CHAPTER 11

~FLASH BACK~

Noelle and Jason were watching a movie in Noelle's house. "This movie marathon is amazing," Noelle said. Noelle had invited Jason over for a movie marathon because her parents were out of town. "When you invited me over I thought it was in our best interests, not yours, now we're watching horror movies. Oh God," Jason said a tad bit upset. "Sorry, I just wanted you to like horror movies, all you watch are superhero movies. Forgive me?" Noelle apologized.

"You know I can't stay mad at you, Elle," Jason said kissing the top of Noelle's head. Noelle laughed it off and they continued watching their movie marathon. Even though Jason was a "man" as he claimed, he shrieked at every jumpscare. "Noelle, how do you handle this?" Asked Jason. "Since I was a child my parents were rarely home and I had to take care of myself, so I always watched horror movies to "help me not be scared" at the slightest noise," Noelle said chuckling.'

"You're weird ya know that?" Jason asked. "Yeah I get that a lot," Noelle said tilting her head in nowhere particular. They continued watching it and soon enough they were done. "I'm starving," Jason said. "Well let's go make some food, what do you want?" Noelle asked. "Let's go with pizza," Jason said. "You eat pizza all the time, there is something called a balanced diet you should try it sometime," Noelle added. "Yeah you're right but your cooking is amazing," Jason said. "Ok, then pizza. But just for today!" Noelle replied.

Fortunately for them, they had the necessary ingredients to make their pizza. Because Jason had little experience in cooking, Noelle did most of the job. They mixed the ingredients required for the dough and Jason rolled it out. Noelle chopped the onions, green and red bell pepper, and black olives. "Good job on the pizza dough," Noelle said. "I learned from the best," Jason said referring to Noelle.

After they had finished baking the pizza, they added some coke and took it to Noelle's room. They sat on her bed and Noelle brought out her gaming consoles. "I've been learning for some time so I'm confident I'm gonna beat you this time," Jason said confidently. "Someone's getting cocky," Noelle said.

Jason was off to a great start, but Noelle was having none of it, so she pulled out her secret move. Attacking Jason. Noelle started covering his eyes with her hand and played with the other. And in the end, Noelle won. "No fair, you cheated," Jason said pouting. "And it resulted in me winning," Noelle said proudly.

Meanwhile, Noelle's parents on their way back from a business party and encountered an accident, and were admitted to the hospital. The paramedics inspected their personal belongings in hope of finding a personal address, and they found one. They followed the address and reached the house of the said address.

Noelle came down the stairs at the sound of the doorbell. "Good evening, how may I help you?" Noelle asked. "Um, Good evening, please is this the house of Mr. and Mrs. Silver?" The woman asked with care. "Yes please, this what seems to be the problem," Noelle asked as she invited her in. Jason came down the stairs and sat next to Noelle.

"Are Mr. and Mrs. Silver your parents?" The woman asked again with care. "Yeah they are, and what happened?" Noelle asked getting impatient. "And why are you holding my dad's wallet?" Noelle asked, upon closer inspection of the wallet. "About that, your parents, seem to have been engaged in a serious accident and are admitted to the hospital," The paramedic said with extreme caution.

Noelle couldn't believe what she was hearing, just three hours ago her parents had left with smiles on their faces, and now they're in a hospital. She could feel her hot tears streaming down her face. As the tears streamed down her face it seemed couldn't get a hold of her emotions, so Jason who still hadn't gotten over the shock took over.

"Please, which hospital have they been admitted to?" Jason asked calmly. "The Silver Crest hospital, just a thirty-minute drive from here. We could take you there if you want," She said. "Yes please, could you wait for us outside?" Jason asked. "Yes please hurry," The woman said walking out of the house. Jason wiped the tears from Noelle's face and grabbed their jackets. He turned off the lights and the other equipment.

Jason helped Noelle on her feet, and they headed outside for the ambulance. Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the hospital and entered the ICU. Noelle couldn't stand the sight of her parents in pain and broke down in tears. Jason held her tightly in his arms to prevent her from sobbing further. "Remember Noelle as long as they're breathing there's still hope," Jason assured her.

He left to inform Leonardo, Noelle's older brother about the current situation. " Hey, Leo what's up?" Jason asked. "Good what about you?" Leo asked. "Well there is something serious happening, and I think you need to be here as emotional support for Elle," Jason said using his pet name for Noelle. "Ok get to the point," Leo said getting impatient. "Your parents on their way back from a party, encountered an accident and they're in the ICU," Jason said, breaking down the information calmly. "Ok, I'll be there by tomorrow," Leo said. And with that, the line on the other side ended.

Leonardo was in Japan for his studies, so it would take him eleven hours to arrive in the U.S. He booked a flight and started packing up his stuff, he knew that Jason was enough emotional support for Noelle but what brother would he be if he weren't with his sister in their hardest times? With that in mind, Leo requested a month off from school, which was granted.

In the meantime, Jason was consoling Noelle outside of the wards. "It's gonna be alright, at the end of every tunnel there is a ray of hope," Jason said. "I know Jason, but it is very hard for me, just three hours ago they had huge smiles on their faces, and know they have no emotion whatsoever," Noelle sniffled. "I know Elle but things will get better, in no time at all they will be better and get back to scolding you," Jason tried to reassure her. Which was working.

"I've informed Leonardo, and he'll be here by tomorrow evening, so you can count on his support," Jason said. "Thanks Jason, you're the best friend every girl wishes for," Noelle said hugging him. "Thanks now it's time for us to leave we'll be back by tomorrow morning," Jason said." They left the hospital and returned to Noelle's house. Jason decided to stay with Noelle until Leo arrived, so he went for the things he needed.
