CHAPTER 8

Elena's POV

We had just come out of five houses. Shawn's friend's place but we still didn't find him. I was getting more worried since Shawn never picked his call and Harry was getting fed up but all I could care about right now is Shawn.

"Let's go back home. It's late and it isn't safe here." Harry tried convincing me but I didn't listen to him. I started the car and decided to call Anna maybe she would know where he was.

"Hey, Anna, Have you perhaps seen Shawn? He isn't home yet." I hoped she did.

"N...no. not at all. Is everything okay?" She stammered.

"Yeah, I'm just worried. Are you okay? You seem.... nervous." I asked, a little concerned.

"Um...I gotta go." Anna hung up.

"What was that?" I murmured to myself confusingly but I brush the weird thought away.

"What did she say?" Harry asked.

"She hasn't seen him but she was acting weird. Let's try checking the club we always hang out."

"El, it's miles away! I don't think we can find him there. Let's just go back home." Harry says, wishing I would still change my mind.

Suddenly, the wind blew fiercely. There was a storm coming.

"Oh, no!" I say as I tried starting the car over again." I forgot the car was meant to be on the repair. I should have taken another.

"What is it now?" Harry asked, hoping it wasn't what he thought it was.

"We're screwed," I said, silently.

"Fuck." Harry blurted out, raising his hands up, bringing it back to his face.

"How are we going to get home now? The weather is really bad." I say, sadly.

"We find a place to spend the night," Harry suggested.

"And where could that be? We don't even know where we are!" I panicked.

"We won't find a place if we keep arguing with our butts glued to the seats."

I let out a sigh. He was right.

We both got out of the car. The rain fell heavily. I was already feeling cold as the rain kept beating me. We looked around, searching for where we could spend the night. Luckily, we found a ranch. We rushed in quickly, trying to get ourselves out of the rain.

I was so cold that I had started shivering. Harry pulled off his leather jacket to cover me but that wasn't enough. I was going to get sick. Harry was trying to figure out what to do. He pulled off his clothes and I was confused. What was he doing?

"Wh....wha...what are..you doing?"

I asked.

"I don't want to get a cold in these wet clothes. You should do the same." He says, looking for something to keep us warm and he did find something.

"Uh..." I wasn't going to get myself naked in front of Harry. No way! That will be so wrong.

"Your choice. You could keep on shaking like you've been shanked with a broomstick." Harry smirked, making fun of me.

I frowned my face because it felt like he was insulting me.

"Hey, I don't mean it that way. I just don't want you to get sick." He said, moving close to me.

"You're right," I say, pulling off my top as he watched. I knew he was surprised I did. I have now left my underwear. I should probably pull these off since it was wet.

Harry was just standing in front of me looking surprised. Why was he staring at me?
