Chapter 7

Harry's POV

I wasn't just going to be that stupid to fall for Damien's trap. I was too smart for that. All Damien wants is to have his revenge by making Shawn and I separate. Shawn and I have been friends since childhood. Our families were close friends. Well, Shawn and I met Elena in fifth grade. The first day I set my eyes on her, I felt a spark going through my body. I was so little then so I never knew what it meant so I let the feeling pass away. Shawn confessed to me that he had a huge crush on her. I could never tell him I felt that way too. So I pushed those feelings away. Knowing that my heart belongs to only one person, I decided not to fall for anyone else except Elena. Elena was just so beautiful. Her eyes....when I look at her, I'm totally blown away. Sometimes when she feels cold, I wish I could just warm her up but Shawn was always one step ahead of me. It was just so hard for me to confess my feelings to Elena. Shawn was always in the way. After I realized Elena and I weren't meant to be together since she said 'yes' to be his girlfriend, I buried those feelings. I tried a lot to control myself but I couldn't just watch to see the girl I have always with another person, not just anyone, my buddy. So I thought the best thing to do was to leave. I was worried when Elena took a gap year because she was sick for some time. I wanted to be there for her but I didn't think she needed me. She's got, Shawn. After finishing college, I thought it was the right time to come back to the states. I thought those feelings were finally gone but still...I'm lost to her every time I look at her. She was a virus that was incurable but I have to try harder not to love her because if I do, then I'm letting hell loose. I backed away from Damien. I didn't want to answer any questions. It was best if I didn't.

"Oh, now you're trying to avoid my questions because you know I'm right." He chuckled. I didn't listen to him as I kept walking but his last words made me stop.

"Aren't you a scared little duckling? Harry duckling should be preferable right?" Damien pesters him intentionally.

I retraced my steps and swivel back. He just played with fire cause my calm face swept away.

"What did you just call me?" I said in rage. I had try to keep low on my anger issues but Damien isn't helping and he knows that.

"Er...so now what? You're deaf? You know what I just called you. You're nothing but a coward."

"I've had enough of this," I say, ready to beat the hell out of him.

"Oh yeah. That's more like it duck!"

I aimed at his face to give him a hard punch but he dodged.

"Sorry, not my pretty face."

In a swift, he punched me in the belly making me let out a groan. I wouldn't just let myself be the coward he called me earlier.

"You know Shawn will realize very soon that you want her on your bed and I can't just wait!"

I blew him on the face this time within a blink. I already had enough. I kept on hitting him hard.

"Does it hurt so much that your adorable girlfriend Amelia loved Shawn's dick way more than that stuff between your legs called peanut?"

I kicked him in his business and he let out a loud groan.

"Ow! Not there you....you ass hole." He groaned in pain.

"There's no way that stuff is active Damien dumb," I smirked, leaving him there to suffer the pain. He truly deserved it.

I went straight home. I knew Shawn and Elena would be at home so I didn't bother calling.

Elena opened the door, shocked to see my face with bruises.

"What happened?!" Elena asked in a perplexed state.

"It's nothing," I say, getting a bottle of water from the fridge to quench my thirst.

"Nothing! Harry who did you get into a fight with this time? It was Damien right?"

"As I said, it's nothing. You don't have to worry about it. Where's Shawn?"

"He went out for a walk." She replied.

"Okay." I was almost heading to my room when she stopped me.

"What?" I say.

"These wounds need to be treated and since you insist on doing anything about it, I'm going to do something about it. Stay here. Let me get the first aid kit."

"Elena," I grumbled. She was just so persistent but I wouldn't deny I like the way she cares.

She went inside her room and brought it quickly before I think of escaping. She sat me down, treating my wounds. Her hands were close to my lips. It felt weird. We both felt the awkward silence. Her eyes didn't drift away from my lips and my eyes didn't look away from hers either.

I wanted to kiss her lips more than ever but I wasn't sure if she would let me. The silence came to an end immediately the ointment on her hands dropped down on the floor. We both bent down to pick it making out heads swat each other.

"Ow." She groaned.

"Sorry, does it hurt?" I asked, feeling perturbed.

"No, it's fine." She stood up, trying to avoid that moment from happening again.

She checks the time, looking worried.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Shawn is meant to be home by now. It is now 11:30. He doesn't come home late without telling me. Something's wrong." She said pacing around.

"Just calm down. He probably got stuck at something." I said hoping she would serene down but I only made it worse.

"Calm down?! Harry are you being serious right now?! My boyfriend is out there and I don't even know where he is and it's almost midnight. You know what, I'm going to look for him. I can't just sit here while the clock keeps ticking. She says reaching for her car keys.

"I'll come with you. It's not safe out there." I stood up to accompany her.

"I'll be alright." She insisted.

"I'm coming with you and you can't stop me." I insist.

"Okay, fine. If that's what you want then I'm all good."

I opened the door and we entered the car. I couldn't argue about her driving but I just hope my body isn't found dead in the middle of the road.
