"Why are you even watching that? The beast is a much better prince than Eric." Lucille said, walking past the pair on the couch as she put on her earings.

"Mom? Shush."

With wide shocked eyes, she said, "Uhh... excuse you?"

"Lacey don't say that." Nick warned.

"She already did. And just for that, no dessert." The four year old gasped. "Where's Angie?"

"But mom-"

"No buts Lacey. What happens to rude children?" Nick asked.

"They get punished." Lacey answered with a sigh, bending her head.

"Exactly-" One misstep and her foot landed on a lego block. Lucille cried out from the pain that somehow surged through her entire body. Lucille started hopping on one leg as she said, "Why is this even here?"

Nick looked back, seeing the lego block and his wife's bare feet. "I told you. You need to stop walking around bare footed. You're bound to get hurt." He got up, rounded the couch and had her in his arms in seconds.
