Kidnap Scandal

“If you don’t want them to get the power of Mkrium, can’t they just get that kind of power somewhere else?” Cathy asked.

“True, I plan to ruin the Mkrium family because I want them to feel the impact of the love portion. Plus, they cannot really leave Mkrium because of its situation because Gina and the Mkrium princess are best friends, if they leave, the Mkrium family will feel used and work together to destroy them. Even if they get power from another person, they better be ready to fight battle with Mkrium to be free or be secret with the extra power which Mkrium will still find out about eventually because I will leak it. Any path they pick, I will make sure Mkrium destroys them and then I’ll destroy Mkrium.” Debby paused and then decided to change the topic.

“Well, Brianna you have a date, don’t you? You have to keep getting ready so you won’t look horrible for your first date with Tyler” Debby said and Brianna screeched rushing to her closet to keep searching for clothes to wear while panicking.

“Which reminds me. Genevieve, how did the meeting with the miracle doctor’s grandson go? Why was your father sent back to the hotel knocked out?” Debby asked shoving food in her mouth. Yes, she has been eating since.

“He has a name you know.” Brianna said from her head in her wardrobe.

“I was asking Genevieve, not you. You go prepare for your date.” Debby said waving her hand.

“Genevieve, Debby’s bullying me.” Brianna whined and pouted.

“Will you stop whining?” Cathy rolled her eyes.

“Cathy has joined her too.” Brianna was crying anime tears already.

‘How did I get weird friends, one is a total emo and downer, one is an excited child and the last one is a home wrecker.’ Genevieve thought depressed

“Okay Brianna, stop crying. My mum really has two months to live but she doesn’t have cancer. It’s a poison that is keeping the cancer going, if we can get rid of the poison, my mum will be back to normal. About my dad being knocked out, my dad’s under the influence of love portion. He’s really fighting it but long story short, the woman is tricking my dad into poisoning my mum.” Genevieve said.

“Is there a cure for it?” Cathy asked.

“Yes, there is a cure. This is where I need your help in Cathy.”

“What do you need?”

“The antidote will be administered regularly for three months. For the antidote to work, my mum must never be poisoned for three months. Our enemy is unknown which is very bad. I need you to talk your mum to take my mum’s case personally.” Genevieve said. Cathy thought about it for a moment.

“I will talk to her. She might not come personally and send her trusted aide instead though.” Cathy said.

“Okay, that’s settled.” Genevieve smiled.

Debby’s phone rang out, she looked at the screen to see it was Brice.

“What’s up?” She said casually.

“Your highness, there’s trouble. A little boy that was kidnapped was rescued by Gina and now she’s speaking against you for not saving the little boy whose parent has spoken out and claiming that under your regime, the insecurity increased. Now, the whole kingdom is speaking against you.” Brice said distressed.

“How did I not get the information that the little boy was kidnapped?”

“Someone suppressed it so it won’t get to you and Gina is claiming that you intentionally suppressed the news and turned a deaf ear. I am sorry your highness for not being so steadfast. I didn’t know about this plan.”

“Calm down, it wasn’t your fault. You’re the Prime Minister, you are very busy with your actual work. Williams and Gina couldn’t have pulled it off without someone’s help to suppress the news. Investigate it. Meanwhile, send a car to pick me up at the terminal, I am on my way” Debby hung up and picked up her coat to walk out.

“What happened?” Cathy asked concerned.

“Williams happened.” Debby said and walked out of the room.

Cathy turned to Brianna. “You were with her, did anything seem unusual?” Genevieve asked.

“Nope. I am guessing they just made trouble for her over there. Turn on the news.” Brianna said. Cathy grabbed the remote and turned on the television.

“This just in, Lady Gina Williams claimed that under Queen Deborah’s reign over Arthis, the kingdom has been in the worst state possible after rescuing a seven year old boy from Kidna…” The reporter kept on talking but they zoned her out. They glanced at each other.

“Oh shit.”

An hour after: Arthis.

Brice personally came with a driver to pick Debby up from the terminal.

“What is the outcome of the investigation?” Debby turned to Brice.

“The Minister of Information was involved. He helped Advisor Williams curb the news to seem it was you.” Brice said.

“Did you get any evidence?” Debby asked.

“Not yet, I was able to find out from my father, Advisor Velendez about that piece of information. I was also able to find out that Advisor Williams is on his way to see Minister Iwi, Minister of Information right now.” Brice said.

“Good.” Debby smiled. She was going to pull hell to the Minister’s house today. “Get some Security Agents. The agents would have been better but they don’t even deserve beating from my agents for what they did. Mere Security Agents will do.” Debby said, Brice immediately made the call.

Debby on the other hand made a call.

“Hi Gunther.”

“Hey kiddo. Don’t worry, we are helping you gather evidences against them but I just found out, the Minister of finance is involved. Not surprised though. The Minister of information and Advisor Williams are tough nut to crack but I am tougher. We were able to find an entry through their phones. I will send the information I have against them to you.”

“Thanks Gunther. Please try to find the skeletons in their cupboard.”

“On it.” Gunther smiled at the other end of the call and hung up.

“So there are more.” Debby chuckled.

‘I am going to use Gina to get the truth from them.’ She thought.

“Since Gina joined them to play dirty, let me show them what dirty means. Get someone to drug Gina fast.” Brice nodded and made a phone call.

“Take me to Iwi’s place.” Debby said and relaxed in her seat as the driver drove them.

Few minutes after, they got to the gate of the Minister’s place when Debby received an email from Gunther. She glanced at the contents of the email and smirked.

They were pretty low key so no one knew she was at the Minister Iwi’s place.

“Turn around, we’re going back to my suite in the castle.” The driver nodded and turned around.

Debby phoned Gunther.

“Release everything to CVN news network anonymously.”

“What are you planning on doing kiddo?”

“Just sit back and enjoy the show.” Debby hung up.

Brice turned to Debby.

“Hmm. Why CVN?”

“Because no one has power over CVN.” Debby said and leaned against the headboard with eyes closed. She’s pretty pissed they dragged an innocent boy into this. She made a mental note to visit the poor family later.

Seeing that Debby wasn’t going to say more, he decided to ask about what to do concerning Gina who was drugged. He only got

“Do whatever you wish. Just get a scandal out of it.” Debby paused for a moment. She then picked up her phone to make a call.

A worried voice answered “Hey, how’re you doing with this scandal, your cel…”

“Hey Mia, you free now?” Debby interrupted Mia. Mia didn’t respond due to surprise of being cut off like that. So Debby spoke further. “Sorry I cut you off like that. I know you are worried about me but I’m kinda in a hurry. You are very good at makeup and I suck at it, can you help me do mine?”

“Yeah, when will you be coming over?”

“I will be there in five minutes.” Debby said.

“Okay, be safe and careful.” Mia said. Debby chuckled.

“I will.” and hung up.

An hour and thirty minutes later:

It was eight thirty already in Arthis, the sun was out and the street lights light up the whole castle. It was peaceful and beautiful. Contrast to the castle, Minister Iwi and the Minister Oliver’s place was in chaos. However, Advisor Williams and Velendez aren’t that affected because they didn’t do the dirty work, the two ministers now realize they have been played. Debby is now ready to drop the final blow to get rid of them.

Debby donned in a purple off-shoulder designer jumpsuit and was decorated in jewelries, pitch black suede stiletto which added over ten centimeters to her height making her look more imposing. Her unmade hair which was packed to a bun before was now decorated with some hair accessories and to finish the look, a gold bangle that only the royals could wear and has been passed down generations of royals.

Debby walked to the car, Ella by her left and Brice by her right who refused to let her go in alone claiming he wanted to keep her safe which Debby was wondering about since over twelve Security Agents were going with her. Mia wanted to go but was discouraged by Brice so Williams won’t recognize her.

The driver got down and opened the car for her to walk in, as she wanted to enter, she got a call from Ashton.

“Hey, I saw the news, are you okay?”

Debby, Brice and Ella got in the car. Debby and Brice at the back and Ella at the passenger sit at the front. Debby nodded at the driver still on call.

“Yeah, I am fine. I really have to go. Sorry. To compensate you, I cooked before this came up. You better go there quickly before they finish it.” Debby smiled and Ashton chuckled.

“Yeah, I am going, it’s so sad that you’re not here to eat it with…”

“Yeah yeah, quit being a big baby. I am going now.”

“Bye, be careful. Don’t lose it.” Debby hung up.

Few minutes after, Minister Iwi’s mansion was already in view. The place was crowded with reporters who were stopped by Security Agents.

Her car arrived at the scene with two cars in front of her and two behind her full of Security Agents. The cars at her front were paving way for hers to move, she really wasn’t being humble about her status now.

Since the reporters crowded the entrance to Iwi’s place, Debby told the driver not to find a parking space while she got down from the car against Brice and Ella’s wishes.

As she was about to open her car door, Brice was already there opening the car door for her, the moment her feet was on the floor, half of her Security Agents were already with her ready to strike.

“Give me some space, I need the breeze.” She could have driven into Iwi’s place not stop at the entrance but she wanted some breeze, plus she isn’t keeping her car in the Minister Iwi’s place. God knows what he’ll do to it.

“Craig, assign two Security Agents to stay with the car. The rest should meet me inside” Craig, her head guard nodded and spoke to the buds in his ears.

“Let’s go” She said and begun walking, some of her Security Agents paving way for her through the reporters to Iwi’s place.
