went to her room.

At Cathy’s

Cathy woke up and went through her morning routine, and then headed to the dining room where her breakfast was served.

Ringggg…

Cathy’s phone rang and she picked it up.

“Hey Jacob” Cathy greeted.

“Hi Cathy, are you free?” Jacob asked from the other line.

“I am sorry Jacob, I have a very hectic schedule today but I can accompany you tomorrow to Genevieve’s coronation” Cathy said and Jacob sighed.

Cathy knew Jacob liked her but she isn’t ready to be in a relationship again, not after the last one. You can say she’s afraid of commitment plus she has school work and royal duties, she cannot add relationship on top of that but Jacob doesn’t just give up.

“No problem, I’ll pick you up by 8 sharp, be prepared. Your advisors, are they arguing less now?” Jacob asked, now it was Cathy’s turn to sigh.

“It isn’t getting lesser, if not it’s getting worse. I really need them because they know more about the kingdom, they’ve witnessed it but how can I seek their advice when they can’t even agree with each other! I wasn’t planning into looking into their past king unlike Debby that’s too curious; but at this point, I have to. I mean, I have enough on my plate” Cathy ranted. Jacob could only feel for Cathy.

She’s the Queen, a Queen needs her advisors to make critical decisions but when the advisors divided themselves into two and are against each other, how could she make those decisions.

An evil idea popped up in Jacob’s head.

“Why don’t you point a gun at their heads” Jacob suggested.

“Jacob! I am seriously not killing my advisors.” Cathy yelled.

“Sheesh woman, I didn’t say you should kill them, I am just saying be blunt, point a gun at their heads and force them to reconcile” Jacob said.

“They’re advisors, not babies that need to be disciplined and I am not pointing gun at their heads but I will be blunt. Thanks Jacob” Cathy said.

“Anytime Cathy” Jacob smiled at the other side of the call.

Cathy and Jacob continued their call until someone came to inform Cathy of her meeting with her advisors.

Cathy has eight advisors, one is neutral, three are on a side and four are on the other side.

Everyone rose up when they saw their Queen and her secretary walk into the meeting room.

Cathy sat and turned to face the rest that were still on their feet.

“You may have your sit.”

She turned to Winnie, her secretary.

“Bring out the documents for today’s meeting” Winnie nodded and handed the documents to Cathy.

“According to the estimation of Minister of Work, the unemployment rate is 40 percent, we have to cut that down. Any ideas?” Cathy asked waiting for her advisors to sprout ideas.

“Well, we can give some of the unemployed people some money to start a business of something” Advisor Abinadab, one of the advisors on the side with 3 members spoke.

“Advisor Abinadab, I must oppose that idea because I am sure everyone can agree it’s a silly idea. It’s better we can start more companies that will be ran by the government based on the needs of the people, by starting more companies ourselves, we can earn more funds and not lose them giving it to the people running the company themselves” Advisor Indra, one of the advisor on the team of four said.

“I must say Advisor Indra, you are one harsh fellow. I cannot help but take offence in your statement that my idea was silly. The people are closer to the people than we are, they know the people’s needs better, if it’s that you want more funds which is not bad, we can lend them the fund and use the business they’re going to start up as collateral if they refuse to pay up” Advisor Abinadab said trying to push his idea as right, but Indra wasn’t having any of it.

“Advisor Abinadab, I must say that you are one shallow thinker, if perhaps something goes wrong and they are unable to pay up and their company which was used as a collateral is collected by the government, then it’s back to square one, the unemployment rate will only decrease temporarily” Advisor Indra said. Advisor Abinadab was annoyed at Indra for calling him a shallow thinker.

“Oh my, what sharp tongue Indra”

“It’s Advisor Indra to you”

“Anyway, why didn’t you go into law, I am sure you will be able to save more criminals from jail. Are you saying every single unemployed person we give funds to start up a company doesn’t have managerial skills…?” Advisor Abinadab continued rambling on but Cathy wasn’t listening anymore, they’re doing battle of insult and she will rather not let this turn into a full blown argument.

“I am not having any of this. Meeting terminated. Keep your personal grudges out of professional meetings. The presentation today was not very professional of you.” Cathy said and turned to her Winnie.

“Arrange an emergency meeting with the Ministers in an hour, I will hold the meeting on this subject with them instead”

“Yes your highness” Winnie ran to her office to do the task assigned to her by her Queen.

Cathy was on her way to her office, she remembered when her parents used to argue like her advisors, they could never agree on a thing. When her parents divorced, she was very devastated. She was not ready to stand those advisors quarrels.

“Queen Catherine!” She heard someone yell-pant from behind her, she turned to see the advisor who is on neutral ground running towards her.

“On behalf of the advisors, I came to apologize for today” The advisor bowed.

“I don’t need your apology, settle whatever scores you have with each other or I will be forced to take actions.” Cathy said and continued her journey to her office.

At Guyana:

“Tyler!” Brianna yelled and ran to her bestie.

“You’re here, why are you here?” Brianna asked busting with excitement.

“Well, I came to see you and I brought your favourite cookies along” Tyler said and handed a box of cookies to Brianna.

“Thank you!!!” She squealed, hugged him and handed over the box of cookies to one of her maids to store for her.

“There is an issue, I was about to go shopping for Genevieve coronation, I haven’t bought what I would wear because I have been so busy” Brianna pouted until an idea popped up in Brianna’s head.

“How about we go together, I could really use your opinion on what to wear!!” Brianna said pulling him along to the prepared car.

Tyler couldn’t understand how someone can be so hyperactive or excited but that’s what makes Brianna, Brianna.

When Brianna is around, the place is never dull.

“Well, only if you accompany me tomorrow to Genevieve’s coronation” Tyler said.

“Done!” Brianna squealed.

Brianna might look happy but she’s worried about something, someone has been repeatedly tarnishing her image online with evidence. And the person is perfect at it too because he or she couldn’t be traced.

In each picture posted, she’s seen making out with different men, but she’s sure it was photoshopped somehow because she doesn’t even get time to leave her work often, she got the entire secret agent under her to find the person but it’s proving difficult plus it’s causing unrest. She has to take care of it and expose the person before this turns to an issue.

“Brianna? Brianna!” a voice startled her out of her thought.

“I have been calling you for like about two minutes, everything alright?” Tyler asked.

“Yeah, everything’s fine” Brianna gave Tyler a fake smile. No need to involve him in this anyway, it’s her issue to solve.

At Amise:

‘Finally!’ Genevieve exclaimed in her mind.

She was done with all her work for the day, her coronation was the next day so Emily suggested that she treat herself, right now she was on her way to the spa to relax and get some massage.

Ringggg…

Her phone rang, it was Jason again.

“What do you want?” Genevieve asked rolling her eyes.

“Come get your secretary off me!” He exclaimed sounding like he was struggling with something.

“What are you doing at my castle?” Genevieve asked.

“Is it a crime to come see you?” Jason asked.

“But you came yesterday” Genevieve deadpanned.

“Just get your secretary off me, she has been flirting with me, she even refused to tell me where you are” Jason whined.

“I’m at the spa, give the phone to Samantha” Genevieve said and Jason obliged.

“Hello your majesty” Samantha greeted but Genevieve detected hidden malice in her tone.

“Save the shit. This must not repeat itself, if it does, you’ll be fired. Be professional, will ya? If you want to flirt with the king, don’t do it at my castle and I must not hear of it from the king.” Genevieve said not even bothering to listen to Samantha.

Samantha’s eyes twitched at the other side.

Jason almost busted in laughter.

“Yes, your majesty” Samantha said.

“Good, entertain the king, I will be on my way. Give the phone to the king” Genevieve said.

“See what you caused, now I have to come back to the castle. You better make it up to me when I get back” Genevieve yelled causing Jason to smirk at the other side.

“Don’t worry your pretty head about it.” Jason said and Genevieve ended the call.

She turned to the person massaging her to hurry up.
