We didn't even anticipated that Mrs. Wong's boss was coincidentally Alice McKinley. The irony. 


Jace was unfazed though. She didn't seem worried at all. She dropped the name casually as if the name was irrelevant. As if Alice didn't kill the Jabberwocky in the book. 


I knew how stupid I sound, but you couldn't blame me upon hearing Alice. What if she really could kill the Jabberwocky in real life? 


"This is so f*cked up," Elli croaked from the sink. 


"Are mom and dad going to be okay?" Aeron asked worriedly. 


And that made me fish my phone from my pocket. I already called mom earlier about our sleep over and she didn't suspect anything. I guess being a straight A student came in handy sometimes.
